They have a gluten-free noodle substitute that works for me. :)

Yes, vegan items are: seaweed salad, edamame, chilled tofu, avocado roll, chilled cucumber and tomato and kimchi. We have vege ramen*, ramen salad and agedashi tofu* are vegetarian. (*Vege ramen and agedashi tofu have fish based broth)

Yes! Keep in mind the sauce contains egg, but otherwise, just ask for “no pork” and it’ll be vegetarian. Thanks for asking!

I strongly believe your entire party has to come in right at the time they open. This restaurant is small and they get very busy. Their policy is first come first serve, and whole party must be present to be seated.

It was a bit loud to have conversations with my friend, but we still enjoyed the experience anyways. Since the restaurant was pretty busy, we didn't really have much interaction with the staff aside from the times we had to wave them down. The chashu (pork) slices that came with it was tender with just enough fat to give it the umami flavor. The Tonkotsu Ramen had the thinner noodles. The broth was creamier and richer than the beef broth but not bold or complex compared to other ramen broths I've had but still has a nice balance of flavor between the pork and dashi. Had the same chashu slices. Had more umami flavor than the Udon. Love the Hojicha Panna Cotta. Very smooth consistency. I felt like I'm eating something fancy but not heavy. Combination of light roasted tea and milk flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness. Enjoyed this the most. They had a $3 discount on their Udon. Food came out quickly. Staff were welcoming.

But I prefer to eat different proteins not just one who order of tongue, then jowl, then short rib...when I asked her to only cook some of the jowl, she got upset again. I'm paying for the food, why am I not allowed to choose what order or how much to eat? She didn't even ask which meat we wanted to eat and would pick for us. Some of the meat was over cooked because she went to another table to cook too long or some were under cooked due to wanting to rush us to the next portion. The food itself was very good. The seasoning and adding onions on it tasted good. No explanation of pink salt and normal salt as your only "sauces" so I was confused there. The tofu soup we ordered came out extremely late and I was already full. There were also a lot of bell peppers in there which I'm not used to and didn't love. I'm bummed that she left the short rib last because that tasted the best but I had no room left in my stomach. Again, wishing I was able to eat different proteins not just one at a time... Honestly not sure if I'd come back. It doesn't make for easy conversation either to have someone come to your table mid conversation every few seconds but also be passive aggressive towards you.

Later, another staff member took my order, but when I asked for a shawarma wrap and knafeh, I was told the shawarma wrap wasn't available for dinner--even though it was only around 3 PM. The interaction felt dismissive, and overall I just didn't feel comfortable or welcomed. I decided not to order and asked to speak with a manager to share my experience, but there was no real response or effort to address the situation. No apology, no attempt to make things right. It's disappointing, especially after making the drive out. I hope they work on improving their customer service.

I've never been so disappointed with a restaurant whose food I didn't even try. I came here for the first time with a group of 9 people, and we were seated after 15-20 minutes. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was "WOW, it is so incredibly stuffy and hot in there." It didn't bother me that much because we were there to celebrate a friend's birthday but then it happened. My boyfriend and I wanted to share a meal, and so did another couple. The waiter took our order, left, and then came back after several minutes, letting us know that we didn't meet the $8/person limit. We're like huh? We definitely meet that requirement because each entree there is $10+ so?? Then he went back in, and came out and told us that the manager said that everyone needs to order something, or we should come back another time. OK. We get it. I honestly don't blame the waiter. I blame the manager because he/she is cheap AND unprofessional because 1). You made your employee do your dirty bidding 2). You did not specify anywhere in the restaurant or menus that there was a minimum charge per person. Truly, I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. Maybe the food is good but I wouldn't know. That's beside the fact though; no matter how good the food is, it wouldn't make up for this unprofessional, crappy service. My friend took me to this new ramen place today for lunch. I am sorry to say that the overall experience is not horrible to me. Worst Part: There was an unpleasant pungent cleaning detergent smell in the store when we got in there. It was such a big turn off to us and I almost wanted to leave right a way, but my friend insisted me to stay to check out their food. The horrible part is my glass of water and it was stink!! It tasted so bad because it has the detergent smell in it and I had to ask the waiter to change a new glass of water for me. The waiter came back to assure me that the water is good and only the glass has detergent smell. I found that it is funny and I wish they try it themselves, so they know the feeling of drinking detergent. Okay Part: As for the food, we ordered the popular seafood ramen with extra topping Charsu and egg as they recommended on the menu. The broth and clam was very fresh, but the ramen texture was alright only. The Charsu was below the standard compared to other ramen places. Came here on a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The ramen is the real deal -- both the noodles and the soup base are solid, which honestly is the most important thing. If you've read my Ippudo review, you know I don't say that lightly. The karaage is juicy and well done, though the portion could be a little more generous. Main gripe is the chashu pork -- it was on the tougher side and a bit hard to chew, which is a shame because everything else was on point. Service was fast and attentive even during the lunch rush, which is always appreciated. Nothing fancy about the space, but there's a good amount of seating inside so you shouldn't have trouble finding a table. Parking is easy -- there's a city parking lot nearby that gives you plenty of options. One of the better ramen spots in the area. Fix the chashu and bump up the karaage portion and this is easily a 5-star spot. read more

