I stopped by for a treat after my appointment. It's great that I caught them before they closed. I had also gotten an iced chai tea latte (no picture, drank half of it so it'd be unsightly and unaesthetic hehe), which was made in front of me! Waited a good 2-3 mins. for the latte, as it's being freshly prepared. Lilikoi bar? Soft and just overall delicious. I had an option of adding some powdered sugar on there too! Sweet, with your usual Lilikoi taste we all know and love. The chocolate cheesecake was sat on an oreo cookie crust. Great for chocolate lovers! Gonna have to come back for the other flavors. I did do take out, and both pastries were packaged with care. Not shown, but the lilikoi bar had a separate bag which I found nice. Apparently there is a dine in option but I'm glad that the take out option is still a thing. The inside of the cafe is cute and quaint :3 covid protocol is still needed which is great, as the establishment cares about their customer's safety. Customer service? Lovely. As a lot seems to be going on in the world, it's nice to be comfortable, and welcomed. 10/10 would recommend for you to try this place out, at least take out a Lilikoi bar (i was here on a Wednesday at 2pm. This was my first time trying this coffee house and I loved it. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was friendly. Wonderful organic matcha with a bit of lehua honey. A perfect blend of that bitter matcha taste bringing out the subtle sweetness of the local honey. It was also served at the perfect temperature, the milk of the latte being warmed enough that it's hot, but not hot enough to burn your tongue. In addition the the matcha I got a lilikoi cheesecake. They're the perfect size, done in a round shape instead of the tradition slice. In line with the matcha latte, it has been created in a way that the dessert isn't overpowering, but instead a perfect complement to one's beverage. Thanks to the fabulous men who served me. Wow! I'm so glad that I decided to stop by to window shop at Raintree Bakery Coffeeshop. Standing outside looking at all of the muffins and other desserts, I needed to walk in to get a better look. There were several different kinds of muffins and they all looked good. I decided on the butter muffin, banana/walnut muffin, and the blueberry muffin. I loved all of the muffins. They were moist and full of flavor. The banana/walnut muffin smells strongly of banana. It has the right amount of walnuts. The blueberry muffin is tasty and moist too. You've got to try them yourself. I savored every single bite while eating the muffins, I could only think about when I can go again to Raintree Bakery and Coffeeshop. I noticed that they also serve coffee, lattes, beer, wine, sandwiches. I need to come here for lunch and of course, pick up more muffins. There is a place to sit with tables and chairs so that you can enjoy the delicious food immediately. First impression when I walked in was how clean the coffeeshop is. Kudos to the owners for offering so many food and drink options and yet they work in a very organized way. Parking. Yes parking can be difficult on Pensacola, but Raintree Bakery and Coffeeshop's food is good. It's worthwhile to look for parking. Give it a try. read more

Review is for pastries. They have muffin shaped cheesecakes here (bonus imo since you can eat one without utensils), I tried the lilikoi cheesecake, it's light with a strong lilikoi flavor. The devil's horn is a cream cheese cookie sandwich with coconut cookies, it's got a good balance of butter, coconut, and sourness from the cream cheese. Both pastries taste fresh. Minus 1 star because these can be less sweet. They also have a couple of flavored muffin options here. Will come back to try them. Shop is ran by two older gentlemen and definitely looks a bit old school but has a certain charm because of that. Pre-COVID, on early Sunday mornings, my boyfriend and I always enjoyed supporting small, local, coffee shops in our neighborhood. Lucky for us this gem of a place is within walking distance from our house. I've passed Raintree many, many times before on my was home from work, on my way to Ala Moana, etc. I'm not sure what took me so long to actually try this place because it is the cutest, and coziest coffee shop in the Makiki-Ala Moana area! There are two older gentlemen that run the place and if you know me, you know I have the biggest heart for the Kūpuna here in Hawaii. These two gentlemen are the most precious humans I have ever met. As soon as we stepped into the shop we were greeted with the warmest hello and invitation to sit and enjoy our order inside. My boyfriend and I got many things per the recommendation of the gentlemen taking our order. I ordered a basic latte with Irish Creme syrup and a Lilikoi bar, my boyfriend ordered an Americano, a breakfast plate, and a lilikoi cheesecake. Don't underestimate these guys because they sure do know how to make a strong brew. This place is a little pricey, but I'd visit a million times again because of their great service, delicious foods, great coffee, and we love supporting small local businesses like this one! read more

