We stopped by for lunch with some friends and were added to the waitlist, with about a 10-15 minute wait. The restaurant was nice and clean, and we were seated fairly quickly. We ordered the pork buns, gyoza, tonkatsu ramen, and the bulgogi rice bowl; everything was delicious. The ramen was especially a hit with my daughter; it was very flavorful. The only minor downside was that we wished the staff had checked on us a bit more, but it was fairly busy and there seemed to be only a couple of servers working. Overall, it's a solid ramen spot and worth checking out if you're in the area.

The staff were super friendly from the moment I walked in. Multiple staff checked on me to make sure I was doing well while eating. I saw the ramen on top 100 in US so I had to try. The blackjack ramen was ok, not much flavor despite all the things in it. The chasu was not as tender or flavorful. The pork buns flavor was decent but meat to bun ratio was small. It's a nice environment inside and clean.

Is Ramen Ya the best ramen in the Baltimore area? I'd argue so. I've had so many options here and never had a bad experience. Even the veggie ramen is exceptional. You owe it to yourself to visit.

Ramen Ya is like going to your friends house eat while they have also invited others. The rectangular dining room is an efficient layout in which the kitchen in the front of house can deliver the food. Beverages are housed in a glass upright cooler in the front. Suggest bringing a hoody or sweater inside in Jan and Feb because It can get cold inside. Probably because It looks like the building is a former fast food or Pizza Hut type place with lots of glass. The ramen is authentic and great. The service is great too.

The ramen here is phenomenal! This is my first time here. I tried the tonkotsu ramen which was so rich in flavor. It comes with an egg and 4 pieces of chashu which was so so tender. It literally melts in your mouth! My friend got the black jack which has garlic oil which was also good. The wait on a Wednesday evening was about 30-40 minutes wait, but it was so worth it. It's a cozy restaurant inside. You can also see them making the ramen from scratch at the window.

I have to update my review to say RamenYa listened and they leveled up. During my recent visit, my bowl was so rich in flavor and filled to the brim. Worthy of a wait. We gas to wait a bit to get seated but it was definite worth it. It was crowded even at 7:30pm. We got a table and ordered a variety of ramen to try several different kinds. The curry was amazing. The spicy was good but not overly spicy. The black was good and the regular tonkatsu was good.

Ramen Ya is a small place in comparison to their popularity. What seems to be an old Pizza Hut has been transformed into a casual ramen eatery. The BLACK JACK RAMEN was fantastic! The pork was tender, well seasoned and surprisingly lean. Often you get more fat than meat with Chashu, but here it was the exact opposite. At least that was my experience. Both the broth and boiled egg (Ajitsuke Tamago) were very flavorful and the noodles were somewhat al dente. Best of all, pricing was reasonable and service was excellent. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Well deserving of their current 4.6 star rating!

Came here on a Friday evening after work. We had a bit of a wait, but it was reasonable. This place is located in what appears to be an old Pizza Hut building. The ramen here was delicious, you can even watch them make it fresh! I got the Black Tonkotsu and some sake, which came packaged in a cup. It was different from what I'm used to when ordering sake, but everything was delicious. I'm most definitely coming back once the weather cools down!

I've been told to go here for years and I finally listened! This is a very unique experience. I'm references to like 5 to 9 dishes. You're going to get pork or vegetarian basically. No chicken options. This is a nice place to get a spicy traditional style ramen. I did a black garlic dish and no regrets. I must say I prefer more modification options, but love that this place sticks to more tried and true options. You can get away with maybe one large group, but mostly 2 seater options with a couple of bench options. The service was fairly quick.

I waited a while to be seated on a Saturday afternoon and decided on blackjack ramen. I wish thrrr were descriptions of the components of the ramen on the menu bc I had no idea what I was getting. Ramen was tasty but actually much more flavorful the next day after flavors melded with much more intensity! I'd definitely go back but for takeout.

The Ramen was good, not excellent, but good. I've had ramen that was better and much, much worse in my life. I would return if it were near me. The gyoza, on the other hand, was no bueno. It was greasy and crunchy - two things gyoza shouldn't be. read more

The ramen was delicious and the service was fast. I came here on a Saturday and was told to write down a name for my friend and I. For two, the wait was around 30 minutes, which was fine. We waited in the car. When we went in, we were seated immediately. Our server checked up on us and was very courteous. The ramen wasn't too salty and oily. It's just as you would expect in any average ramen. I did notice there wasn't much seating and over half of the place was for storage/kitchen use. I feel that with more seats, more people would come and the wait would be quicker. Overall, yummy and worth coming in at least once. read more

Couldn't tell you how the food was. Brought my family here to try the place out and we had (I believe) a table of 6. We saw many people come in after us who got seated before us. When we asked why this was happening, they said they didn't want to put together smaller tables to make one table and that they would just wait for a larger table to get done to seat us. We left after this and waiting half an hour. read more

