Also, the place was busy yet Beau acknowledged literally every client when they were heading out. These are the kind of good vibes people I wish the world was full of. I got a decaf (Swiss process) funky monkey and an apple cruffin; legit so good! The drink was sweet (it has ice cream) yet the flavors were balanced, not too heavy on the peanut butter nor banana. The cruffin had a wonderfully crusty outer layer and a velvety cooked apple filling, not overly sweet...simply perfect. We went to Kauai for a week and didn't repeat any place except this spot. We tried a new coffee spot daily, sometimes 2 in a day but this one was our favorite. We would've gone a 3rd time before our flight but didn't want to be late since there are often lines here. The husband wife owners are really nice and have put together a great spot for their customers to enjoy the food. We got bagels on the second visit and it was good but the coffee is the main star. Amazing customer service and staff here with really good coffee. We bought a bag of coffee beans to go but wish we got more. Cute little vibey spot with places to sit and chill while drinking and eating your stuff. Will be back if we ever visit. We are holidaying in Kauai and we stopped by Rainbeau Jo's...it's an amazing experience. It is owned by a Husband Wife team (Beau and Jo). Me and my wife got iced Lattes with different types of milk than we usually do (Macadamia etc) and they were delicious. Our sons got smoothie which were so delicious (I tried them) and one of my kids got a bagel. The food was fresh such that my 15 year old went back to get a second bagel and cream cheese. I'd definitely recommend you making a stop - Beau and Jo are super friendly and the service was outstanding. Came here for a quick bite and caffeine before the start of our day, it did not disappoint. I read another review talking about the positive vibes and positive vibes there is indeed. There was already a line down the middle of the cafe when we got there and it only got longer while we were there. The man at the register was so friendly and kept telling everyone what they have on the menu, and thanking everyone for waiting because they were short staffed. Our food did take a little longer to come out so we just thought it was because they were short staffed, but it turns out they gave our food to someone else. They quickly realized their mistake and the nice man at the register came to apologize and apologize to the people they gave our order to. He gave us a gift card and a filled in stamp card for a freebie as a consolidation. As for the Brahvacado, which is a bagel of your choice, we got it with pesto cream cheese, and avocado, was delicious. On a day trip to Kauai for an event, I had time and wanted great coffee and breakfast. That's exactly what I got here! Rainbeau Jo's is on Rice St in Lihue, conveniently located near other businesses and points of interest in town. They have plenty of parking in the rear or street parking outside. It's a quick drive near the airport, so a great first stop while visiting too. The coffee shop has an eclectic mix of 1950s vibes with modern and neon, plus lots of plants. They have indoor seating with big tables, small ones, and bar seating along the windows, plus outdoor umbrella tables and a few more out back. The place was busy when I visited, but it barely seemed to matter thanks to their efficiency and care. It's a popular spot for good reason. Service is amazing, with I believe Beau, running the counter and being genuinely friendly and excited to serve everyone. They have a big menu of coffees and other drinks, local baked goods, and toppings. The produce is always local and I can say it was one of the best tomatoes I've ever had in Hawaii. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and cracked pepper, plus a cold brew black coffee. Prices are reasonable for being local and the quality. Mahalo too for the sticker swap! Go to Rainbeau Jos if you need to brighten your day. We came here on our last day and I wished we had gone on our first! We were pleasantly greeted with the most energetic man at the front. His joy was contagious and he immediately asked us what we were doing in Kauai and gave us some recommendations on coffees. The interior is bright pink and filled with plants, graphic art and ads for animal shelters which really got me! Whoever owns Jos seems to really care about helping people out and I love to support a place that does this. On our way out the man at the register also gave us some recommendations of a close by waterfall we should stop by! I got the Salty Dog where proceeds go to a local animal shelter and it was DELICIOUS. It was very sweet, but to be expected as there is ice cream involved! It was the perfect sip of salted caramel frappe I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn't find the place sooner! read more
