I've been working at Rack for about 3and half years now, and I love it! The fact that our owner was a bartender herself prior to owning this bar is extremely helpful in that she gets the business and understands why we do the things that we do. Everyone works together peacefully and we get along much like a family. Nearly everyone that comes in is super chill and laid back and generally just looking to have a good time. With that being said, from time to time - you're gonna get a few bad apples. It's a BAR and most of the time people drinking have a reason to be drinking. That may be because they're upset about something which can lead to poor behavior after they throw a few back. That's where the "serve responsibly" part comes in for us. If you've ever been kicked out, it's probably because you were too drunk and needed to be. If you've ever "been assaulted" it's probably because you were drunk, started a fight and one of us had to break it up. And lastly, if you feel like you're underappreciated, consider the fact that you made have made the bartender feel the same. Consider tipping, the term literally stands for To Insure Prompt Service. Harsh, I know.. but it's reciprocity. We take care of you, take care of us. We do everything we can to maintain a fun and peaceful atmosphere for not only the other people in the bar, but ourselves too. No one wants to go or work somewhere were people just get hammered and act crazy. We're all just looking for a good time and 9.99 times out of 10, that's what you're going to get. Ok... so this place is a small hole in the wall with their very own set of "Regulars".. While there is nothing fancy about this joint, the "Entertainment" if you will, by the regulars I spoke of earlier, can be a riot.. Watching the drunk guy at the bar get shot down by every female that walks into the place may keep you rolling.. However, be prepared he may make his way to your table offering a body shot.. OMG!! It was difficult to resist, as drunk, belligerent little trolls is definitely my thing!! Lol!! There is a cool juke box with a pretty good selection of music and the tables are pretty cheap! This is our new go to "kick back" place to shoot pool! You are cool with t-shirt and jeans unless you are interested in my troll! If you are, come dressed to impress (maybe skip the bra, that might get his attention).. There is a full bar, a bit pricey for well drinks, not too sure about food.. Updated review: I used to live in Irvine, so I'd come to this watering hole frequently. I loved it, the girls were sweet and knew their way around not only drinks but sports and good conversation too. I moved away for work during the pandemic so I hadn't been in some time but here's my experience since being back the last few times... The service is dismal. They've now got a bunch of people behind the bar who have no idea what they're doing (for some it seems as though they've never worked a day in their life) they have to look in books for simple recipes. I do see some familiar names on their scheduling board so maybe there's still some hope. Lorann would do circles around these girls. Bring her back!!! It felt more like walking into a tic tock than a business. The bartenders need to worry less about getting drunk and should learn how to make a drink. read more

I went there last night with two of my buddy. We were harassed by the girl bartender and the guy bartender that was playing pool with his buddies. Coward wanted to fight us with all of his buddies there. POS workers. Girl bartender said we needed to leave because we don't belong here. She didnt even acknowledge us. Well fuck you and all the racist MOFO. I feel really bad for the owner of this bar to have such a rude, racist, cowardly worker. I recommend bringing at least 15+ friends to back you up or you will be assulted. We were lucky to walk out of there. I would not recommend to go to this place unless you dont value your life. Hey EVERYONE.... don't let Nancy R's review stop you from coming to Rack. Leanne is a damn good bartender and she takes care of ALL of her guests. I've been there when it is super busy and Leanne is always on point! Nancy R, maybe you shouldn't be so damn drunk next time you come in and you will realize you got a stiff drink, just a thought! Oh and by the way, don't come back to rack cuz us regulars don't want to see your drunk ass bouncing off the walls when you try to walk out! If I could give this place 6 stars I would! I came here recently on my vacation to CA and Leanne was amazing! She put the correct amount of alcohol in my tequila pineapple, and my wife's vodka soda. My wife realized she wanted more than the standard one shot in her drink (because we couldn't taste it due to how well she makes her cocktails) so she ordered another shot of Tito's to add to it, Leanne promptly and nicely corrects this by bringing us another shot and charging us for what we ordered with a smile and fun personality! She was knowledgeable and made this bar a must try if you're looking for a good time with amazing service! read more

I just got home from a business trip. I was here on 4-16. Loved it!! While I usually like a little more dive in the Dive bar, it was great. I'm so sorry if I get the name wrong but Leah, Leann, was a gem!! She was getting grief from a lady about an under pour. A server in our group had her pegged before she sat down!! Being in the tourism/ hospitality business that was terrible!! My hat off to the bartender, for keeping her cool!! For still coming right back to us, with a smile!! We'll be back next year!! Negatives The wanna be sister and brother bouncers /bartenders tryna harass people to Get inside yet they give free shots to get drunk but. To just call the cops after all because I was drunk and loitering In the parking lot. Just because I was waiting on my Uber and I was arguing with a guy that wanted to give me a ride with force that cause my a night in jail and of-course. Nancy R. needs to lay off the liquor. My goodness, that temper! Nothing says "broke alcoholic" like demanding a double pour for a single price. Leanne is a BOMB bartender, I've NEVER been disappointed with my drinks or service any time she's behind the bar! Pro tip: be nice to your bartenders.. we have the right to refuse service. This place has bartenders running schemes here. Sheree steals from patrons and claims that they have not paid and takes their drinks away, Lauren uses intimidation to get tips out of people, she has told people not to come back just because they do not tip enough. I was assaulted last Sunday night inside this bar. Staff is unresponsive and did not do anything to catch or ban the guy who attacked me. I called the bar the next day to try and speak to the owner and was told the owner Lucy would give me a call, but she never did. Great local dive bar in Tustin. Best kept secret. Monday/Tuesdays are the nights I usually go. Deeanna is always bartending and hustling. She knows how to put a smile on my face after a long day of work. Place is clean and plenty of pool tables (5 tables). I started coming to this place a few months ago. I don't know why but I've been coming back every week since. Cool and chill people, Taco guys are out front every night.....and the POOL TABLES! Everyone seems to be raving about how awesome she is but her service was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out to me about her or this establishment. Great bar! Sweet bartender. I see a review from a lady on 4/15 being a typical "Karen." ...Ironically, I was here the same night & my bartender was super nice & my drinks were perfect. Leanne was bartending while we were there and she's an amazing bartender. She had some idiot trying to swindle her out of free alcohol added to their drink all night but she handled it very polite and professionally.