Great local ramen. I have done take out from here several times but this is my first dining in experience. The menu is short and simple which makes ordering easy. I have had both the Tonkatsu and shoyo styles of ramen (not spicy) as well as the gyoza and they were all delicious. The gyoza dipping sauce has a hint of horseradish which paired well with it. The ramen is very satisfying and filling. The staff is quick and cheerful. The orders were accurate and well packaged. Ramen Ya is in what used to be a Pizza Hut and it's behind a gas station in a large strip mall so it can be hard to find but once you have found it, you will make your way back! read more

Very good ramen! I can't believe we have something like this in this area. Usually you have to go to Ellicott/Columbia area to get some good Asian food but this is a gem to be so close to home. We got the miso and the blackjack. Everything was delish. Would go again!! read more

I will start off with the fact that the employees were phenomenal so this is no indictment on them. I decided to go on whim after reading the reviews, and let's just say I wasn't impressed. I'm well traveled and this experience didn't sniff authentic. I love Asian cuisine all types matter of fact and this just wasn't hitting the bar of combined flavors and just the general umami Asian foods provides. I'm not sure if the kitchen had a bad day but I've eaten Ramen many of times and wouldn't even recommend the place. I ordered two Black Jacks and all I got was pure oil. The restaurant was nice for what's that's worth. I wouldn't go again, but don't let me stop you. read more

Amazing Ramen! Flavor can't be beat and fresh ingredients. Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with extra green onion cause I like that freshness! I'm very particular about quality and freshness and first time I had ramen that I cared for! Even so much I don't even order it any place Else. You can watch them make the noodles from your seat... probably from any seat in the place. They also fly in the flour from Japan for making the noodles. Read about it on their website! read more

Yesterday we ordered ramen for take-out. The person on the phone said 15 min so I got ready right away and picked it up. The restaurant was full and more people arrived as I walked in. The food was ready to go! Everyone was so friendly. I ordered miso ramen, my husband got the spicy miso and my daughter the vegetable ramen. It was sooo good! I always wish there was a little bit more broth only because it is so delicious! It was the perfect amount for my ramen though. The egg (my favorite) was cooked to perfection. One of the best ramen shops I've been too! There is a little bit of a wait before entering and I think it closes mid day, but it is worth it. It definitely compares to a ramen shop in New York, the pork I got just melted in my mouth. Definitely a good go to when your feeling like a soup day. read more

Pork Chashu don was delish with the right amount of pork to rice ratio and the soft boil egg was like icing on the cake. This is one of the best black tonkatsu ramen I've had locally in the dmv. I've been here several times and am a fan of the miso ramen. However, I found out when you order to-go, they barely give enough broth (only fills up half of container if you're lucky). This past time, I decided to request extra broth and was hoping they would just fill the container. To my surprise, they gave me a second container with even less broth than the first and charged an extra $5. Why can't they just fill one container up properly so the customer doesn't have to pay extra to get the same amount of broth served in the restaurant?? And if they're not gonna fill up the to-go container all the way up, why charge me a whole $5?. Improvement could definitely be made here. read more

A hidden gem! Their Ramen is insanely delicious and the noodles are made fresh daily on site. You even have a view of the process when you dine in. They do close for a few hours a day for up keep. (I want to say between 2-4 pm?.. Don't quote me lol) My daughter and I stopped in one day right before they were set to close for a few hours, and they gladly let us stay as long as we didn't mind the staff having lunch alongside us. We happily accepted. I live right across the street from this place and can't think of why I don't eat here more often. Like I mentioned in the beginning, it is a "literal" hidden gem" It sits behind a gas station that's located next to Giant Food, so I guess it must be one of those "out of sight out of mind" things.. I will be making a better effort to eat here more often for sure. :) read more

Alrighty y'all, here we go again: Came here on a busy Friday night with seven of my closest friends. You sign in on a clipboard, wait til your name is called, and then you're taken to your seat. Menu is simple and straightforward with some *delicious* options. We got pork buns for the table, and when I say we inhaled them I mean we INHALED them. They were perfect; the soft sweetness of the bun was complimented by tender, savory pork. A chili sauce and some greens made a perfect light crunch with the heaviness of the pork and bun. Proceeded to order a peach beer (10/10 would recommend, it was heavenly) and a spicy tonkotsu ramen. I would've taken pictures, but my table decimated our food before the camera could eat. Sorry y'all. The ramen was exceptional, bursting with flavor and very generous in portion. We will absolutely be back! Thanks for the wonderful experience :) read more

Lived in Japan for four years, and eat Ramen frequently. Hard to find good Ramen in the US. This place has good tasting Ramen with the noodles cooked perfectly! Service is very good - server's are very cordial! Ambiance is okay. read more

