    Kimchi Sausage

Been by the place all the time on the way to grab coffees. Never noticed they also served some food besides the ginger beer and other drinks. So I stopped in and tried the Kimchi sausage which was great. Would definitely come back again.

Let me start with this: I *LOVE* ginger beer. And to find a place that is dedicated to ginger beers is like finding a little piece of heaven. What a brilliant idea and an awesome shop! They have a rotating selection of house made ginger beers on tap--all made with fresh Hawaiian ingredients--that you can try. But if you just can't make up your mind from the small tastes, you can buy a flight of four, and go back and forth between your favorites. The three of us got flights, and frankly, we liked them all. That said, my favorite by a long shot is the classic (ginger and only ginger!), but the chili ginger beer is awesome too (with a nice little kick at the end), as is the lilikoi (a local papaya). If you need food, they have wonderful panini sandwiches. And if you haven't had enough ginger beer at the shop, you can take a bottle of fresh pour home with you. Note: this place has limited hours, pretty much extended lunch, closing at 2:30. Don't come too late in the day, or you'll be disappointed! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. And when you enter, the whole place has the wonderful smell of ginger. This will be one of my favorite haunts in Lihue!

My son absolutely loves this place. Not only does it have his all time fav drink "The Blue Pineapple" there's spots to sit and hang out. Yet, it's a quick grab and go place, ambiance is really friendly and child like so definitely a place to bring kids. There's arcade games to play so definitely check it out if you're into that kind of thing. Service is always quick and nice. I usually park down the road or near aloha roasters.

We were looking for a cold drink and found Aloha Ginger Beer. We got a cup of the classic ginger beer and a #1 smoothie (mango, banana, ginger, oat milk) which were super refreshing in the afternoon. Friendly service and we were able to try samples of the different flavor ginger beers too-the classic and Lilikoi were my favorite. Got a cute nene card too. Best of all, there's arcade games! Will definitely return again when we're in the area!

Have you ever wished you had a cool dad? I never did because I'm a loner, but if you longed for one, hit up Aloha Ginger Beer! Owner Casey makes the best paninis, hotdogs (I prefer the kimchee dog that comes with nori, kimchee and slaw on a fluffy brioche bun), and GINGER BEER! Him and his assistant are friendly, respectful, and really care about your dining experience whether it's your first time or fiftieth. No pressure to dress up here. It's 100% casual and you'll feel like you're eating at your friend's house. They have cool merch from local businesses and a bunch of retro arcade machines, some of which are free. Don't park at the office building next door.

Perfect balance of heat and sweet! I love the classic and Lilikoi ginger beers. The Ginger Slush is my absolute favorite afternoon pick-me-up.

Creative, refreshing, and dangerously good. This has officially become part of my weekly routine. If I could put a keg of this in my apartment, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. The rotating flavors keep me intellectually surprised and my taste buds genuinely delighted. Standouts so far: Spirulina ginger beer Lavender ginger beer Holiday ginger beer

Everything is house-made and sooo good! The flavors are unique, refreshing, not overly sweet, and not too fizzy (just the right amount). You can sample everything, and the staff is super knowledgeable and kind. If you love ginger beer, this is a must!

A great find for ginger beer. The space is cozy and playful vibe. A variety of flavors offered. Give a flight a try to determine your go to. They're all very tasty. Will be back.

Local ginger beer place! I 10/10 recommend getting the flight when you come to get a taste of the different flavors. We ended up doing the Lilikoi, Classic, Hibiscus, and Lavender. Very affordable and a fantastic little midday treat. The music was low key vibes and the staff/owners are very friendly. Support the local businesses where you can is my motto, and being Californian I can say that this was a fantastic little stop from us as tourists!

Hands down, the best ginger beer I have ever tasted. The original was my favorite, but the lilikoi came in a close second. The service was so friendly - we got to try every flavor, including the slush. Being able to sample the ginger beers is what convinced us to get 2 bottles. Wish I could drink this ginger beer every day. Highly recommend!

