Such a cute coffee and smoothie shop located close to the airport! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell that they care so much about the food/drinks they serve and making their customers happy. My mom and I ordered smoothies - napali nectar ($10.25 for 16 oz) and Kauai sunrise ($10.25 for 16 oz). The smoothies were fresh. We also shared an everything bagel with strawberry fields cream cheese ($6.50). A nice balance of sweet and savory. The cream cheese was sooo good and you can tell it's homemade! We licked it right off the paper. I also got a cute sticker for $4. I can't wait to put it on my water bottle or laptop. I wish I came back to try their coffee. I heard it's amazing! The decor inside is so bright and lively. Random fun fact - their bathroom is clean and their toilet paper is plush.
This was such a great find on our way home! We needed 1 last breakfast before flying home and I'm so glad we found Rainbeau Jo's! As soon as we walked in, I knew I'd love everything about it! Fun 80s music was blasting! Service was great! The owners are funny and attentive. We loved all their food and drink suggestions. The pesto cream cheese on rosemary bagel is absolutely fantastic! The coffee was amazing! They also had great merch. I got some cute stickers and a funny shirt. When my son asked for stickers for himself, he was challenged to get me and his dad to hula hoop out back and be filmed in slow motion. Of course we obliged and he was rewarded with a sticker for each of our videos. Will definitely return here when we come back to Kauai.
Rainbeau Jo's was honestly one of the best coffee experiences I had in Kauai. I'm glad I stopped by on the way to the airport for one last caffeine fix. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming -- you can immediately feel how genuine and positive the energy is in this place. Its so cutely decorated! Looks like one of those cute coffee places in San Diego and reminded me off home :) Beau himself served us, and he truly made the experience unforgettable. He was so friendly, so warm, and just one of those people who instantly makes you feel comfortable. You can tell how much love and passion goes into this shop, and it really shows in the way they treat every customer. The drinks were amazing -- seriously some of the best we had on the island. Everything tasted fresh, high-quality, and made with so much care. Pair that with the fun, happy vibe of the shop and it just made the whole stop feel special. We're already saying we can't wait to come back to Kauai just so we can come here again. If you're in Lihue, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Do yourself a favor and make this your first stop after getting off the plane in Lihue, you won't regret it! Such amazing vibes in this shop, and they serve great coffee and bagels! Beau is hilarious and friendly, he kept the line moving but also made connections with everyone who walked through the door and everyone at the register. He even gave us a recommendation for a waterfall to visit nearby to take pictures at. I got to Coco Crunch Ombre which he said is a customer favorite and back on the menu for right now. It was sooo tasty, caramel and coconut creamy heaven. The coffee had great flavor and wasn't bitter or watered down. It was the perfect pick me up after landing in Kauai at 9:30am. We also tried the bagels, including the Jimmy Pesto on a rosemary bagel and the Brahvocado with added pesto cream cheese on an everything bagel. The bagels were fresh and had the perfect chew and crisp to them. The pesto cream cheese was full of flavor. There are indoor seating available and they also have a to-go window outside that you can pick up mobile orders if you're in a hurry. Parking is available behind the shop, it has signs letting you know it's parking for their shop. Definitely look forward to visiting again soon and trying a new drink option
The atmosphere, vibe and energy is nothing but good here. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The owners work at the register and behind the counter making coffee and chopping it up with customers. They have a great flow going. The place is spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating and pretty aesthetics. My coffee was good and husband enjoyed his green smoothie. I also took a peek in the back where they are mixing up our drinks and I've noticed they' were using relatively good products which is always a perk. All in all our party was happy with our orders.
I wish we had stumbled upon this place our first day on the island and not our second to last day. We had coffee all over Kaua'i but we were staying just down the road from this spot and decided to try it. Immediately when we walked in the vibes were high the owner was full of energy and greeted us and told us everything about the place and all of his unicorn staff was just as incredible and hyping us up. The decor was so cute and bright and fun. They had cute merch. They had great personalities and they had hula hoops, outback, which we did use. They took time to get to know us and talk to us and find out what we liked and everything we had was incredible so much that we came back the next day and ordered again. I got a standard Mac nut latte with vanilla and my daughter got some extra caramel blended drink, and then the next day she got a white chocolate blended drink with caramel added. And then my breakfast sandwich was a croissant with like a pesto, cream cheese, and sprouts and tomatoes, and it was so incredibly delicious. I can't even explain it and then my daughter had a kiawe (sp?) bagel with cream cheese and blueberry and she said it was so good. She ended up getting that both days and the croissant. I got the second day as well. I could rave for hours about this place. They just make you feel like you're a part of the family. it's literally my dream coffee shop.
This must be the place is the song that comes to mind when I think back to this spot! The owner is incredibly nice and enhances the whole experience of grabbing yourself a delightful treat. The line moves quickly and we had our coffees in no time. Our coffees were surprisingly good, strong and just the fuel we needed to kick off another day in paradise.
My cashier (who I believe was the owner) is the only shot of espresso you'll need!! Jokes aside, the vibe inside is like sunshine. Fun decor, bright colors, house music going. Great selection of fun coffee based drinks. Ordered the blended Kauai Cruiser which was a sweet start to the morning. Good hints of chocolate. Also had the Brahvacado on a rosemary bagel which was also really good and fresh. Would recommend!
No ka maikaʻi - which literally translates to of the best - is how I'd describe Rainbeau Jo's. Down in the dumps? Take one step inside and guaranteed you will leave with a smile on your face. Beau's greetings shower you with aloha. Their vibes inside are just as warm and friendly - from the insanely adorable stickers/magnets and merch, to the wall mural and decorations. I'm shocked it's taken me so long to discover this gem. With little smiley's on the lids, to the sip cover hula dudes, what is not to love. Oh yes, and the coffee is just as good. The Rainbow Rita drinks didn't disappoint. Caramel haze left me in a happy daze. Def for those that have a sweet tooth. Smoothies were also very good. Punch card for frequent visitors too - def get one if you're on the island and plan to visit more than once. Will absolutely return next time we are in the area!
Bro when I tell you that they're the most friendly people I've ever met. They are so inviting and helpful. The guy and his wife are so positive. And they remembered my order after being their once. I will always go back to that place. Also them having vegan bagels and cream cheese was everything!
Absolutely loved the vibe here at Rainbeau Jo's! When you walk in, your feel so special since they greet you like an old friend you haven't seen in a while. I loved learning about Beau (the guy at the register who greets you) and Jo (making the delicious coffees) are husband and wife! It looks like they make a great team. We ordered: -Cold Brew ($4.95/12 oz)+ Mac Nut Flavor ($1) + Mac Nut Milk ($1.25): delicious Mac flavor -Pineapple Danish and Cinnamon Roll: both were delicious warmed up They also sell cute merch including clothes, stickers, and more. I couldn't help myself and bought their purple crop t-shirts. Lovely coffee shop to start your morning. I highly recommend checking out Rainbeau Jo's!

