The food they served me was spoiled already!! I did an online order and picked up through their drive thru literally 10 minutes after I placed the order. There's no way the avocado could have turned so fast. It was black and looks like something is about to grow out of it. The pico de gallo also tasted spoiled. Went in today. I was greeted immediately by staff. I had some trouble using the order kiosk and a nice lady that worked there helped me order. The waiting area was clean .The food was fine I have zero complaints. I ordered a salad that I thought was great and had plenty of protein and veggies and they put together nicely too. My only complaint would be the iced tea- i believe it may spoiled , or not fresh. I had to throw it away it was so bad and this was unsweetened and tasted sour. The tea needs to be made fresh daily no matter what and the container. I would go back again, I just won't order the tea next time lol. read more

I have tried many things here and my favorite is the chicken meal with rice and beans. The tacos are delicious as well as the chicken taco salad. My husband loves the chicken guacamole burrito. I've really enjoyed my recent visits to this Roseville El Pollo Loco. Great service, accurate orders, and perfectly prepared chicken that always tastes great. Convenient location near Costco and Home Depot. The restaurant is always clean and inviting, the employees are very pleasant and helpful, and the food is always prepared exactly as requested. Every order I have placed is ready in around 5 minutes. I've ordered the tacos, burritos, and chicken plates and they all taste very good. The dining room has a self-serve soft drink dispenser that makes it very convenient for refills. The salsa offerings that are provided with every meal are exceptional. It's hard to believe that food that tastes this good is also one of the healthiest in the fast food industry. The El Pollo app. has some great savings specials and using the app. allows us to customize our order. The citrus marinade used during the grilling process really enhances the flavor of the chicken. Numerous side dish options taste equally as good as the chicken. My husband and I were the only people in line so service was super fast and the cashier was friendly. Ordered the chicken avocado taco, which I've never had before, and it was amazing. Ingredients tasted fresh. Multiple tables full but the crowd type was low-key, it was a nice dining experience. Bathroom was clean and the shopping center/area is very nice. This location has done it! They have single-handedly developed a whole new species of chickens. I have a standing Monday Night Football group and thought I might mix it up with my turn for hosting. I searched around and had anticipated buying the great flavored El Pollo Loco. Little did I know that this would be a huge mistake. At first, trying to reach this location by phone was difficult enough due to the communication at the other end often the phone. The individual that answered was plain rude. I wrote it off to a language barrier. Still I wanted to give them the benefit of my reluctant doubt. I decided to go directly to this restaurant and place the order. I studied their menu and they kept telling me that I needed the family meal. No! All I want is 2 chickens cut up and ready to go... I paid, dearly, over $45 for the 2 chickens and a drink. After a few brief minutes, the order was ready. Great I thought. 2 chickens should yield a decent dinner for 4 guys and 1 gal. Let's see, that should be about 16 pieces...... right? Once I got home, I was very surprised to find that the body parts of chickens had changed. I should have received 4 legs, 4 wings, 4 thighs, and 4 breast. A Groupon deal was offered so I snagged it and we drove to this location, right across Chuck-E-Cheese on Fairway. Indoor dining was available. We were the only ones there for a while. The dining room was spacious and clean. We placed our orders at the counter... then shortly after we heard our name called to pick up our orders. Two orders of the 2-pc Breast & Wing Fire-Grilled Chicken Meal which included each two small classic sides and a small drink and they also gave tortillas. The citrus-marinated fire-grilled chicken was tender, juicy and delicious. I was impressed. I bought their chicken before and it was good. However, last night, I bought the chicken grilled via drive-thru and shared it with my Mom for dinner. To our disappointment, the griller tasted very bitter! I can't tell if the chicken was burnt or if it was the cheese. I hope it's just bad ingredient and nothing toxic. I am saving the partially eaten griller in the freezer S evidence just in case either one of us get sick. This is sad, this is even worse than my experience with the Pollo Loco over in Bradshaw. I love El Pollo Loco, but I have never received such bad service. The staff member, Reina, was so rude on the intercom while taking our order. She rushed us through our order and snapped at us while we asked questions about the menu. She was rude when she accepted our payment. We spoke to the manager about her behavior, and all we received were excuses for her poor behavior. She said she worked a 9 1/2 hour shift, and she was exhausted. Everyone has their issues going on, but when you work in customer service, your job is to treat customers with kindness and respect. El Pollo Loco do better. Maybe don't overwork your employees and provide staff and managers training in customer service. read more

I went through the drive-through for a simple burrito and two tacos and they had me pull forward and wait in front of the building for more than five minutes. This is supposed to be a fast food restaurant and I should just be able to stay in the drive-through. I think it's very inconvenient to have your customers go to the drive-through and tell them to pull forward and park outside. I should've just came in at that point. For a fast food place, this sure is yummy. I had the new Street Corn Tostada with their signature creamy cilantro dressing. This was the bomb! It was packed with flavor, filling, and refreshing. The staff, Jimmie, was friendly and helpful. While the food was good, they could work on cleaning off the tables and sweeping up the floor to clean it from crumbs and debris. I went into the store yesterday and was extremely impressed. The girl who was in the front taking orders was super friendly and doing a great job upselling, she answered all of our questions and suggested some of her favorite items on the menu. As soon as she finished taking our order she washed her hands and started making our orders right away. The other staff checked to make sure everything was good and it was overall just a great experience since nowadays good service is hard to find. I know times are tough, so usually I wouldn't write a negative review while we are struggling with COVID. But my experiences at THIS El Pollo Loco have been so bad for a very long time. Today we went to the El Pollo drivethru at 12:00. The store itself was locked shut so we had no choice. At 12:20 we placed our order. The woman who took the order kept getting it wrong, over and over, so finally we drove up to give the order in person. When we got to the window, we STILL had to repeat the order over and over: 1 chicken tostada salad, 1 large lemonade, 1 2-piece chicken meal with 2 thighs, beans, rice and corn tortillas. AND add salsa and green salsa, and salad dressing for the tostada salad. The total was $17.96. We handed the woman a $20 bill and she said she could only take exact change, she had no $1 bills. We fished around and found the $17 and change. THEN we heard her tell the cooks our order, several times. When the meal arrived (at 12:40 pm) we checked the bag. There were not 2 thighs, as ordered. There was a thigh and a leg. There was no salsa. She ran back to get us some salsa. There was no salad dressing for the tostada. She ran back to get us salad dressing. There was no hot salsa. She said "Oh... I guess I forgot that." She ran back to get us the hot salsa. This has been my experience every time at this store. 40+ minute wait, and still got the wrong order.