This small ramen shop in downtown Sunnyvale was one of my favorite ramen places I've tried in South Bay so far! It's a cute restaurant that only seats maybe 25 people or so. It provided a nice intimate atmosphere at the restaurant, which I really enjoyed. Next, the service was super quick. We got our food almost instantly, and they were always quick to fill our waters. I don't think I could have asked for any better service. Finally, I really enjoyed the Tonkotsu ramen! The broth was really tasty, and the meat was super tender. The bowl wasn't as full of noodles as I'd usually like, but the meat and broth definitely made up for this. Overall, I'd really recommend checking this place out if you're around downtown Sunnyvale! read more

Ramen Seas is a fantastic spot for a flavorful and satisfying meal! I ordered a small bowl of the chicken karaage ramen with curry and added some kimchi. The bowl may have been labeled "small," but the portion was generous, and every bite was delicious. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the broth had an excellent depth that brought everything together. My friends ordered the tonkotsu ramen and were equally impressed. Saw the good reviews and wanted to give it a try. The place is decorated Japanese style with personality. Ordered the "Deluxe" which was the seafood ramen with extra vegetables and an egg. It was actually surprisingly good. Unlike the traditional ramen with thick fatty soup base, this one had a light, kind of garlicy flavor, tasty. There were some clams, a shrimp, some baby scallops and lots of various vegetables. The seafood all tasted fresh, and so were the vegetables, I did enjoy it, though it was not cheap. Some of the best ramen I've had. But that's not even the star of the show- their to-go portions are smart (broth separate from toppings) and they give you a HUGE bowl to consume it that fits all of the food, unlike many other places. And the portions are the same size as in-person. The staff is incredibly friendly, the service is quick, and they even gave me a free drink! I wish I could give them 6/5 stars. Little ramen place in downtown sunnyvale, I work nearby and have been here for lunch a couple of times now. I like Ramen so for me this was a nice addition to the neighborhood. Inexpensive ramen, good portions and friendly staff. Lunch can get a little busy I try to get here before 12:30. I usually park across the street at the mall - plenty of parking and a very short walk. read more

This place never disappoints us !!! We have been to orenchi, kotetsu, ieke, matsuri... etc several ramen places in town but ramen sea is by far the best!!! The noodle is great and their cha-shu don is another big plus here! Even my Japanese friends say that this is a "honkaku" (real) ramen place ! The food was fine and the service was prompt. But we had two problems with this restaurant: 1. After we made our order, the waiter told us we didn't order enough and made us order more food!!! 2. When we got our bill, the tip was already filled out for us!!!! I've never been to a restaurant where this has happened. Will never eat here again. read more

This is likely my last visit to it. Today we had lunch with kids there. We sat by the window and flies were around our table all the time. Although it was cool and breezy outside, it was hot and stuff in the restaurant. Overall, I think it was not as clean as a restaurant should be and the Miso broth is extremely salty. read more

Customer service is dead. This is the conclusion that I have come to after trying to have dinner here tonight. Waitress acted like it was a privilege for customers to dine at RS. Good quality Ramen. Not that Ramen is ever bad, but they have all types and varieties. The water is about right, so the ramen is just the right texture and taste. For your mouth. Restaurant is light and has the right mix of tables and staff. Side dishes complement the ramen. read more
