Lines that don't move with staff acting like they could care less. I was a long time shopper here but no longer. Between receiving rotten chicken & expired yogurt on 2 different shopping trips, the outside of the store is filthy. Their garbage disposal area is flocked with birds picking at the open disposal bins. Garbage is piled in shopping carts. After filing a written complaint @ kroger.com, instead of receiving a written response, they sent me a customer satisfaction survey. This used to be my "go-to" store. Considering all the health issues we are currently dealing with, the least I need is taking a chance with this location. read more

We went here with a long shopping list for a Father's Day family feast. First up was yellow onions. The entire pile was rotting, with liquid leaking from the onions. Flies were buzzing around. We went to look at sweet onions or red onions on separate tables as an alternative, but those were the same! Heck no, we were out of there. No way we're going to get meat or vegetables from a place that shows such obvious neglect of their fresh food! We did pick up one canned item and one bag of frozen Ore Ida steak fries that are always hard to find (indeed, there was only one left). I told the cashier about the rotting onions, and at least she didn't call me a liar in front of my daughter like at the Sherman Way location! We went over to Pavilions on Platt to get our meat and produce and had a delicious Family Feast. read more

First of all I've been a customer here for many years, and my family spends thousands of dollars every month at Ralph's. But I have to say some of the staff are very rude and not nice at all, and the security guard in evenings is extremely hostile and he's actually had altercations with many customers bc he thinks he can be rude to customers and won't get in trouble bc he works for 3rs party company or something. By the way their store hours are listed that they close at 1am every night 7 days a week and sometimes I get off work late so on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS have I arrived before 12:45 and their doors are locked and they do not let customers in the door. Figure that one out? Anyway if you do have an issue with the doors being locked before they are supposed contact the corporate office because the manager is impossible to get ahold of and clearly doesn't care about their customers either! They really need to get their stuff together, very poor customer service and the manager and several employees have a bad attitude problem. If I could leave 0 stars I would that's how upsetting my experience has been with this Ralph's market. read more

This has turned into my go to grocery store, been finding myself frequently visiting here... a lot. I enjoy the manager specials in the meat department not always available but when something is, its a good catch for a same day or next say meal. Products at this store are for whatever reason MUCH cheaper than the competing Vons and other local nearby stores. It's appearance is, "they try to keep up" ... the neighborhood is at fault for this one, lots of inconsiderate people and homeless people. For the most part I think they do the best they can. Deli meat is always fresh, salads are always good... older latina woman, super nice - she deserves a raise! The reason I left a 3 stars is because when they have their busy or peak hours, it seems they are reluctant to open up lanes.... shit takes forever at this store sometimes. read more

This Ralphs location, along with the other stores on the south side of the Fallbrook center, along with Burlington and Walmart, have become a Mecca for panhandlers, shoplifters, and mentally unstable people. I won't shop at this Ralphs again. The self checkout this evening was akin to being in line to get out of a mental institution, complete with a man blatantly cutting in line and a woman standing directly behind me as I attempted to use the PIN pad. The employee in charge of the area had her hands full with the people who weren't able to use the self checkout kiosks without considerable assistance, so those of us in line who were self-sufficient and considerate were on our own. I'll be glad to take the time to visit the Calabasas location from now on. read more

I was shopping here at 11 pm. I politely asked for the code to the restroom. The cashier said, "After 8pm, we don't have a restroom." This tells me that customers aren't that important. I can't imagine 1 good reason for this arbitrary rule. read more

I got 2 Ralph's in my area. The one on Sherman Way is closer to me & that store is usually out of stock on a lot of items I normally buy as of late. Plus the Sherman Way location doesn't have the greatest crowds visiting there either imo. So, I have made this Victory Blvd location my go to Ralphs now instead. Usually less crowded & they have more items in stock. Plus they seem to keep enough registers open along with the self checkouts if you want them. The store on Sherman way has their heads up their A$$3$ in regards to all that. I'd rather just drive the extra 2 miles to this Ralph's than bother with the one closest to me on Sherman Way. This store has it much more together in all ways. read more

