New moen shower valve with copper tub spout

Missing jewelry! My custom permanent yellow gold bracelet with a heart and star turned up missing. It was placed together with two rings and another bracelet all positioned side by side in a secure visible location on a glass table next where I was sitting and next to the area being worked on. While the workers were there I called to their attention that there was still an open hole. I was told repeatedly there was no open hole in my attic that they made. So I went in my attic to take pictures. It was a significant amount of time that I was not monitoring what was going on inside the house and I left my jewelry unattended ( almost 30 minutes based on texts and photos). I personally had to climb thru my attic to get proof of the corners they cut. They tried to get away with not doing all work listed on my invoice. They even rewrote contract instead of removing and discarding all old cpvc pipe. It took multiple attempts to get a receipt for moen warranty. I paid them thousands of dollars ( why didn't they know moen requires model numbers on receipt when they use moen products)? Definitely want to point out - because my jewelry is "missing" and "they weren't caught in the act on a camera" (I wanted to make sure I was registered with manufacture not them)- And thats when I found out they don't issue receipts needed for warranty? Just imagine if they didn't do things listed on the invoice and would rather reword contract instead of doing all the work- I have no idea what other things didn't get done. For example tub shower has copper pipe for the tub spout. I didn't see any welding. Hmmm makes me wonder. I definitely don't have peace of mind. And they are not honoring the Consumer Review Fairness Act. I did not have a good experience with this company and their lawyer says there can be no negative comments posted about them. So this is an edit from original post and all of the above is just my personal experience from hiring Rainaldi Home Services to do my Repipe. Missing jewelry! This review is long overdue. In October of last year, our upstairs AC unit stopped operating. We hired them to investigate and fix the problem. The brought a technician for a fee and he explained that the circuit board went out and a new one was needed. I told them to go ahead and fix it. They brought a repair person on a Friday to fix it, who spent almost a whole work day to get it resolved. It was a ripoff at over $1500 for the fix. The repair person also had trouble removing the blades, so he replaced it at no charge. After many hours, it started working again and the house started cooling. Case closed and a happy ending, right? WRONG!!! After I came back from a concert during the same day, I noticed that the unit stopped working again and I also smelled smoke. Turned out the thermostat was smoking. I tried turning off the thermostat and immediately sparks flew out. I called late at night out of panic (as they have an emergency line), but nobody answered. I left a voice mail, but never heard back until the next day. I had to switch off the circuit breaker. The finally called the next day and brought a technician to see what's the problem. He came and said the thermostat got broken and it would be over $300 to replace it! They didn't even look at the unit outdoors! I told them that was unacceptable and they need to really look what was the issue and fix it! He refused! I tried calling the office, but got ghosted. I was out over 1500 dollars with a fried thermostat and non working unit. I had another AC company investigate further at what happened. It turned out that the repair person at Rainaldi tried to connect a high voltage wire to something meant for lower voltage, frying everything connected. It meant I had to get the AC replaced! I was furious! Not only did they charge me over 1500 for a fix that didn't work, but they refused any responsibility for frying the unit! Either the repair person was inexperienced, or they maliciously did it to try to get me to buy a new one from them. If I didn't come back home sooner and noticed the smoking thermostat, the house could have caught on fire! Thankfully my payment company was able to resolve the charges. Because of their dishonesty and ripping me off, they unfortunately get my first one star review. It's a shame because we used them before and they used to be ok, but now they decided to try to squeeze every part of my money they can without fixing anything. I will never recommend them again.

We have an old house and as mentioned before on Yelp! we have had great experiences and terrible experiences. This time we had a fantastic experience. Hunter explained the work, was knowledgable and very friendly, plus, he gave us a competitive bid. The work was completed just as explained. The workers were skilled and focused. When there was a little bobble a month later they promptly came back under the warranty and got it straight, even though it probably didn't have to do with their work. This is the plumber to use, you will be grateful you did!

