Consistency and simplicity is all I expect from Raising Cane and they meet this expectation at almost every location. We ordered a 4 piece tender meal that came shy of $10. It was plenty to feed two of us. Saucy and subtly sweet slaw, tasty Texas toast, slightly crisp crinkle cut fries, and the star as usual, tender chicken tenders (fingers). How could you mess up such a simple menu of chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, and cold slaw?? How about not having BBQ sauce or sweet and sour!!!! This menu must of been designed by a picky eater 3 year old or a grown man that still eats like one. I should know because my 1st husband was one of those guys and that is one reason he is an ex husband because he refused to be a grown up adult eater. EBS'S wide food choices was one of his best qualities which was almost too many to list. One thing I know is chicken fingers since I have eaten too many and either served or seen my ex order millions more. To get him to try a new restaurant it had to have them to drag him there like a dead horse, but only if they had chicken strips or fingers. Cane's isn't even in the top 10 or maybe top 50. Luckily, I had some great Detroit Chicken Shack BBQ sauce to use. (Brought 4 bottles of it before I moved.) Fries were not crispy. Texas toast was good and having Coke products gave this place the 2 stars. If you have children who you are coddling too much with their eating ( come on parents, it is your job to be the bad guy, not their friend and help them grow up in food also so their bosses don't have to so they won't be an embrassment at business meals!!!) 11am and they served us 'last nights' food- $15.35 for 'day-old' food?!?! EVERYTHING was cold, the bread was toasted on BOTH sides- normally, when we eat at Canes, NO MATTER WHERE- it's USUALLY too hot to eat right away. This bread was stone cold, and the chicken was luke warm. Total let down for the franchise, and we've been to alot of different spots in a few different states, but THIS was THE WORST food we've ever had from ANY Canes locations... If I was the manager, I'd be ashamed to send out cold food at 11am... sickening then at 9:30am on 4/20/2021 the manager called me directly to argue what I had complained about- just goes to show, customer service is absolute garbage these days- our money is good enough to take, but when you complain about service, it's 'not valid' and let's be honest- who wants to eat re-fried chicken from the night before? He stated that "we waste more bread than I want to, but we do waste alot of bread"- which made ZERO sense for them to give us cold and old bread, old bread is chewy, and that is what they served us. Canes chicken fingers are very unique and very tasty. I've had them in multiple locations and this location is very good. They are pretty quick as well. Mobile ordering worked very well and curbside pick up was quick. You don't have to call or anything you just pull up and they look for your car and hand you your food. read more

Ok. For the most part I like Cane's. This review won't keep me from going again but I do need to point this out. It seems as if the chicken fingers are getting smaller & are almost not worth the money. The last few times I've been to Canes (this location & another Columbus location) I have encountered this. So it's not just this location. Canes needs to get their s#it figured out because the price customers are paying for the small fingers is pretty screwy. Also, this location needs to follow other fast food restaurants "$50's & $100's not accepted" policy. This trip to Raising Cane's was not as good as normal / Decide to try this raising canes, and even though the line move kind of fast, and the chicken was good, the one thing that made me mad was their french fries. They were not warm, no salt, and they tasted like the fries I would get at school which is not good. I know now that this was not on the best side of Columbus, but you guys can do a little better when it comes to the fries. Oh yeah another thing - Why the heck did they not give me my bread replacement from a drink / In other words, why didn't they replaced my drink with bread because I wanted two pieces of bread and instead I was told that I could only get just the drink with the three-piece combo. I ordered a catering order for a Saturday afternoon. Scheduling the order was very easy. When we picked up the order we realized the sauces that came with the order were not in the bag. This Raising Cane's location was underwhelming to me. The service was sub-par at the front counter, and the food took forever to get out. Once I got it, there was a cold stale chicken finger mixed in with my fresh ones. Still, it is Raising Cane's and the food tasted fine other than the one bad finger. Nice addition to Lincoln Village area overall. The store is well designed with an interesting decor that is lively, urban, and fun. The overall ambiance is a bit loud, but I guess that could be part of the fun. Placing my order at the counter was an experience- since the kid taking my order was obnoxious, distracted, and trying his best to be a comic who wouldn't shut up. The food was good and arrived quickly to my table. The chicken fingers were fresh and had good flavor. The crinkle cut fries were okay. But the texas toast/ garlic bread slice--- I just don't get the appeal. The Canes sauce is