Came here last night for some quick run for beer and finger foods. This was about 12:00am and was impress how quick their customer service and cashier was. This store was super clean and organize so pretty. This was my first time visiting this particular store. I love Ralph's super markets! But, this store was such a wonderful experience! I was helped thru out my store experience by a cashier named IRMA AVILA. She was so cute, nice and had a lot of energy. She was so talkative -- ask how our night was. I'm giving 2 stars because I feel bad giving them 1. Every business is gonna have there bad days, but this day there there deli department was terrible. I ordered a wrap sandwich. Took the guy over 20 mins to make it and did not look appetizing at all. There where flys on the veggies so of course I didn't add anything on the sandwich. I almost didn't want to make the purchase. This is the "ghetto Ralphs".... I much prefer the one on Topanga... because this one attracts a lot of creeps... I am not sure why... Also, the store just doesn't carry as many items as some of the other Ralphs...and I am not sure why. Anyway, there are always people fighting here... or just weird, creepy people who make me feel really uncomfortable and really unsafe. The last time I went here, there was some creepy guy following me around... the entire store and staring at me the whole time. That freaked me out since I was alone and I haven't been back since.... One plus, there's a Wells Fargo in this Ralphs and it's open much later than a usual Wells Fargo. Also, they added a partition in the parking lot so you can no longer get to the parking lot from the west side like you used to... you have to go all the way around if you're already in the parking lot. read more

This review is for the pharmacist by the name of Anait Martirosian .. she's the head pharmacist there and always give me a hard time about filling my pain medication. I have family members and friends that go there and get their pain medication filled and never get a problem from her. I absolutely know it's because of my appearance and she totally discriminates against me for that reason. I've been going to this pharmacy for almost a year now in the beginning is when she gave me the most problems once I thought we got everything straightened and she was on a better path as far as her attitude was concerned and the way she was treating me months later here she is doing the same thing including trying to call my doctor to tell him to change up my medication intake. I have a torn rotator cuff that needs surgery on top of it all I'm starting to develop arthritis so my shoulder is in a lot of pain most of the time and she doesn't seem to give a damn. I'm assuming she thinks I'm just some pills chaser that wants to get high when I actually have a legit issues. I'm taking this to the news stations I'm also going to talk to corporate and get in contact with the pharmaceutical board and make a complaint until something is done about her. It's not enough words or room on this review for me to explain everything she has done to me that I let it slide so I just wanted to make this kind of brief. I should've done this a long time i'll go but I thought we were on better terms but she hasn't changed. Don't even try to do curbside pick up, they don't tell you that the products that you have actually already paid for 2 days ago will not be ready at the time that they specify that it would be ready for you to pick up. Yesterday I was in dire need of a white graduation cake ! Norma in the bakery was fantastic because she gave me personal attention. She gave me additional grad toppers to add flair to the cake. This Ralph's just got a make-over. They updated the aisles, now wider. Updated the deli and bakery and added a new Starbucks. They basically redid the store which was in dire need. I like the new look and even the carts are new. I only wish they had been able to redo the entrance doors to widen those as well. One small thing- they stopped carrying my favorite hummus! I generally get good service here. The store does get crowded on weekend afternoons so I try to shop early on Saturday morning. read more

On 12/24/2018 at approximately 11 am I was at Ralph's grocerie store on 22915 Victory Blvd, West Hills, CA 91307. I was attempting to purchase Visa gift cards (4 X$100; 3X$25). I do not live in the area but was visiting a friend. I was told that I had to use cash, which I never had to use before. I was using my DEBIT card in which I would have to enter my password (My ID matched my DEBIT card). . I did not challenge the cashier as I did not want to make a scene but this was very embarrassing. I am a 58 y/o African American male and I sincerely hoped this was a policy change (I don't believe it is, as I have stated, I have made similar transactions like this before); and if so, the policy should've been posted. PS - Visa website does not have rules on how a gift card can be purchased (per their website)...The gift cards can be purchased using any Visa or other credit/debit card. read more

