Lunch meal was ok on 07.21.22. This was during the noon time. The wait staff was good and checked back often to see how things were or if we needed anything else. We did ask them to turn down the volume in the bar area. The other side from where you enter the restaurant. They did turn down the music so one could talk and hear the other person. Then 15 minutes later someone turned the music level back up to where it wasn't pleasant to be in the restaurant any longer. So we left, doubt I will be back to the restaurant. Learn that people go to a restaurant for a decent meal and be able to have a good conversation with out having to talk loud to be heard by others due to the music playing. It's not that good. In the last year I ordered a three taco plate fully expecting to provided my meat choice. Very surprised when I wasn't. So I anticipated something like beef or pork and that would have been fine. Instead I got rice, beans lettuce and salsa on tacos! Wait hang on I paid a price appropriate to see meat. When I presented them back and nicely assumed an error they sort of seemed surprised I had even noticed. Like some white woman wouldn't even know the difference. They remade tacos with meat. Another occasion I was making tacos at home but decided to purchases rice and beans from them. I paid a price like there was possibly gold in the beans. Just about two weeks ago I got up the nerve up to buy sides of rice and beans again. Same order and significantly less cost. But it was a different woman I've never seen before. Breakfast burritos were big and yummy. I got chorizo and egg. For size comparison their breakfast burritos are about the same as a Chipotle or three Taco Bell bean burritos, but that's the only similarity. Taste wise I could use a bit more savory but the salsa cups that came with filled that need. The store is great and smells amazing. Lots of spices and ingredients, fresh tamales and tortillas, sauces, and several marinated meats in the back case. Staff were friendly and didn't make fun of my 11th grade Spanish. I have been here several times over the last however many years and it's always been good! The food is so yummy and plentiful. The prices are great and so are the people. I would say the only negatives are the ambiance. There were people smoking near the door so you had to make sure to sit far enough away so you didn't have to deal with the cold or smoke. Also, the bar area was really loud. I'm glad they have the two sections at least. The other thing I didn't love is that two of our dishes came out together and no one said anything about the fries (for my kid) so we were sitting there like did they forget about us? It was just kind of awkward. Someone finally came and explained that the fries take longer to cook, which is fine, I get it. I didn't like that the adults food arrived 5-10 min before my kids. It's always preferred the other way, or explain it to us and give us the option. We would have preferred our food all come out at the same time. Regardless, this place is great and we will be back. Stopped in to this establishment today for a bite to eat. Yelp recommendations sounded good. I enjoyed looking in the store. They had a lot of items that you don't find elsewhere. Also a meat counter. When I entered the cashier area I was told to sit anywhere I liked. A waiter promptly came over with some chips salsa and a menu. After a while she came back for my order. I ordered a chicken tamale with red sauce. An enchilada with chicken and green sauce. I made the enchilada a meal so I would get rice and beans. The food came pretty quickly. The beans and rice were very tasty. The enchilada filling was OK. Veggies and chicken on the inside. Tortilla nice. However it was not warm and there was barely any cheese or sauce. Disappointing. Tamale was a bit thick but the chicken and chilies on the inside were tasty. There was not enough sauce on it however. I asked for more and never received it until I asked for it to go box. Got a small container of the sauce as well. Overall the food was good and I probably would try it again if I were in the area. The service not so much. Overall price? $13 for a lunch. Because of work I drive all over WA state, today I happened to stop at Ramirez Mexican Store, don't be deceived by the name. It's also a restaurant. I ordered carne asada, regretfully the restaurant didn't use the meat cut for carne asada. Everything else was great, the tomatillo sauce (green sauce) that comes with the corn chips is out of this world, let me say this, is not spicy hot it will not make you cry. The flavor is different, I would say is Tumwater; the sauce is unique because the flavor you can find it only here. I've been around and it has no comparison. Service is good I was greeted as soon as I walked in, the server was attentive, ah! And totally bilingual!!! Don't be put off by the store/bar/restaurant use of the space, each space is well defined and you will not be disappointed. This is the second restaurant that uses a different cut of meat for their asada plate. I am going to start asking what kind of cut it's used for the asada. No picture because of that! read more

I stopped into Ramirez earlier this afternoon to get two orders of queso (I was making nachos for dinner and queso sounded amazing to go with it) the lady that took my order was great, I asked for military discount showed her my ID and she had to get the manager to do the discount. After he did the discount he walked away and from a distance asked the lady at the counter if she actually saw my ID which she did, my question is why ask that after you already applied the discount and walked away?! Anyways, I get my order and go home. I am getting ready to make my nachos and open up the queso and when I tell you it didn't look right I am so serious. I tried it and spit it out, the texture of it was so grainy it was as if I was eating grits, the flavor was awful! I called into Ramirez and the lady put me in touch with the manager which was a horrible experience. I tell him about the queso and he just says back to me- so you ordered queso this morning and are just now calling about it? No sir I ordered a little over an hour ago! Customer service is huge and this manager lacked it on so many levels! I do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever due to customer service! We ordered street style tacos 2 pork 2 beef with beans and rice. We also ordered a pork Tamale on the side. Since I am bariatric this was well enough food and even brought a container home.