Came here for a quick bite and caffeine before the start of our day, it did not disappoint. I read another review talking about the positive vibes and positive vibes there is indeed. There was already a line down the middle of the cafe when we got there and it only got longer while we were there. The man at the register was so friendly and kept telling everyone what they have on the menu, and thanking everyone for waiting because they were short staffed. Our food did take a little longer to come out so we just thought it was because they were short staffed, but it turns out they gave our food to someone else. They quickly realized their mistake and the nice man at the register came to apologize and apologize to the people they gave our order to. He gave us a gift card and a filled in stamp card for a freebie as a consolidation. As for the Brahvacado, which is a bagel of your choice, we got it with pesto cream cheese, and avocado, was delicious. If you're looking for great drinks and food, and excellent service, give Rainbeau Joe's a try. read more

Coffee & food in a fun, high energy environment. We stopped in for coffee and breakfast and were impressed by the baked goods options. Award winning croissants and artisan bagels definitely met our expectations. We're typically egg/bacon sandwich type people for breakfast so if you're looking for meat and eggs go elsewhere, but for vegetarian or light breakfast options this is a great spot. The guy working the counter was very friendly had clearly had his coffee that morning - welcoming and warm id recommend stopping in. read more
Absolutely awesome little joint! Once a food truck now their own cafe, Beau and Jo are husband and wife owners of this adorably pink and lively coffee joint. Must try the KIAWE BEAN bagel--it's deliciously sweet and savory and the perfect combo with the brah-vocado sandwich. This place is bright and happy and the staff are just the same. First off, the ambiance and location is so darn cute! Second, the service is so friendly and welcoming. They are so nice here and they work so hard. They were short-staffed but still took the time to explain to my boyfriend and I the different options on the menu. They had so many yummy options as well as seasonal specials, so it was hard for us to decide what to get. They even gave us recommendations for must-see waterfalls while we are on the island. The food we ordered included a Cowabunga (special) on rosemary bagel and a Bravocado on kiawe seed bagel. Both were soooo yummy and the perfect amount of food. We also shared a 16 oz cold brew and it tasted amazing. The coffee was definitely high quality. read more

10/10! During our stay in Kauai, we stopped by every day we could! First of all, the kindness/atmosphere is exquisite! The people could not be more kind and amazing at what they do! The drinks we got were also amazing! I got a Kauai sunrise smoothie, the funky monkey, and a Mac nut latte- they were all so good! The milk they use is of the highest quality. The owners are so friendly and you can tell they LOVE their shop. From the adorable logo and the ways they use it in their stickers and merch to the overall vibey aesthetic of the building. I got the salty wahine latte, it is SO good. I also got the cinnamon raisin bagel with the strawberry cream cheese and that was also delicious. They even recommended two waterfalls for us to go see. It's busy but worth the wait!!! read more

