On my road trip back to Phoenix, I was ready for dinner. While driving down the highway, I saw a sign for Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. Does anyone actually call it that lol? Cane's, that's better. What was a little annoying is that Cane's had a sign on the highway but the fast food joint isn't right off the highway. It's a good two or three miles away. Should be illegal. But I'll forgive them because I had a great meal. Ambiance (N/A): Located on the University of Arizona's campus, I used the drive through. So I can't touch on the experience inside, but I would imagine it's similar to other Cane's locations nationwide. Service (4.5/5): This is where I was most impressed. They pulled one straight from Chick-fil-a's notebook. The line at the drive through was relatively long so they had two people outside on foot taking orders and payment. Which meant that the line moved quicker. Props to this Cane's location. Nobody likes waiting in line for too long. Drinks (4/5): Anywhere that has sweet tea and lemonade (that's not Minute Maid) on the menu, is a winner in my book. This time, I went with a sweet tea as part of my combo. Food (4/5): I went with the Box combo which comes with four chicken fingers, crinkly-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and Cane's sauce. Like Chick-fil-a, Cane's menu is simple. But what they do, they do well. The chicken is delicious. Cane's sauce is addicting. The buttered Texas toast is too. The fries could be better but they're solid. Overall, they're the second best fast food joint in the country behind Chick-fil-a. And this location is doing a great job. It was worth the hike. read more

She also went with three chicken finger basket with fries/drink for $9.99. Basket came with (3) fingers, crinkle fries, toast and drink. We went with sweet tea (pretty good), free refills. Overall the food was good, served hot/fresh. Sauce was pretty good, asked for extra (told it cost) skipped. Lunch for $9.99 is not bad, especially nowadays. Dining area Is clean & bright with plenty of seating. Murals & history of Canes is on the walls. Ummm...why didn't anyone tell me that these are the juiciest chicken fingers on the planet? Coming from the East Coast, this is our first time trying Raising Cane here in Tucson. We got the 4 Chicken Strip Meal. I did not expect the white chicken meat to be so tender, juicy AF, and finger licking good. The crispy and crunchy batter is perfect. Dip it in that pinkish-orange sauce (tastes like Russian Dressing/Thousand Island) and I seriously didn't know what to do with myself. It's almost illegal for it to taste this frickin good. The crinkle fries and cold slaw did not disappoint. Didn't care for the Texas toast but I tried it with the chicken and it is like eating a chicken sandwich. So YUM! Was gifted a gift card to here. So first time, I order a chicken sandwich. They don't have a spicy chicken sandwich, just a basic. They also do not have ranch or bbq sauce. Interesting. So I get home and open it, it's chicken tenders and a piece of bread. Quite disappointed, where's my sandwich? Anyways, I dig in. And I have to say, the tenders were suuuper good. I really like their chicken. A lot. Their sauce, mmmmmmm. The fries are really good. The lemonade is the best of any chain or any restaurant for that matter. Cole slaw is OK. Texas toast is yummy. I actually eat it. Everywhere else I don't. Parking here is challenging. On certain nights they can be slammed. I think they have worked out the kinks from newly opening. I've eaten at all three locations and they are all good. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. The food was surprisingly not decent. I grabbed a kids meal because I wanted a small chicken strips and fries. The chicken was so greasy that it soaked through a handful of napkins. The breading had fallen off. It was almost as if they attempted to fry in grease that wasn't hot enough. It was truly gross. The fries were decent and that's where the 3 stars come in. Pretty hip decor when you walk into this location. My first time visiting this restaurant chain so I was pretty excited to see how it is ahead of time on one being built closer to home in California. I ordered the three chicken finger meal which came with fries and slaw. The chicken and fries were really really good along with their special dipping sauce. But the slaw I was not A fan of. Just seemed very bland to me but I could say that I see myself visiting a raising Cane's location again just based off of this experience and they're willing to work with the associates here. My minus one star rating for this particular location is the restroom. There were no seat covers provided nor was there a spot for seat covers to be post it too on the wall. And when you go to wash your hands the soap machine dispenser is completely broken as there were pieces on the counter. So I feel that the restroom should be a key point as well when it comes to an all-around visit. read more

I try to stop by here when I'm in town scouting talent on the UofA campus for my back room casting series so I'd say I've been here 30-45 times. Thus you're seeing my average star score. Chicken is ok. It's better than the other chicken offering in the Dirty T, but that's not saying much because the other options are the Popeyes down the street run by brain dead heroin junkies that cater to heroin junkies and serve rubber chicken. Anyway, bathrooms are generally dirty due to the amount of Mexican showers the homeless take in the sink. It's porcelain usually black from residue of drugs on hand and the toilets generally caked in piss. The food is ok. 5/10 I'll get the rubber chicken I gate and that's obviously from ordering and waiting 200 hours in the drive thru because they're system is awful. They also don't have ranch. It's the most over rated place to get food since Krispy Kreme. Workers are nice but always stoned. read more

Raising Cane's serves plump chicken strips with a side of big Texas toast. The food overall is average/slightly above average. Your portions are bigger than you'd expect and the price is fair. Can't really complain about it, as you get exactly what you ordered. Although there isn't much for variety with the menu for Raising Cane's, it serves as a new alternative to late-night meals for anyone who isn't in the mood for tacos. New location is jumping on the Wednesday night at 8:00 pm. Juicy chicken fingers deep fat fried and good crinkle cut fries. I substituted cole slaw for the Texas toast and it was tasty. This a good drive through and there seemed to be eight or more vehicles in line most of the time. Parking is another story. There are only about 15 parking spaces on the property which includes two handicapped slots. If pull in and can't find a parking spot, it is difficult to get out because there is only one way in and out plus the narrow drive way is half taken up by the drive through line. Haven't tried Raising Cane's in several years and then I only tried in once. Stop in for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Chicken was very moist and flavorful, not greasy at all. Batter was light and crisp and the sauce was awesome. Fries could be a little more cooked, but then I like them medium well done, can you tell I eat at In n Out. Staff was friendly and they give a military first responder discount which is always nice and appreciated. Now the comparison. I think the chicken is more moist than Popeye's but the spicy receipt is better. Cane's batter and coating wins, but Popeyes Cajun fries win hands down. So who wins? They only often one measly mediocre fry size, but you can get up to 50 chicken-finger boxes... Honestly quite disappointed. I hadn't been here in over a year so I pulled up to the lady asking her what the options were. And she just gave me a blank stare.