They do have fabulous cheesecake desserts and yes, we had a couple. Value: We received a lovely gift certificate from our daughters to spend at Raintree for a lunch date. At $50, I thought that might be a couple of dates. But we spent almost all of it on what was a good but not extraordinary lunch -- a bit pricey for my taste. It was a pleasant surprise when the (invisible laser )rope cordoning off the entrance was opened for me. A very nice gentleman attending the counter and dare I say front of house, welcomed me in. First things first- are you dining in or taking out? They offer both. The menu is on the door at the entry way and also on the counter for take out. The display of baked goods had such a beautiful presentation and it took me to my happy place. I didn't even remember to take a photo... sometimes you just gotta live in the moment. I glanced over a few of the lovelies and decided on the Lilikoi bar-which you could get powdered sugar or cinnamon sprinkled on top before packaging. The texture was The flavors of Lilikoi comes through like. I also decided to get the guava cheesecake. For those of you who know me...I am a very picky cheesecake connoisseur. Wanted coffee before hitting the Honolulu art museum, and we found this great little place. We had the most delicious creamy lattes and very delicious liliko'i (Hawaiian passion fruit) cheese cake muffin. My wife does not normally like cheese cake, but she goes gaga for anything passion fruit. The one from RainTree was superb. This place is a magical fairyland, with bright green walls and a red velvet ribbon letting customers in to the cafe. The gentleman who took our order knew exactly what we needed without us even telling him, like a divine sage. This place is an underground gem in the rough. I work nearby but hardly been to this place. The owners Elliot and Jerry know their stuff. Experienced and formally trained guys. They make some awesome pastries, teas, coffees and upscale drinks. If they don't have exactly what you're looking for ask them. I know they can be creative. I just got a quick lunch. Turkey with Muenster cheese and pesto panini, salad with Sesame Ginger dressing with a little Mayo and Mustard if wanted and a nice black iced tea with a touch of honey. It was magical. Very cute little shop near Kaiser hospital. Street parking only. Interior has some tables for dine in or an area for you to wait for your to go. I opt for to go and waited around 15-20 minutes for my food. Mainly is the panini took longer to make. If you only purchase their pastry and coffee, is pretty quick. The Turkey sandwich in panini style ($1 additional charge) comes with a side salad and a pickle. The panini is good but for $20, I think is little expensive. However owner was very nice giving some recommendation for the sauce and cheese. For pastries, I got their lilikoi bar, lilikoi cheesecake and a gingerbread man cookie. The lilikoi bar is on the sweet side, I actually like the cheesecake better. Is well balance between moist and creamy. The gingerbread man cookie has some cinnamon taste. Lastly, I try their ice golden chai latte with handmade almond milk. Very refreshing and aromatic. Their almond milk is smooth and glad the drink does not come with syrup itself, as I prefer my drinks not sweet. They give 5% discount if pay with cash, so all my food came out around $40. What it turned out to be was a really nice breakfast halved with a friend. I just wanted to try the breakfast and mentioned that to Elliot one of the owners, and he put the breakfast and served it to us on 2 plates. That was nice of him. I was ready to pay, but Elliot said pay when you leave. So we found an open table. The eggs are cooked by the steam frother on the coffee machine and it comes out moist and fluffy! Then a dab of Mac nut pesto is placed on top. For the meat I had to try their pastrami. Very lean and full of taste and flavor. I meet the other owner Jerry. Great atmosphere and cozy surroundings in the bakery. Parking though is always an issue for the many restaurants in thIs small strip mall. A new little coffee shop has opened up in the neighborhood! And shhhh they house some delicious baked goods. Today I picked up their tantalizing lilikoi bar and an individual sized lilikoi cheesecake. The counter staff were so friendly they mentioned I choose the perfect two items for sharing with a friend. Who's sharing?!? Heheh. I do believe the lack of parking may work against this cute neighborhood bakery and coffee shop. The only parking is metered parking just outside on Pensacola and also on Young and Beretania Streets. Tho, I hope it doesn't! Need a place to get my lilikoi fix every now and then :) read more

I've been popping into Raintree occasionally over the years for their various pastry options which we love (Outstanding cheesecake dessert and those Lemon Bars!). After years of seeing posted pics of the pastrami sandwich I decided that it was time to see for myself if it would live up to the hype. It did; The combination of tastes from the whole grain bread, the organic greens/salad/dressings, pastrami, grain mustard and macadamia pesto flavor really exudes quality and healthy cuisine. The relaxing interior environment has an informal intimacy and simplicity transporting me back to another time and place (If only it was on Bleeker Street and not Pensacola..). Unfortunately when I went to pay I was asked if I had cash ?? All of a sudden there was a ten dollar minimum for card transactions. Well this completely ruined the experience and has now left me with feeling like I don't want to go back as well. If you want to take credit cards suck it up and accept them for all trans actions , if you want to charge people a minimum than put up a sign. Don't have me order and then expect me to magically have cash. Fortunately I did otherwise I would've just walked out and left you with the order. Ate here for the first time with my wife. It was Halloween so the staff there were dressed up as Batman and Robin and the small restaurant had Halloween decoration and old Halloween music playing. Anyways, I had the Pastrami sandwich which comes with side salad and an iced vanilla latte. Also bought the banana muffin and pumpkin cheesecake which tasted amaaazing. The restaurant is clean and neat looking. The only negative thing I gotta say is the prices are slightly expensive, but totally worth it. There are limited street parking available depending on what time you come. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.