    Great merch!

I've had ginger beer before but none of them compared to Aloha Ginger Beer. Found them at a stand at the local farmer's market. Tasting a couple samples definitely sold us. So fresh, so zingy good! The gentleman manning the station was so knowledgeable and friendly. It made the friendly transaction perfect. Fast forward to finding their storefront this afternoon! A great corner store filled with wonderful merch and all things from various vendors. Loved the fresh baskets of ginger at the entrance along with seating and classic arcade games including Pac-man! You gotta love a place that not only serves a great beverage but values great games of the past! There are numerous flavors available at the store: holiday spice, similar to chai, lavender, original, hibiscus, and a few more. All delicious. Today we had the slushie. So tasty and refreshingly enjoyable. I highly recommend this establishment not only because it's a small business, but because of great customer service, professionalism and friendly staff. The young man at the farmers market was at this store today and helped us to locate a t-shirt In the size we wanted. He even remembered us and treated us like family. Mahalo. We will return!!

Wish we didn't wait until the end of our trip to try Aloha Ginger Beer, they will forever change your perception of ginger beer and become your new standard, real ginger flavor and spice without being too sweet Different flavors rotate so we decided to do a flight! My favorite was the lilikoi but we also loved the slushie which comes more highly concentrated, but is so refreshing!! Really wish we could get this in CA or that it were easier to bring home

Still it is obviously the best place to get the most for your buck. Our location has some distinct qualities that you may want to know before you go. 1) this is a local gathering place, if your expecting a Costco-RAT-Race, like the mainland, think again. People often stop to give hugs and aloha to friends they see, staying to chat in inconvenient areas to tourist (I am totally guilty of this, and I love seeing my friends, students and their families- you just got to send them your "ALOHA") This may be annoying to some people, but it is a way of life here- so just be happy to have a little slice of aloha. 2) they don't always have stock- Tuesdays are a great day to go. Lastly, 3) checking out. If you choose to self-check out... you may be confused. As it stands now, and for a really long time, there is one line to stand in for 3 lanes of check out. Is it logical: no. Does it confuse visitors and even people like me: yes. For some reason, Costco wants all self-checkout folks to stand in one line and then go calmly and orderly to whichever of the 3 checkout lane openings is free. This really confuses visitors, and sometimes even leaves them with stink eye or scoldings from the locals. After all, those who live on Kauai have been trained to the 1 line system. About 1/2 the time, there is a staff that alerts the next person to go to the available self-check out, but where they are not there, or need to assist someone with self-checkout or review and ID for alcohol: they are not there. I am really not sure why they have kept this single line system, rather than having 3 lines, but I guess there must be some reason for this. Does anyone know? 4) Please be kind to the staff, offer some aloha to them- Q, Carry and Deb are some of my favorite folks. Costco always tolerates me coming in costume as Darth Vadar and Princess Leia. This Costco is part of the aloha experience- please treat it with love. ***** If you are an executive member- this Costco is opening earlier for you! Make sure you check the times, this Saturday they opened at 8:45am and weekdays they open at 9am for the Executive Members. Enjoy and alooooha!

It was our last day in Kauai, and didn't want to spend our time at the airport, waiting for our…read moreredeye flight. So decided to go to Costco to see if their optical department could tighten my Costco glasses before heading back to the mainland. The optical department closes earlier than the store itself, so we ended up wandering around. We intentionally went there on the last day after our luggage had been packed, thinking it would prevent us from buying things to bring back. But there were two things that we don't see on the mainland, that were of good price: 1.5 Coffee beans from Molokai Estate Coffee (100% from Molokai, and which my wife confirmed later was very good) and a Ube cream Liquor from the Philippines, that went great with the said coffee. Both fit in our checked bags and made it home safe. It wasn't too crowded because it was close to closing and was of large size, including self checkout lanes. Another good visit to Costco.
