She was incredibly friendly, patient, and informative. I ordered the vegan huevos rancheros, and my husband got the pancake stack with two eggs and a side of bacon. The drinks were fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. My only regret is not ordering a second meal to go because I'm still thinking about it! The ambience is the perfect mix of chill, poppin', and inclusive. Even though it's geared toward a biker crowd, we felt completely accepted and were treated with the utmost care and respect. Plus, it's incredibly pet-friendly--our dog loved sniffing around the grass on the patio. Kudos to the entire team, from the servers and bussers to the chefs. It's clear that management and ownership are doing a phenomenal job, as a great workplace culture always trickles down from the top. This place feels like a well-kept secret, and we can't wait to visit again. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors!

It wasn't jam packed, but there were definitely folks in and out during the time we were there. First, I hear the sentiments of a few reviewers regarding tables being close. My love and I speak freely, laugh a lot and have full conversations while dining out, so if anything, there was a point where I hoped we weren't being disturbing to others by simply conversing consistently during our meal, but it seemed fine. With that said, they can definitely create a bit more space between some of the tables. Now the space itself, beautiful. It was Christmas so the decor was festive and a nice touch. We got chicken and waffles and pancakes and sausage, a matcha latte, wellness shot, and black coffee. Service was ok. Our waiter was very kind, all staff were. We did wait a little while for coffee refills. Overall, decent experience.

I've been going to Bottega Louie for over a decade, and it's sad to see how much it has declined…read moreover the years. Ever since reopening after the pandemic, both the service and food quality seem to have steadily deteriorated. I keep returning out of nostalgia for what it once was, but each visit leaves me more disappointed than the last. On my most recent visit, the service was noticeably dismissive and a bit sassy. The food was equally underwhelming. The Calabrese pizza was excessively greasy, and while I managed to finish the ribeye because I was absolutely famished, it was overcooked and dry, but at only $65 for the bone-in ribeye with fries, I guess I can't really complain. What truly ruined the experience, however, was the pear martini. It arrived garnished with a pear that still had the produce sticker attached. At best, this demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail and at worst, it raises concerns about whether the fruit was even properly washed. Seeing that completely killed our appetites. The restaurant removed the drink from the bill after i asked them to, but unfortunately the response felt indifferent, as though no one particularly cared that such an obvious mistake had made. After years of returning Bottega Louie, this visit was likely my last. It's disappointing to watch a once great restaurant decline so noticeably, but unless something changes, I can't imagine returning.

Traveling can be challenging, no matter how you go about it…read more If you're driving, chances are you're stuck in traffic, dodging impatient drivers under the unforgiving sun for hours. If you're flying, you're navigating long TSA lines, hauling luggage through terminals, and feeling like a package on a conveyor belt. By the time you arrive at your destination, the last thing you want is to sit around, waiting for your hotel room to be ready. What's worse is the industry-wide norm: early check-out (as early as 10am) and late check-in (sometimes not until 4 or 5pm). That's a six-hour window where you're essentially in limbo--and honestly, it doesn't take that long to turn a room around. But then you come across a place like The Hoxton--a brand that just gets it. From the start, I noticed something different: standard check-in at 2pm and check-out at 12pm. That's only a two-hour room turnaround, and honestly, that small detail made a big impact on my stay. It showed that they respect travelers' time and understand how exhausting the journey can be. The early check-in wasn't the only win. The Hoxton's hospitality extends beyond logistics--it's in the welcoming atmosphere, the effortless design, and the subtle feeling that everything is being handled without you needing to ask. When a hotel pays attention to the small details, like realistic check-in and check-out times, it sets the tone for the entire stay. It's the kind of thoughtfulness that keeps you coming back--and recommending it to friends. The hardwood floors and minimalist decor were a breath of fresh air--literally. As someone with allergies, I was relieved to walk into a space that felt clean, airy, and well-maintained. No musty old carpet, no suspicious stains, and no wondering if your socks would survive a stroll across the room. Just a bright, well-designed room that felt intentionally simple and refreshingly comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar were definite highlights. Whether you're in the mood to lounge by the water or enjoy a romantic sunset moment, it's a beautiful spot to unwind and take in the views. That said, be ready to pay for it--two drinks ran us about $50, which feels steep, even with the ambiance factored in. The hotel also features an on-site café and diner, which makes grabbing a quick bite or coffee super convenient. But, like most hotel dining, you're paying for proximity and ease--so expect slightly higher pricing than outside spots. Situated in South Park on the edge of DTLA, the location feels both quiet and accessible. It's not in the middle of the action, but the corner is bright and safe, and you're directly across from The Proper Hotel. A short Uber ride puts you close to a wide variety of restaurants, nightlife, and city attractions--making it a great launching point for exploring Los Angeles without the chaos of staying right in the center.

