Ive been waiting to try this Ramen since they were at their previous location. No matter how many times I've set alarms to get a reservation ( rsvps open 1st and 15th of the month) I can never snag one. A friend told me that Ra now offers a breakfast bao and broth with a window pick up option. Order ahead on the website. I decided to give it a go cause it was the only chance I could get to try anything . I got Soyu Broth ( they also have vegetarian option) and a Lox Bao I arrived way before my pickup time, but just in time to see 3 people who had secured a table reservation walking in. I was never more envious of strangers haha. Anyway I waited across the street at the park till it was close tp my pickup time. There are only 6 seats inside and the dinning experience is quite intimate and personal so I didn't dare go to the window to cause any disruptions. About 10 mins before my pickup time I went to the window and waa shorty joined by another pickup customer. Rasheeda ( the owner) popped her head out with the warmest smile and gave us our goodies. I went back to the park and although it waa starting to drizzle I waa determined not to wait till I got home. I wanted to enjoy it at it's freshest state . Man did that broth hit the spot , it was very hot ( we'd been made aware of the temp when it was handed to us) . The depth of flavor was immaculate, savory and sumptuous. I instantly regretted not ordering 4 cups. Noted for next time with a thermos on board. The bao was soft and fluffy and I ate it 2 bites. I sat in the drizzle like a crack head who just fixed a fein. For and instance I thought of the strangers who I had seen walking in, still slightly jealous but I was truly satisfied by what I had accomplished. I hears there may soon be Ramen cups available for pickup ,till then I'll keep setting my alarms for full rsvp. Btw Pickup Window Service is available Wednesday to Sunday 9am to 3pm. I've been wanting to try for a while and as you can see from the picture only got the to go noodles in a cup. Love that they do this so people can try. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked and the ratio to broth was way off. I got three sips of broth max, and it was hard to sip bc there was so little. I know the signature is the salt and pepper but it overpowered the broth and the bacon, egg and scallions (which was delicious by the way). Next time looking forward to trying the bao buns and also still hoping to sit inside to get the full experience. I really wanted to love this place with all the hype it has been getting from social media, but it was really average and honestly quite salty. Also, what makes this place so hard to get a reservation is because there's only 4 seats. Steak & Eggs: 3.5/5; flavorful and the steak is soft, but it definitely makes the broth saltier. I definitely prefer the ramen at Tonchin or Kin Ramen. Bacon & Eggs: 2/5; extremely salty, the bacon was very tough/chewy and not at all soft. Chef Ra was very sweet though to walk us through it. Overall, the place isn't bad at all. It's just not worth jumping through hoops to get a reservation. There are tons of better ramen places in the city. read more

Wow - Ramen by Ra was phenomenal!!! As soon as you walk in it is so intimate with only 4 seats at the bar. The smell of broth fills the space. The lox breakfast bao was soft, yet crunchy and savory. It's pretty impossible to get seats in the restaurant, so I did takeout which also requires ordering ahead. The vegetarian ramen is a decent portion for $11, but was pretty one-note in flavor, and the noodles had a weird, slimy texture. The poppy seeds in the everything seasoning all piled up at the bottom of the cup, which made the last sip of the broth grainy. They refuse to give you a lid (even though they have a stack of them on display), so don't plan to take your food further than the park across the street. read more