I went to Ralph's to get my anxiety/seizure and panic attack medication has I always had within the past 8 months! Now keep in mind my doctor who prescribed this medication DOES NOT GIVE YOU A WRITTEN PRESCRIPTION, with that in mind I went today to fill my script by having the pharmacy call my doctors office and get a approval. First the day of refill was on point no issue there till after she had me sitting almost 45 minutes calls me to the drop off window with a print out of my past medication pick ups. I'm confused at this point since I've been picking up my script 9 out of 10 from HERSELF for 8 months and if I don't get this med with in 24-72 hours I'll be going into a granular seizure which already happened to me once since my med was late again because of this same pharmacy. But I believe in giving second chances even though I could've had my script filled at let say million other pharmacies. Well let's get back to the note: she states and I quote " I pulled yourself medication history" I'm like ok go on "she claimed back in March" now keep in mind it is late October, I filled the same medication twice in ONE DAY at two pharmacies. One pharmacy Ralph's which I am discussed by the staff there and second Walgreens which she didn't know which Walgreens which again I found odd! The problem with that is my doctors office never gives out scripts with and always no refills so it requires authorization from my doctor every month either through fax but 99% through a phone call. She could not explain to me how my doctors office who know me even more than just a patient, so my name is not just another customer, and they would NEVER FILL TWO PRESCRIPTIONS OF THE SAME MEDICATION TO TWO DIFFERENT PHARMACIES!!!! They would've told me "armin we called Ralph's and you already got your prescription since it shows on their computer and can be confirmed with a quick phone call! But this PERSIAN 5'2 or give it take a inch or two, honestly not that attractive denied to fill my script!!!! I told her YOU, NO ONE ELSE, has been filling this prescription without issues from March until now which is a issue that I picked up twice on a same day on March of this year! I HAD TO TELL HER, which pharmacy I was going to before Ralph's since literally it's minutes away from my home and they're rarely that busy but very slow, and I'd been mistreated, disrespected on several occasions which I laugh it off with a comment that it's ok I'm not taking it to the heart. However, messing with my meds are life threatening and for 3 days after my first seizure I had trouble standing up my mouth was bloody from biting cutting my tongue on both sides and was in that state for 2min and 30 seconds according to my wife. They said I could've lost my life. What really ticked me off is that I just called back to ask for her name and every time she or her female Hispanic tech hanged up the phone on me. Very unprofessional. There must be a reason why she is hiding her name and on my last bottle it does not state her name either which I found weird. Anyhow be careful when you visit this pharmacy at west hills Ralph's next to Home Depot, Burlington, Walmart and major cross streets are fallbrook and victory. Look for a short IRANIAN pharmacist who has a deep accent and wears a lot of that black stuff that goes around the eye lashes, almost makes her look like a raccoon with the black bags under her line. This is just so you can identify her. Her characteristics; very very rude, you say hi how are you, she replies with date of birth?, second she throws your med on the counter instead of handing it to you, second she raised her voice at me on several occasion. Finally today was a breaking point and I got my script filled at a different pharmacy. Sorry for the long essay lol. I write, so once I start writing it's hard to explain everything and paint a picture that might help others. Even if it's one individual, I've reached my goal. Next step finding her name and reporting her to the board of pharmacy. That's what they're there for. Good luck and whatever you do stay from Ralph's pharmacy in particular the one in west hills CA. Btw I told her I will call my doctor to sort it out and she still said I'm not going to fill your script. What a wonderful and delightful Lady ( Christian S. ) helped me and with a smile. When I got back to the office with fresh deli made sandwiches my husband was in heaven. The deli at this Ralph's is great. If they are really busy, there may be a wait, but it is worth it. They take their time to make sure that you get what you need. The food is fresh and they slice the meats and cheese to whatever size thickness I request. Tonight Ronald made a turkey wrap for me. It was delicious! He was friendly and did a great job! read more

I stopped in to pick up a last minute item on the way home. The selection and prices were fine. However, the west side of parking lot is dark, so walking across the parking lot can be a bit dangerous when walking to the store (pedestrians may not be visible at all), also, the entrance is not well lit. Me and my sis drove 30 min to over here. We drove here for the fresh fish that they fry. Not to many Ralph's have a frier. We came and ores salmon and some other fish that had bones in it and we didn't know. But I'll def come back to get their fish. We also got snacks and ice cream. read more