We had several quotes all of which were very expensive and traditional (tearing out a brand new bathroom). I had observed none recently. On further investigation, I did have a serious wastewater backup. I suspected that it was due to Comcast installing fiber optics in the neighborhood, drilling in the area of water/sewer pipes. So, the rest of the afternoon, Hunter worked with a camera and an auger to locate the blockage. He located it, but it was the lateral under my neighbor's driveway, which needed to be resolved by the utility company. Hunter asked me to let him know the outcome. It turned out to be a big deal. Indeed, the clay pipe was broken by Comcast's subcontractor drilling to install fiber duct. So, I knew there would be finger-pointing the like. I got it resolved, after a call to the PSC and a lot of back-and-forth. Sunshine Water sucked out the sewer and repaired the cracked pipe. I texted Hunter when the repair was complete, sending him photos of the cracked Clay pipe. I had shared his report with Sunshine Water, which gave them confidence in locating the break. This was very helpful because they couldn't get a camera in there due to the pipe being full of *(**&*&*. After I texted Hunter, he called me to ask how it went. I gave him the lowdown. In my long experience with home repair contractors and service companies, I have rarely encountered employees like Hunter. He left a job with loose ends beyond his control, but he cared enough about the job to want to know how it was resolved. Please thank him for me. And if I need plumbing services in the future, Modern Plumbing Industries is who I'll be dealing with. They're straight shooters, they communicate, they show up, and they have employees who give a damn. Thanks for staying family-owned!

On installation day the office called to confirm I was ready to support. Installers Wayne and Zack arrived on time, worked efficiently and carefully to avoid damage and keep work area clean. Removal of old unit was unusually difficult, requiring some disassembly of cabinetry which was done carefully and reassembled afterward. Wayne and Zack cleaned all areas affected and new unit solves the problem. This is my second experience with Harvey baker Plumbing and I expect to call on them for a much larger future job (decommissioning septic tank/field and connection to city sewer). Harvey, office staff and installers were all honest, friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

I have used Harvey Baker Plumbing for almost 20 years and have usually been very satisfied with the…read moreservice. This time was no exception given the technician, Juan, was amazing. He properly took care of an outside faucet issue that was "repaired" previously 24 months before. I noticed my outside faucet was slightly spraying water from the "repair part" recommended two years prior. In April 2024, I called Harvey Baker Plumbing to fix this faucet as it was leaking from the knob at the time. A young gentleman came and said he did not have the part on his vehicle to replace it (something to do with the pipe size), but he could "repair" it. However, I would not be able to turn the water on and off from the faucet knob. He said the nozzle at the end of the hose would serve as the on/off mechanism. When I discovered the current leak, I called and the receptionist said she could get someone out between 12-2 the next day. I explained the previous situation above and said I definitely want the faucet "replaced" this time. She looked up my previous invoice and said she would note on the ticket the faucet should be replaced rather than repaired. Next day, she called again and said she could have the technician come out earlier if I was available. I said I was and Juan came 15 minutes later, a little after 10am. He was a joy to work with, smiling and providing great conversation and expertise! I explained everything and he said he had the necessary part to rectify the leak. He did a great job. When I got the invoice, I noticed the parts only cost $33 compared to the "repair" part of $10. I was surprised the previous gentleman couldn't drive 4 miles to the office to get the necessary part and recommended the "repair" instead. I estimated I could have saved approximately $200 of labor charges had the work been properly completed the first time. I would have requested the previous technician get the necessary part had I known the difference in part costs was minimal. At least the "repair" lasted 2 years. I will probably continue to use Harvey Baker Plumbing in the future, but I'll make sure I request a more seasoned technician like Juan next time. Final note - Harvey Baker Plumbing now charges a 3% credit card fee on the invoice, which was not their practice previously. It was not a big deal to me ($7.75), and I understand a family business would prefer cash or a check. If I have a major plumbing issue in the future, at least now I am aware of the added fee.

I hired a plumber after they left, who found the leak in 10 minutes, and had it repaired to minutes after that. Best part? They claimed I needed water remediation, mold remediation, Lead testing, asbestos testing, and although no lead or asbestos was found, charged for remediation of those, too.
