I don't normally feel compelled to leave reviews for "fast food" or chain establishments like this but I really had to because we came here late one night recently and I was really impressed that the staff were above and beyond friendly, helpful and even while we were sitting enjoying our food (which was fresh, crisp and delicious btw) we just really noticed how the staff members were working and thoroughly cleaning so diligently. They were also all in great moods interacting with customers and each other, and they seem to actually like their jobs. Rare to see these days IMO. Kudos to the team at this location! read more

The first time I tried Raising Cane's, I was not impressed. Fries were soggy, chicken was a bit cold, and the bread/sauce were the only things I really liked. It was $16+ for the 4 piece tender meal with an extra side of fries and piece of bread. That's INSANE. I ordered it for curbside and it was busy but I got my food and it was all cold.. it's all the same food how are you not running through so much while it's busy especially. To say they were very "tender" is completely insufficient. The best word to describe them is the Chinese word, "Nèn", which is a combination of tender, soft, and juvenile, often used to describe the texture of Chinese steamed fish, another delicacy that doesn't exist in American restaurants. Raising Cane's chicken texture is quite similar to that of soft beer-battered fish. In any case, they were amazing and I haven't felt this way about chicken since the first time I ate Popeye's chicken years ago, though Popeye's chicken has the complete opposite texture. Yum! I've never been crazy about chicken strips but there's something about Raising Cane's that makes my mouth water. I love their fries too. We're not too crazy about their coleslaw but they let us replace the coleslaw with another piece of Texas toast. The last few times we've gone the drive thru, it's been pretty quick. The Caniac Combo is our favorite because you get two of their famous sauces and a huge drink. They even have music playing in their drive thru! They're located in the Barnes and Noble, Best Buy shopping center, across from the Roseville Galleria. Food's great, prices are decent. Some of their drive thru attendants could use a little more pep and enthusiasm when taking orders. I guess I'm so used to upbeat cheery employees like you see at Starbucks, Dutch Brothers or In N Out. At Raising Canes, the female employees standing outside taking menu orders seemed like they had never been trained in smiling, friendly greetings and customer service. The first time I had Cane's chicken was almost three years ago at a location on W Tropicana Ave in Las Vegas... in my review I mentioned that, hopefully, the chain would make it to NorCal one day. Well, we finally got our own here in Roseville (just opened 2 days ago). I did not dine inside the restaurant so I am unable to comment about that experience. Instead, our fearless leader (a.k.a. Boss) fed the crew with the 50-chicken finger Tailgate tray and 1-gal jug of Sweet Tea (pickup order). For nine people it was A LOT of food. It came with everything: 50-pcs chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, Cane's Sauce and the sweet tea. Raising Cane's is all about chicken fingers. That's basically all they have on their menu. The chicken are not cut strips, they were actually bread tenderloins and they were nice and tender. The breading doesn't have that much flavor to it but still good. Dip those babies in the Cane's signature Sauce® and there's your flavor! Worth the hype despite the negative reviews. Long lines in the drive thru and inside. Surprised there were a few empty seats on a Sunday at 6PM. Decided to order takeout instead. Food came out 10 minutes after which wasn't bad considering. Crew had smiles in their masked up faces which was nice. Got the Caniac Combo $14.59 which includes 6 chicken fingers, coleslaw, 2x Cane's sauces, lemonade and 2x Texas toasts (extra bread as sub for crinkle cut fries). Chicken fingers were crispy on the outside and tender juicy inside just as publicized. Breading was more than decent for a fastfood joint and it paired well with the Cane's sauce. Don't go in the drive thru! I went through the drive thru because the line looked short and there were 2 lanes open. The lane I chose, I ended up waiting over 30 minutes in line for only 1 meal! For some reason cars behind me with multiple meals were getting their foods before me. It seemed like they were only making and delivering food to the other lane since no one in my lane was getting their food. While I was at the front of the line, 5 cars that were in the other lane got their food before I did. The food was okay. The chicken with the Cane's sauce tasted great. My sister and I were at the mall when we noticed the Cane's was open and decided to grab lunch. From the streets, the line doesn't seem long but do not be fooled! It's a zig-zag line that's pretty organized. They had sever employees out there directing traffic, but we it didn't take over 30 mins. Ordering was easy since they have several people walking the line, taking orders. The gal that took our order seemed confused though. I asked if they sold the sandwich by itself and she first told me yes, then no, then yes, no again and we finally landed on yes. Lol but after hearing my total and seeing the items...she definitely charged me for the sandwich combo and I got the combo...minus the drinks... We ordered 2 Caniac combos and I guess, 2 sandwich combos for $45. Pretty pricey for some chicken strips and fries... The food was good but I wouldn't say it's worth the wait or price tag. Now that it has subsided, the strict cooking process has relaxed, management shows the stores has promise, employees, relaxed and no longer show that 1st month bright eye, bright smile, pure courtesy & professionalism and excitement. I came here during my lunch break. I was greeted with a welcome and was directed to the next open register. Being a noobie and 1st timer here. I was not questioned by the young adult or maybe a young teenager register/order taker on recommendations or even asked if this was my first time. I ordered the 3 piece with fries and a drink. Dining room has some booths, bar height long tables and bench seating with tables. The ambiance with the hip music and disco ball with lights is