On a day trip to Kauai for an event, I had time and wanted great coffee and breakfast. That's exactly what I got here! Rainbeau Jo's is on Rice St in Lihue, conveniently located near other businesses and points of interest in town. They have plenty of parking in the rear or street parking outside. It's a quick drive near the airport, so a great first stop while visiting too. The coffee shop has an eclectic mix of 1950s vibes with modern and neon, plus lots of plants. They have indoor seating with big tables, small ones, and bar seating along the windows, plus outdoor umbrella tables and a few more out back. The place was busy when I visited, but it barely seemed to matter thanks to their efficiency and care. It's a popular spot for good reason. Service is amazing, with I believe Beau, running the counter and being genuinely friendly and excited to serve everyone. They have a big menu of coffees and other drinks, local baked goods, and toppings. The produce is always local and I can say it was one of the best tomatoes I've ever had in Hawaii. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and cracked pepper, plus a cold brew black coffee. Prices are reasonable for being local and the quality. Mahalo too for the sticker swap! If you're visiting Kauai and a fan of coffee and baked goods, you won't find better! read more

Go to Rainbeau Jos if you need to brighten your day. We came here on our last day and I wished we had gone on our first! We were pleasantly greeted with the most energetic man at the front. His joy was contagious and he immediately asked us what we were doing in Kauai and gave us some recommendations on coffees. The interior is bright pink and filled with plants, graphic art and ads for animal shelters which really got me! Whoever owns Jos seems to really care about helping people out and I love to support a place that does this. On our way out the man at the register also gave us some recommendations of a close by waterfall we should stop by! I got the Salty Dog where proceeds go to a local animal shelter and it was DELICIOUS. It was very sweet, but to be expected as there is ice cream involved! It was the perfect sip of salted caramel frappe I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn't find the place sooner! read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Beau and Jo were so friendly and made sure every customer felt special and more than welcomed. The coffee was absolutely delicious and we are from Vegas so we love good coffee. He took his time with us even though there was a long line and made the environment very upbeat and happy. Favorite coffee and bagel place on the island. (A little disappointed as their bagel distributor stopped making the jalapeño cheddar .) Been coming here for at least 8 years- always been great. The owners are always so friendly and fun. We love the new brick and mortar location. Last time we were here it was under construction still. If you are on Kauai- coming here is always worth the drive or time! read more

A random visit to this coffee shop changed my life. I came in because I saw online that they had vegan options. I informed the cashier of my allergy and he explained the various vegan options and helped me decide which to choose. He was also extremely kind and asked me what I was doing in Kaua'i. I told him I planned to hike, he wrote down multiple hiking trails that he recommended. I ended up going on one, and it was hands down the best hike I've ever been on. In addition, my food and beverage came out in under 5 min. The smoothie and bagel was clearly fresh and organic, and the tea was clearly actually brewed rather than a mix. I will definitely come back next time on the island! read more

Rainbeau Jo's was another one on our must try list. We were greeted & welcomed in with amazing Aloha energy & singing by the man behind the register as I opened the door and our family walked in. I had to sing back lol the vibe, energy, & service was great. My latte and bagel was a bonus cause it definitely hit the spot. The line got long fast but their service was fast. I love that they support other small local businesses with the merch they sell. I highly recommend Rainbeau Jo's & will definitely be back the next time we visit. read more

I'm not much of a Yelp reviewer, but I feel the need to contribute to Rainbeau Jo's 5 star rating simply because I had such a positive experience. Yes, the line was long and they are currently short staffed; however, the owner's warmth, positive energy, and kindness alone was enough to make the visit well worth it. The owner worked the register and interacted with every customer that walked through the door. Constantly thanked everyone for their patience and guided them through the menu. All the staff were also very friendly and looked genuinely happy to be there. The shop itself is so cute and fun, I appreciate all the little touches they made to make it such a lively environment! Now, even though their matcha latte wasn't on the menu this time, luckily, the owner was kind enough to let me order it, and it was exceptional. They use real, high quality matcha powder (none of the fake sugary stuff), and I was able to adjust the sweetness and add flavoring to it! I went ahead and added macadamia nut flavoring to mine and asked for it to be less sweet so I could still taste the matcha. It was creamy, balanced, and just perfect. I also tried their Polihale Stinger bagel special, and that was also soooo delicious! I could go on and on.. I visited Rainbeau Jo's for the first time on my last day on the island, and it was the perfect last stop before my flight home. Wish I had the chance to visit sooner to try more items on their menu, but I will definitely make it a point to come to Rainbeau Jo's anytime I'm in Kauai! Mahalo!!! read more

The friendliest service ever! Great tasting coffee. Staff were over the top kind and energetic. I loved their energy. They gave us tons of recommendations for local spots for us to visit since we are from out of town. Also, I haven't used a hula hoop since I was a kid and I still have it in me! So fun that they had them out back for the customers to use. Also, there is limited parking directly next to the coffee shop or all along rice street. read more