This is hands down the best ramen place I've visited in the area. I'm so glad they opened up. We had dinner here a few months ago but I've been meaning to go again. It appears to be in a building that was a pizza hut but looks very nice and redone on the inside. There's windows where you can see the area they use to make homemade noodles etc. We had gyoza which were very tender and juicy, but then the ramen itself was just phenomenal, great texture on the homemade noodles and extremely flavorful and tender meat that beat anywhere else around here hands down. The broth was unctuous and very deep in porky delicious flavor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone in the area who loves ramen. Definitely a new favorite for me. They also stock Japanese beers and soju, for anyone who likes a drink with their ramen. read more

My husband & I wanted some good ramen & we didn't feel like driving into the city of DC for our normal ramen place so we decided to go here. I have to say the ramen was so delicious great spice & flavor good prices I have to say & good beer. It was in Glen Burnie didn't mind the drive wasn't too far for me. I'm a newbie to Ramen And some time ago I seen this place across from me to be open...some factors delayed that like liquor license but fell off track when they did open. So here we are today 12/14/21 I've been stacking tracking reviews and knew I needed to come early upon opening I Did about 11:45-50 folks already there had the same idea this place is small it used to be a pizza hut I ordered and carried out as I waited folks were coming left and right! I Ordered spicy Tonkotsu ramen,pork bun,Shumai as I got home which isn't far I heated my Ramen broth and my appetizers sampling everything before sitting down I was in Awe! And hungry then realized I need to do a true review. So here it goes never had authentic Ramen except the grocery store brand. But this was AUTHENTIC AND Amazing Everything! Now to critique NEED MORE PORK! In Ramen Only Had 1 Slice the pork buns can use more pork they were delicious and the shumai I had to make more dipping sauce which I know how to make no problem delicious. Now back to the Ramen... Store OR Authentic I have found I'm not a Over noodle lover Not even in my Pho! More Broth And meats, is Me I find the broth starts to soak in the noodles leaves you with less to no broth and alot Noodles. Everything was amazing the heat,the broth, pork,egg! Appetizers Everything!!! I Shall Return!! DEFINITELY DELICIOUS GIVE IT A TRY. I have two words....Pork Buns!! I am going to dream about dem buns for awhile. Best buns I have had in a long time...you have to get your hands on them buns and try them. You will thank me. All the ramen we had was also super flavorful and the pork was tender and melted in your mouth The service was most excellent and everyone had a smile on their face (I think...they were all wearing masks)...but very energetic and polite. Also they have a nice beer selection..I had the Orion "The Draft"....very very tasty. Anyway...I highly recommend this place. They are a gem on Crain Highway for sure! read more

I didn't know that the Glen Burnie region had a really good ramen place. I visited this place and it was very busy, but I still had a good experience. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The broth was really good, although I think it could be a little bit richer. The meat was soo tender and flavorful, and the noodles are freshly made in house so you know already that's going to be delicious. I also ordered the pork buns, and were sooo good. The bun was so soft, the meat was flavor. The only negative thing I could say about the buns was that there was a lot of mayo but made it a bit messy, but it was still really good! Definitely coming back! read more

I felt that the salmon was very fresh and I thought they gave very large chunks of salmon compared to other restaurants that really do skip out on the salmon portion, but this restaurant did not! The poke had cucumbers, mangoes, avocado, and scallions as well and I felt that the mango with a nice touch to add some sweetness, and it was also very fresh. The addition of the cucumber gave a nice crunchy texture that helped the dish overall. As for the sauce, I got the original non-spicy poker sauce. I didn't use too much of it because a little bit goes a long way. I recommend anyone to come and try out the poker here and I haven't tried their Ramen yet, but I do look forward to it soon.

We were told it would be about 15 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 25. The arcade room was quite dark, which made playing pinball difficult. When I asked a staff member if the lights could be turned on, she explained that the owner prefers to keep them off. I hope they reconsider, as better lighting would make the arcade much more enjoyable. There are single-occupancy restrooms near the arcade that were much less busy than those by the main dining area. Since our last visit, we also learned that the former liquor store next door has been converted into an overflow dining room when the main restaurant is busy, and it's also used for private events. Despite the wait, Angie, our server, was excellent. She was personable, attentive, and even happy to take a group photo for us. The food was great. I especially enjoyed the Old Bay wings, rockfish tenders, soft shell crab sandwich, and waffle fries. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal, and we look forward to returning.

Boy, do I have to say what an amazing spot! I never had a good bowl of ramen in my life til I came here yesterday! I was even more surprised by the amount of drinks they got and I gotta tell you, I'm a drinker myself and these little bottles they got there really was interesting to taste, had to tell my wife I was going to do some day-drinking again... Quick service and some decent ramen. I tried their Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and it was good. Hot pork-based broth with tender slivers of pork belly. My 1-star ding is due to the noodles, which I found were to be under-cooked. Some ramen places ask how you want your noodles cooked, but this place seems to be one size fits all. This place is good. We expected more considering the reviews and 4.5 star rating, but it met expectations. The buns were delicious flavor wise just wish there was more of it in the bun. The bun is a good thickness and when the meat is gone, you'll probably do what I did and dip the bread in the sauce.