OK. I use to LOVE this store. Been coming here every Monday for years and spend between $150 to $200 each week. They use to be very concerned about opening extra registers when there would be more then 3 customers in each lane. Now ....... they don't even look. They have 3 registers open for 15 items or less but only 2 registers open those who have more than 15 items. Us folks who buy a lot, we have to wait and wait while those other cashiers (and baggers!) have one customer at the most. So if you buy less than 15 items you'll probably be happy. But if you have more than 15 items, expect to wait and wait. Sure wish they'd go back to helping out us folks that have full baskets of groceries! It's almost like we're being punished! Very weird. Such a shame. Cuz I really like most of the people that work here! They're all super nice and helpful. Especially the folks in the meat department (Stone and the older lady). They're the best. Her tone was anything but friendly and she was even yelling at her coworker in a very unprofessional manner. Everything about this experience was appalling. This review is based on my last few visits to this Ralph's. Now let me start by saying i grew up going to this market and i am only 20 years old, i usually love this place but within the past few months the customer service has taken a nose dive. The past two times I've asked an employee where to locate something, they pull out a list and even then don't know where it is But my BIGGEST annoyance is how rushed i feel checking out. hence why i mentioned my age. Imagine me a twenty year old person feeling rushed. The cashiers are no longer friendly like they used to be a few years back, it seems like corporate came in and told them they had to get a certain amount of people through their line or something, i don't get it! i literally have to struggle to get my purse out and pay and then the next person is started and my bags are all crammed up and I'm like OKAY OKAY ILL GO! S**T. seriously?! if i was an older woman i cant even imagine how id feel, its SO RUDE Not to mention its like they don't even train people how to properly bag your items any more, they're in such a rush that when you get home your bread is smooshed and your bananas are at the bottom of the cleaning item bag! Normally I don't like to write negative comments on Yelp but sometimes I feel I need to vent and share my experience/opinion. This is a day after; I needed time to think about what happened; nothing serious just felt uncomfortable. So I just finish working out at the local gym and needed something from Ralph's; I have my backpack on ; not a huge bag too, just a little day pack I usually carry my charger, phone, keys, etc. I was approached by the security guard and he kindly said, " sorry, no backpacks in the store". I was upset but willing to comply; I asked where could I leave my bag; he really had no answer, I guess he wanted me to take it back to my car of which I didn't have; so he mentioned about leaving by the front desk of (which no one was at) or tuck it away by a little nook on the side of the in-store Starbucks. I was in a hurry and upset but I left it anyways and went to get my stuff; of which I felt I was being followed throughout the store. As I was walking I saw two people with backpacks and one guy with a large computer bag on his back. And since I was noticing that, I also saw women with giant purses and asked myself, "wouldn't that be same too?" To give the store the benefit of the doubt; maybe they have a problem with theft and maybe the didn't see the other people with backpacks walk in; but if your going to ask someone to leave their bag, at least provide a secure area for them. Some people don't have the accessibility of a car and/or are on the bus or ride a motorcycle; which I do have a motorcycle . Also, they have a sign in the parking lot that says don't leave your valuables in the vehicle; so? I may look a little scruffy; and also, since I came out of the gym I was a little shaggy wearing my gym clothes, and also my beard is pretty grown out too. The whole night I was thinking if they labeled me as a thief. The whole experience just made me feel very uncomfortable; I have never been asked at any store that I've walked into to take my backpack off. I have nothing against Ralph's; but, I am never coming back to this location again. read more

The staff here was rude and unfriendly. The products are great for the most part, with a wide variety. I wanted to give Ralphs another try, but I'm sticking with Trader Joe's after this experience. The co-manager wasn't helpful and was unwelcoming so that tells you a little bit about the staff. If that's how the co-manager treats a customer, then how is that a good example to the rest of the staff? Bottomline: If you're in a hurry and have nowhere else to go, then come here.