2nd review...I should have listened to my own advice. This place is an absolute joke. We have been calling the Pharmacy for 2 days now and no-one bothers to answer the phone. We called the store to talk to a manager and guess what after 30 minutes no-one answered their phone either. I'm sure if I actually reached so-one to complain they would somehow blame it on Covid. Not that it matter to their bottom line, but I'm finished shipping there and will move my medications to CVS. read more

Review is for Pharmacy (not store): Pharmacy never answers phones, refills Rx's late, often a long line of people picking up who dont have Rx's ready. They need to hire more people and optimize the entire Pharmacy. They ignore anything sent via the Kroger/Ralphs site. Used to get Rx's from Costco which aside from annoying parking/walking, was a wonderful experience - Ralphs is the complete opposite. I witnessed an elderly woman (regular customer it seems) just chit-chatting with the Pharmacist for 10 minutes when there were 8 people in line. Used to shop at Ralph's each week. Prices go up regularly and the reason they give is "we live in California". I rarely leave any reviews but if Ralph's is going to charge ever increasing prices the food should be fresh and edible at least. Several weeks ago 2 bags of pre packaged cherries were purchased. Next day went to serve and emptied in a bowl to wash/serve. Cherries were found to be soft and wet with some mold. Both bags were discarded. Now meat was purchased. Refrigerator had a foul odor when opened in am today. Went to open and cook the pork and found the odor coming from the package. Called the store and was told had to save and bring the meat back for refund or exchange. Unable to do so today and unwilling to leave spoiled meat in the fridge it was discarded in trash bin. This Ralph's is the only one in the area not limiting the number of people in the store. !!! The manager makes a point to not be available through the store telephone auto attendant. Their list of issues is too long to write... Although it just a few blocks from where I live and has been my regular store for over 20 years, I just have to break the habit and drive somewhere else. I always head to the gym around here, and never realized how late this ralphs stayed open, 1am. I popped in to grab a few things and Scott helped me check out, him and the clerk helping bag groceries were friendly. Someone also thanked me and told me have a good night before I left. While I was checking out in self check out, a worker approached me trying to assist me and said, "Do you have WIC or anything?". That is extremely discriminatory and RUDE. Dont special order anything from their bakery!! Placed an order for 7 dozen cupcakes for a 106th birthday party. The girl wrote the specifics on a scrap piece of paper and didnt give me a copy. Red flag, but I thought I'm being too picky. I go to pick up the order and a different girl gives me 1 dozen cupcakes. I asked for the rest of them and she has no idea what I'm taking about. She then refers to the scrap piece of paper and tries to tell me that the 7 is a one when it clearly looks like a 7. She said she just got the paper with no verbal instructions on my order. They just re-modeled this location and the only improvement is a Starbucks. Crowded isles and still no carts for kids (Calabasas location has carts for kids, making a family trip more tolerable). The worst part about this location is they still lock the most convenient door to enter the store around 7 or 8pm because "too many people steal stuff." That's what they told me, to stop thieves, seriously. They lock the door closest to the majority of their parking spots and only open the one door on the east side so you have to walk around the front of the store to get in. Sure, there are a handful of spots right there, but the majority of the parking spots require walking past a locked front door to get to. (And for thieves, how safe do you feel now???). Top that off with seeing a "Co-Manager" enjoying a smoking break 20 feet from the front door so you have to pass her cloud of smoke to get in, this location gets 1 star. Nice and large Ralph's, less crowded than Topanga and much nicer than Sherman way. Has ample variety of all the necessities but less of the higher end items found in Topanga. They usually provide good customer service with the occasional lack of the self checkout assistant. Overall on par with what a neighborhood grocery store should be. read more

