big fan of places during this time that allow for an open air dining experience! although dine-in is allowed now, it seems like most people are more comfortable eating outside. we visited these food carts on the weekend, which was a pleasant surprise bc i honestly never knew that this spot existed in nw portland! although it was pretty busy, we managed to get a good table with the turnover and ordered some really good food from the ramen cart. we ordered the tantan ramen (level 10 spice, jin, the ippo ramen in level 7 spice), and karage chicken. we tend to eat spicy, but it was so spicy/good that we mediated our portions. just the perfect amount though, we would say! pretty impressive for a food cart. the quality of the noodles were pretty good.

love japanese food and went to japan many times for ramen and kaiseki cuisine. So when we run into a food truck ramen we are so excited about it! The soup is delicious with the chicken broth base, the half flowing egg is a highlights in your mouth, the preserved bamboo shoots is full of flavour and the pork is tender and soft. While the ramen noodle is too hard for me, normally you can choose the Degree of softness in Japen.

Ramen Ippo is a food truck part of the Nob Hill food cart pod/station with good ramen that is decently priced. I took off 1 star because it isn't the most stand out or flavorful ramen I have tried, but I would come back because I would be interested in trying their other items and they are in a great location. I also thought the amount of broth in the tomato ramen was lacking. Plus, I found the ramen to be a bit pricey if you add more toppings and given only 2 slices of chasu pork are given in the Ippo Ramen for a bowl that is $11.00. For most other ramen places I've gone to, you usually get 3-4 slices and the pork is tastier. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating on the sidewalk dedicated to Nob Hill. Street parking is plenty!

I was a bit disappointed after seeing so many 5 star reviews. I got the Ippo Ramen, which I found to be one note. The broth had a good chicken flavor, but that was it, it just tasted like chicken without any depth. Noodles were well cooked with a little chew; they use the straight kind here. Char siu was soft and tender, and there were a few strips of bamboo, which was seasoned, which I like. There's half a soft boiled egg, which was just a touch overcooked, and green onion. It just seemed plain as far as toppings and depth of flavor. What you see in the picture was the extent of toppings, there's not more below, only noodles. It wasn't bad, just underwhelming. Service was friendly.

I only got the takoyaki so I can't comment on the ramen. The takoyaki was decent - good flavoring and can't complain about the octopus. The inside did seem a bit runny and doughy but I don't think it was undercooked. I would have preferred the inside to be a bit firmer but other than that it made for a nice light snack.

Ramen Ippo is a food truck located in the Garage Sale Warehouse food pod located on SW Western Ave close to Uwajimaya. Ramen Ippo has a limited menu of six items in addition to some extra topping choices. Being a vegetarian I'm always excited to find items on a menu suitable for me. Two items here are vegetarian and could be made vegan. I ordered one of each of these items for my friend and I to share. The ramen salad was good but the tomato ramen was just ok. It is pictured with fresh cherry tomatoes but ours had canned tomatoes. Yuck, canned tomatoes? The chef/owner of Ramen Ippo is a very nice man. You can tell by watching him prepare the meals that he cares about what he serves. So I was very surprised to see the canned tomatoes. Maybe he didn't have time to run to Trader Joe's for fresh tomatoes but it would have been better to just skip them rather than use canned which have a definite smell and taste. If you are in the area try Ramen Ippo. It's worth trying. Just ask if he has fresh tomatoes.

I have tried each one of them and all good. They should be in downtown (for me!!!). Chiciken ramen is not too rich (which is my taste) and Ramen Salad or Maze Soba are the best hot summer day. I will be back regularly.

A new food truck serving up some very delicious and creative ramen dishes. I tried the Maze Soba (maze means: to mix) with a side of very tender and delicious chashu pork and it was phenomenal. So much flavor in the Maze Soba with each ingredient adding something distinct to the whole dish. The chef is very experienced and passionate about his food. It made him so happy to see that I was enjoying his ramen. There are plenty of ramen shops on Beaverton and Portland, but definitely worth trying even just once.

We loved it!! Price is amazing ($20 total for Ippo Ramen & Kara-age meal box). Ramen was very flavorful and the noodles were perfectly chewy. Portions were also generous! We will definitely be back.

Got the TanTan ramen which was delicious. Best ramen I've tried in Portland. Broth was unique, noodles had a perfect chew and loved the fresh herbs on top.

Driving toward Uwajimaya in Beaverton and found a hidden gem. Ramen Ippo food cart serves up Paitan Ramen, a chicken broth ramen with a delicious flavor, a little bit salty but overall good broth. The chasu pork belly was succulent with a smoky aroma, seared perfectly. Chef Daisuke worked amongst renowned pedigree in the culinary world during his time at Nobu in Las Vegas (yes that name drop surprised me) but his execution and skill shows in the food. The ramen had chewy noodles, simple yet flavorful chicken both, a soft boiled egg that melts in your mouth, very reminiscent of the soft boiled eggs in Japan (minus the orange yolk) Definitely worth a trip. Holding off on giving 5 stars since I want to try other items on the menu.

We shared the cream cheese wontons, coconut curry with chicken spice level 2(which comes with rice), and the luc lac. Everything was deliciousss! The chicken in the curry broke apart so easily and the curry itself was very flavorful. Spice level 2 was perfect for a little kick, but not too much. The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Nice that they give a whole egg (for $3) because the preset ramens come with half. Noodles were great, and pretty filling given the default price point.