My experience with The Hoxton Hotel was defined by 2 main things:…read more1. Beautiful Historical art deco hotel with super friendly and helpful staff 2. Very limited (safe) parking options as well as nighttime noise problems. The Good: Love this style and vibe of this boutique hotel. In the rooms, there are many cute little features that add charm -- see photos of vent and light switch and retro decor. I did not get to try the restaurants but they look gorgeous especially the rooftop one. I peeked at the pool area near the restaurant; You can get a fantastic view of the city from there. The spaces are all kept quite clean and tidy. My room was small-moderate Queen size. You go through the door and the entryway is also your bathroom and though I admire how clever they work with the space, some area could have been improved. For instance, the water closet had more space than it needed. I really like the closed-door shower area though. Garbage bins were a bit hard to find (one in the WC and the other at the far end corner of the room by the bed). Then the TV is kind of awkwardly placed all the way near the window. Nowhere near center to the bed. I was drawn to this hotel for the perk of it being very dog friendly (and it is!). They provide dog treats, beds and bowls. The only issue I found was lack of potty space for dogs. I understand given the location on the streets but perhaps a faux grass spot can be made around a corner in the alley, near the restaurant could be made. OR a small patch of grass space created on the rooftop area! Then it would REALLY be dog-friendly. The Bad: Valet is $66 per night. PER NIGHT. And good luck parking on any of the lots nearby on the street (not associated with the hotel). There's a HIGH CHANCE your car will be smashed and vandalized. I initially tried the lot across the street and when we got back from dinner to park, these poor guys' car window was smashed and they said several other cars were smashed too. The lots claim they're surveilled 24hr, but that's a lie. Unless there's a 24/7 lot attendant, I would NOT trust these streets. I already paid for the whole weekend already ($52) and there's probably no chance to get a refund. So don't feed into these terrible lots. Risk of vandalism is high. Noise: I had requested ahead of time and upon arrival to hopefully be roomed in a quieter part of the hotel. But I've come to find out, this area is NOT good if you want peace and quiet. If you want nightlife sounds while you're out on the town AND when you get to your room, then sure, this is your place. I stayed on the 10th floor and starting at 10pm until 2:15AM, There was an incessant deep rumbling sound, as if someone's Escalade was parked outside the building blasting bass music. I guess it was a club down the street somewhere. If you're someone who can't sleep through this constant rumbling like me, then this will NOT be a nice evening experience. Fortunately, staff was incredible kind enough to help me change to a quieter room (shoutout to Kevian (?sp)) at 1:30 AM. The space usage and orientation of the larger rooms was better and I had no further issues. Yes, you can still hear the city din in the background but no longer the "pounding-headache" rumble from before. For some reason, it was so much more noticeable at the top-most floor. All in all, I really loved my experience here at the Hoxton and my fur baby boys also had a great time too. I would LOVE to return and want to give a 5 stars, but the 2 main issues (parking and noise) above really kept it from being a seamless experience for me. Well, it's LA... :/

It's not your typical brunch spot, and I liked that it had a unique Mexican twist on everything. I ordered their chilaquiles and a coffee, and both were solid. The chilaquiles were flavorful, well-portioned, and had that perfect balance of crunch and sauce. You can tell they put thought into their dishes. The coffee paired really well and didn't feel like an afterthought like it does at some brunch spots. Service was friendly and the place had a good energy without feeling overwhelming. It does get busy, so I'd recommend going a little earlier if you want to avoid a wait. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you saw it on HeyLA. Great food, cool atmosphere, and a nice switch-up from the usual brunch spots. I'll be back to try more.

A friend raved about this place and we had it in our "must try" list so what can I say about it now…read morethat we have tried it? Well my best way to explain it is if you're a foodie and love to check out different places, this is probably a great spot, but if you're someone who is looking for convenience and just wants to eat, this is probably not the place. The food is pretty good. We live pretty far so it was kinda fun to take the drive. We are maybe in-betweeners (lol) sometimes foodies sometimes just convenience so since we had time and were looking to try a new spot we were ok with the inconveniences, like parking, wow, finding parking is challenging, and the wait... geez... the wait... if you come a little later like brunch and are super hungry bring a snack. It was just the 2 of us and we waited almost an hour to get seated and then we also waited a long time for our food to arrive. The place is not huge so it's understandable. So taking those things into consideration, and that the food was pretty sold, we really liked it, I give it a solid 4 star rating.