As our local Ralph's I love how the employees are so friendly and accommodating. Someone is always available to let you know where an item is if you can't find it!! While I lived in Woodland Hills, this was my go-to Ralph's, as their prices seemed to have gotten better than Albertson's over the last few years. The parking at this location though, is tricky and even downright frightening if you show up in the late afternoon when there's a lot of people entering and exiting the lot. I rarely even attempt to park right in front of the store as there usually isn't a spot or the cars attempting to enter/exit onto Victory have created such a jam that it's futile. Not to mention the people that are illegally turning left onto Victory from the lot even though there's CLEAR signage posted...drives me nuts!! I tend to park over by the little recycling setup just to avoid the traffic mess. That recycling place (and the piles of garbage that sit alongside the little structure) needs a review of its own. The inside of the store is pretty neat, I don't usually have trouble finding things though the layout is different form the one I normally frequent on Sherman Way/Shoup, which can be a bit confusing. The lines can get long though, but they do have self-checkout which helps if you've only for a couple items. One thing that bugged me is their app where you can upload coupons to your Ralph's rewards card. I had a $0.50 off coupon for an item uploaded on my Rewards card and also had a actual physical coupon for $1.00 that same item. The cashier tells me I can't use both. Fine, I can understand that. So I ask if I could use the physical coupon I'd brought in because it was worth more and he says the one on my Rewards card already went through and can't be changed. I cry foul. If it can be done, I'm sure it can be undone. I'm not complaining about missing out on $0.50, I just feel like there's no concept of customer satisfaction here. It's unkempt, the produce is gross (I actually saw mold on some potatoes), some of the managers/supervisors are on the ghetto side (yelling, "I need a cigarette" across the store to each other), and the baskets are totally gross. Came here to pick up groceries because I was in the area. The store had no accessible carts to shop with. I asked a bagger to help me find a cart and he told me to go out to the parking lot to get one. He said that Ralph's has cut everyone's hours and they don't have time to send someone out for carts. I have been a long time customer of Ralph's. They have all of my needs in stock at reasonable prices. Recently I moved to the Woodland Hills area and i immediately turned to Ralph's to fill my refrigerator to feed my family. The closest location was the one in West Hills located on Victory Blvd. The Ralph's on Victory is clean, has a pleasant atmosphere and the employees were very friendly. Everything that was on my shopping list was in stock. When I arrived home however , I was very disappointed. The twelve pack of Canada Dry ginger ale only had two cans of ginger ale in it. The rest was a mixture of Sprite and Fanta. These soft drinks are not made by the same company so it is very bazaar that they would have been packaged together. Random mistake perhaps but my disappointment did not end there. Next I went to enjoy some all natural peanut butter and it was hard as a rock. When I inspected the expiration date it was dated June 2018. It is currently almost Halloween . Needless to say , I am not returning. read more

Stopped in to do my grocery shopping here today, after Burlington coat factory. Its a nice Ralph's as I have been to many. Customer service is nice, and they have a good selection of everything. I found some peanut butter cookie Folgers coffee here. I cannot wait to try it. The parking lot is busy, so be prepared for crazy drivers, just trying to snag a spot before you do. Received a fake $20 from this Ralph's. I am a healthcare worker and I came to Ralph's on Thursday to get mushrooms for my husband to make some mushroom chicken. I forgot my debit card, so I gave the cashier a $100 bill. He gave me change, and I put the change in my bag. I never use cash... I always use Apple Pay or my debit card, so in my reusable grocery bag, I only had my Ralph's receipt and change left over and left it on my chair at home. When I went to work, I took this bag. I went to another Ralph's and was about to pay, but discovered a fake $20. I had to wait till Monday to address the issue, because my work hours conflicted with the store hours. When I came to the Manager with my concern, he just dismissed the issue stating that nothing could be done and that it could not have happened in his store. I spoke with Juan and the manager Kyle... they treated me like I just wanted to scam them out of $20, but honestly, for me it's not worth the embarrassment. This is my local Ralph's that is literally connected to the same block I live on, I just wanted them to look into the matter and prevent future fraud incidents. Needless to say I was disappointed and upset. Rather than validating this real issue of fraud, they just dismissed my concerns and refused to accept some responsibility in the matter.
