Went here 9/22 and was excited but was let down. This is not the first time I come here but I like the places regardless of the way I was treated the first time. I grew up in Tustin and I am a US ARMY veteran and started doing events for all veterans in Tustin and Irvine. Well we got here with my group and right away the woman working there is always looks pissed off starts complaining about how many Ids she has to check which was only 12 people and she made some other guy do it. Lauren by far is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I went there last night with a few friends, we walked in and asked for a few shots we took our shots and attempted to order some drinks and the bartender Lauren stated that she was no longer going to serve us. I was at this bar on Friday and I've been coming here for 15 years. The new bartender was so rude and would not serve me. She was nice on other days but this day she had her girl friend there and she was keeping all her attention. She went out side for about 20mins and all I wanted was a beer. You get 10 people in the bar that haven't been here in 5 years and the bartended starts an arguement with someone that has a service dog and refused to serve people for petting the dog. Me and my buddies was eating at a restaurant and decided to go to this dive bar across the street. Once we we went in there, we can feel the tension already. We were good one minute and the next it seem that they were trying to find any excuses to kick us out. The way they talk to you is very rude. Unprofessional for anyone who tries to run or work at a business that involve having to serve customer. I know that not all customers are right. But don't pick and choose who get to stay in and who don't based on their race! They have just violated my first amendment rights! If race is going to be a factor, I would suggest opening a club instead or put a sign out front to avoid the unwanted from coming in! BAD BAR, BAD SERVICE, BAD PEOPLE, BAD MENTALITY!!! We as a human already have too much to worry about. I don't think race should be one of them. Of the 8 Dive bars in Tustin this has been my favorite for years, It wasn't just the bar itself as much as the patrons. It's a mix, both days and nights, but from day one I've been welcomed from all. The bartenders have on a regular basis poured drinks that make you want to go cross town to drink here. And more often than not we stay after work to close, the crowd and the bartenders change but the chill atmosphere rolls on seamlessly. 5 pool tables, pin ball machines, free popcorn, the juke box is synced to a video screen, the music shifts from Frank to Tupac. Restrooms clean, smoking outside but enough. My draw has been the staff, the schedule is on the back bar but my opinion has always been how does this place fill the schedule with continuous hot staff. From Lauren, Sharea, Dawn, Susan , Trina, Nicole,and today my favorite bartender from the past Sandy just started. Good pours, great service, and thankfully patience and politeness when my crew go over the top. Door men and bar backs always friendly. 8 Tv's and here you don't have beg for a channel change. And two of my favorite regulars are around to help when something comes up. New owner must be doing something right because I haven't been in since last management was here. And I haven't left since my first day when a one and done stop turned into a pool tournament lasting 3 hours of poor shooting, laughs, and now my regular pool stop.