Finally snagged a reservation! Let me tell yall, if you're going to make a reservation, know exactly what you want to eat because it is a timed session and spots go quickly! (Four seats per session) We got the bacon roasted tomato and everything egg ramen. All of the ramen are shoyu based, so they're nice and light for the morning time. This has been one of the coolest, unique dining experiences I've had in a while. Rarely do we get to eat face to face with the chef, and one who's so open to chatting as well. Best ramen I've had so far... My fiancée has been feening to check out this spot. Last month, she managed to grab a reservation and the wait was absolutely worth it. I know, I know... it's "just ramen," but this was a very good one. We both ordered the steak & egg ramen with chili oil, along with a sparkling ginger. The broth was flavorful, the steak was perfectly tender, and the sparkling ginger was well-balanced and refreshing. I'm definitely going back. You need to order the items at the time of the reservation so decide before you try to make a reservation on Resy. It's a very small space with 6 seats (1 table and 4 counter seats). It's a warm and casual ambiance. We got the everything egg bao and the bacon egg and cheese bao - they were both delicious but I liked the bacon egg and cheese bao even more. gritting my teeth writing this because i really love the concept but it missed the mark for me. we ordered the bacon, egg and cheese ramen & the steak and eggs ramen. TLDR: i don't think i will return with how difficult it was to get the reservation to begin with. glad i gave it a shot! what worked well: -beautiful moody ambiance with an intimate feel -sweet chefs -unique flavorful broth what didn't work well: -ramen wasn't really hot when we ate it -broth ran on the oily side -the ramen egg was overdone and wasn't jammy. also wasn't as flavorful as a typical ramen egg -the steak pieces were incredibly small and honestly unappetizing -hard cut bacon just doesn't texturally work with broth. in concept they should balance each other but in reality they get lost in each other -the host didn't recognize my name for the reservation, even though it's a four person restaurant. meaning he only had to keep track of 2 reservations for this time slot because each of us came with one person. i wasn't lost in the system he was just underprepared. (i call this out because when i said the name under the res he said "are you sure?") -i would've expected there to be more conversation with the chefs since it was so intimate but because the time slot was short and they had to prepare for the next group of customers, it took away from that feel -no proper ventilation; i'm more worried about the chefs for this one since they're always cooking read more

Absolutely loved it here! The place was so intimate, warm and calm. The smooth jazz playing was a vibe and the service was good. Everything I ate was phonomenal, I wish I could've ordered more (unfortunately you can't because everything is preordered when you make the reservation). I had the steak (no egg) ramen with chili oil and hojicha tea. The chimichurri-shoyu broth was incredible, I'm still thinking about it. I loved the chili oil for added spice. The steak was so tender and delicious, I wish I ordered extra. I will certainly be back for more (with knowledge of where to sit and what to order). When I first realized that Ramen was more than the $1.75 packs of noodles at Walmart, I didn't know what to think. As someone who grew up poor, I found it cool that "cheap meal" could also be a culinary masterpiece. The food is cooked to order. Always hot. Always fresh. This "breakfast" ramen spot is a great idea. My favorite? The everything Boa. Service is great. You are welcomed warmly by both chefs. There are hooks for your coat, as needed. And you're quickly shown to your seat. Courses are not rushed (although you only have 45 minutes to eat) and they check with you often to confirm you're doing well. NOTE: Reservations are required. PRO TIP: Know what you want before the reservations open, because you will lose your spot if you take too long. Warm, cozy. Intentional. Practical. My favorite spot is "The Nook." Right by the window so provides a nice breeze. The nook only seats one, by the way. The noise level is moderate as it only seats approx. 6-8 people at one time. NOTE: There is no restroom, use the restroom before. Totally worth it. I've taken the train to NYC for the day just to visit Ramen by Ra. The pricing is reasonable, and the portion sizes are quite large. The Owner's story, the restaurant concept, the specific dishes and ingredients, and cultural fusion create so many opportunities to learn. read more

Way to start is WOW ..... first of let me share to get an actual reservation here is very hard but they launched there window pick up today Wednesday 3/4 -3/7 Saturday I got the applewood smoked bacon and fried egg with Parmesan black pepper and scallions bao guys listen when I tell you it was phenomenal every bite the yolk was fried to perfection only thing with me is just i like my bacon crispy crispy it was very well cooked but mines I like to say burn it this needs to stay on forever because it was such a different flavor taste and the quality it left me speechless the perfect size for a breakfast because I am telling you due to the taste being that good I recommend one is perfect the ambiance looks very intimate because the place is super small and I believe it's the best way in order to appreciate one's cooking I loved it i will be trying more stuff on the menu until I can get an actual reservation for the famous ramen soups she makes she was present representing her all in the business very warm feeling can't wait to return ... guys I highly recommend read more