interesting, but I can't imagine myself craving it or returning just because of it. Not my favorite place to indulge in fried, fast food. But the chain has many fans and adds an interesting option to westside Columbus. Love cane's, however, this location, as someone else pointed out, must be going through some growing pains with customer service. I eat cane's relatively often and this location has had consistently subpar customer service. Tonight, I ordered and paid for a box combo and was given a three finger, which is cheaper. Didn't discover it until I got home and had to drive all the way back, because I wanted my extra finger and cole slaw, dammit. When I went in and explained, I didn't even get an apology. I get that working at a fast food joint probably isn't your ideal job, but even a fake, scowl faced apology would've sufficed. So overall. Good food. My first and last visit to this establishment; my friend and I made a drive through order, however when we reached the food reception window, the employee was was snarky regarding condiments requested at the time of the order (they were NOT in the bag), she went back and forth about the situation, instead of just including the items that we requested and we're paying for..commenting about how long the line was. The length of the line was immaterial when I had an incomplete order that I paid for. I was not about to drive off... This employee should not be serving customers at the drive through window. It's not "give me what you want to", but give me what I am requesting and paying for. This experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth..this was definitely not a good experience...I stopped there because I was hungry and just wanted what I asked for and paid for. This is more towards the day crew. As someone who works in fastfood it shouldn't be difficult to take simple orders but as canes it was. They told us to hold on then a different person came on the speaker rudely and managed to get a super simple order wrong. I only wanted to change the coleslaw as it makes me sick and I wanted extra sauce. That was never a problem before. When I went to pay my card didn't go through and there was never anything done to make it work which I know they can do. They did not have a line when we were at the speaker. When we were done my order was not what I asked for and they had a huge line. This is how day shift runs maybe canes should change that. Night shift never had this problem read more

The food was good as it usually is at all of the Cane's, but the staff were very friendly, even during multiple rushes during the time I was in the building. If ever there was a candidate for a "Canestervention" it is my husband. At least once a month I find myself begging, "Please, no more chicken! I can't!" That said, this location (which is one of two closest to us) has consistently fast and friendly service. They are also one of the few places in the area that does a good iced tea (unsweetened) and they have crushed ice (it's the little things). I visited this restaurant Monday evening. I went thru the drive thru. Once I got to the first window to pay our order was already messed up. I paid and moved to the next window where the female basically was throwing our drinks at me. I wasn't offered a drink carrier. She was such in a hurry. She was not professional at all. I asked for ketchup and salt and she only put a few ketchup packets in the bag. She pushed my food out of the window and closed it so I wasn't able to ask for anything else. I decided to check the food and part of the order was missing. I went back into the restaurant and one of the workers who wasn't helping me was giving me an attitude because I was asking for the missing sandwich. Ok. I like Cane's chicken and Texas toast and the lemonade is good, but I'm getting tired of paying for extra sauces at the drive-thru and finding none when I get my food home! This happens about a third of the time. I wouldn't mind so much if the sauces were free, but IMO, they're "premium" priced. And this time the cole slaw had a slightly chemical taste. And add to that, that there are no phone numbers listed for the west Broad Street location ( on the web, or their receipts or charge slips) when other Cane's locations have a number on their websites and it all adds up to one pissed-off guy! My last two encounters with this location have been frustrating. About a week ago I ordered a quarter gate, $28.99, then realized I only saved .03 cents/chicken strip over ordering ala carte. I was even more shocked to see two families walk in after me and get served before my order was ready. When I asked an employee, who appeared to at least be a lead staffer, how this was possible, I was told my order was made "fresh" in a very cavalier manner. Did this imply that when not ordering a "Tail Gate" option, that the food was sitting around under a heat lamp? First time not going through the drive thru, bad first impression. On 2/26/15, I instructed my spouse to order 15 chicken strips ala carte and 5 pieces of toast(feeding five). She was disappointed to learn that Cane sauce is an additional expense, when ordering ala Carte. There are a lot of restaurants competing for my discretionary income and based on the last two experiences I have had with the Old Village Rd, Columbus OH location, I think I will pass. read more