something. But annoying when the lights dim during the lunch hour. But this is what attracts the late night customers or maybe even mid-day customers. The drink station is immediately to right of the cashier as well as the ketchup and utensil station. Poor location in my opinion as this clogs and bottleneck the corner for dine in and to go patrons. Particularly the to go customers who just stand there visible and act as if thete is no one around them. Some people care not for other people and will totally be a "Karen/Ken". Even being polite to say excuse me, just to get ketchup. These people won't move. So beware and bring patience. But again, is this to bring the old college ambiance and possibly start a fight? Who knows. The food: I was wondering how long it would take to get my order. Not realizing my name had already been called. But I was unable to hear an employee as she shouted my name while the music is playing loudly. What I didn't understand, is why she didn't just use the Mic PA like the other employee did? Now, this is nothing but breaded, deep fried chicken strips. The chicken is moist, not oily, almost like pulled chicken but not quite. My dissapoitment, was the breaded portion. It wasn't "crunchy", almost soggy like a KFC. So I couldn't tell if there was to be a flavor or as othwr said has a good crunch. So I am divided if this was to be like a fish & chip battered style breaded or with a more crunch. I got more flavor from their dipping sauce and moistness of the chicken. But as I have said. The breaded portion is a disappointment. I will need to go again and to another store to validate my opinion. The sides, Crinkle Fries and Texas Toast. Fries is fries, no matter where you go. It's all about the oil and how well you deep fry potatoes. But like all fries they will get soggy as the minutes go by. The Texas Toast same sentiment. Its about how this fried on a pan or toasted. Too much butter and the soggier it gets. Less butter, then its just toast. These items is nothing to crave or talk about amongst your friends or colleagues. In summary, this place was made in mind with its history. 1996 to 2022, It's suppose to be a quick eat with a budget in mind. Place it next to a College or even a Nightclub and watch people flock to the store. Because these people were/are simply hungry and nearly broke. I went here Christmas Eve day 2024 for lunch with my family. Although it was crowded, we were able to get through the drive thru rather quickly! My one complaint here... I ordered meals that came with drinks but upon arriving home realized Just by looking at them... my Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke looked strange. Turns out the sodas both lacked flavor. They have a lot of employees working, probably like almost 20 people. Services : good and bad. Good when they are ringing u up, they are pretty fast and bad when u went up to counter ask for boxes and six people with two customers by the counter waiting for help nobody helps and just ignore u until u called them, then after help one customer the cashier is just so rude and ignored the other one. We arrived around noon on a rainy Saturday and found a very busy place, but we were nicely greeted and ordered the 6 piece chicken tenders to share, called Caniac. We had a little wait, but it was very busy. We barely found a place to sit as the dining area was pretty full. They are big on their iced tea, and we like to mix a little sweet with unsweetened tea. The chicken fingers were generously sized and tender. The crinkle fries were good, except they were a little salty. I need to remember to order with no added salt. We stopped to grab a bite to eat on our way back to Sacramento. We got to the drive thru which had 2 lanes. An employee waved me over to the right lane and took our order. We proceeded to pull up after we ordered only to notice the right lane was blocked off so we had to get in a single file lane, which made no sense. We literally sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes without moving. (There were 5 cars ahead of us). We finally started to move up and when there was only one car ahead of us, they proceeded to add a lot more to their order and handed cash to the cashier. So we had to wait for them to make that added order. We literally sat in the drive thru for 25 minutes. By the time we got our drinks, the majority of our ice had melted and our food was not hot. An employee should have been sent out with our food when it was ready and we could have used the empty right lane to leave. OR they could have had the car that added an order go park while they were waiting for it, instead of holding up the entire line. I spoke to the cashier and was never told sorry for the wait. He clearly didn't care. Fast food is supposed to be fast. We could have ordered inside and eaten our entire meal in less time than we sat in the drive thru, which we would have done had we not had a sleeping 10 week old baby in the car. We'll never go back to that Cane's again. We prefer to spend our money on good service and hot food, neither of which we received. read more

While I would like to commend the food, I am compelled to address the disappointing customer service. I've used mobile ordering twice, both times to avoid long lines, which is understandable. However, on both occasions, my order was not ready until 20+ minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. Additionally, two other cars, which either arrived at the same time or later, received their orders before mine, despite having larger orders. In hindsight, it would have been faster to wait in the long line. I eventually had to go inside to inquire about the delay. Which I had to wait an additional 15 minutes due to them loosing my order. This Canes is one of my classic stops in the way to Tahoe. The food quality here is usually great, and the service at this location is typically the fastest I have ever experienced in fast food. I love that the restaurant has posters and signs around explaining the history of the Canes logo and name. This place just recently opened so the walk-in experience was a bit noisy, but it was friendly from the momentI walked through the door and were welcomed by the cashiers. My order was processed quickly, the crew had lots of energy, and their menu is simple: chicken fingers fried with a side of Texas Toast and crinkle fries.
