Passed Rancher Hat bar while riding bikes in PB! We stopped in for my first hat & Shiloe was amazing! The hat bar was beautiful, smelled amazing inside and was so clean. Best part was, it was all so simple. Picked my hat along with all the accessories and Shiloe went to work. She was so creative and made my vision come to light!! It was such a good way to end our trip in San Diego. Definitely had a good experience building my hat, and would come here again!! purchased a gift card from this store to be delivered ( emailed ) on my wife's birthday. Gift card never received. Made contact with 2 stores ( San Diego/Phoenix) . Got a text from" Lindsay" on 11/19 @ 1006 hours stating " sorry its busy over here with the holidays, store closed M/T , its and automatic process should come in a few days " paraphrased. I responded. " Nothing recieved" She replied; she would reach out to Corporate. on 11/20/2025 @ 0934 I requested a refunded, to the number "Lindsay" had been texting me from. No response. I had a 1pm reservation yesterday and arrived a bit late due to traffic but was shocked to see that only one person was working and looked completely overwhelmed. I had called to let her know I was gonna be a bit late and was told it was fine but when I got there she said she could not help our group which was different than what I was told on the phone. She had a 12pm reservation that did not finish their hats until 1:45 and the 2 pm for a group of 20 came early so we were told we could not make our hats until they finished. They overbooked for the day because there was no way she would have been able to service the 12,1 and 2 pm reservations. Very sad because we were excited to make hats :( read more

I have never seen more patient associates. When I walked in there were a group of ladies completely unaware of anyone else in the store. The associates kept their cool and were well aware of multiple waiting. They apologized many times and still made me feel seen/welcomed. I greatly appreciate these girls and their professionalism. When it was my turn they were very apologetic and extremely helpful in choosing my hat and accessories! read more

On the positive side: Inventory - This neighborhood shop carries a huge inventory with a wide variety of brands, styles and price points. Prices - From what I can tell, each brand and style may offer a variety of price points and the shop does sometimes offer discounts and specials. Availability - The shop offers convenient and customer friendly hours, check web site for the details. Staff - In my experience the staff has invariably been welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. When I recently mentioned that a flat cap I'd purchased there seemed a little snug, they insisted on enlarging it a half-size at no charge, and the result was perfect. Location - It is absolutely perfect for me to have what I've heard is the country's best hat store only 15 minutes from home. I often arrive with questions only and they are always welcoming and helpful. Negatives The traffic is awful because of construction work going on along 4th Avenue. Parking anywhere nearby on the street is nearly impossible, but there is a small lot at the rear of the building in the alley between 4th and 5th, and Robinson and University that I've never seen more than half-filled and is free for customers.

I asked whether there were any other holes like it on the hat, and she acknowledged there were not. I then asked to speak with the store manager and was told the manager was not there. When I asked who could make that decision, the assistant manager said she would need to contact the executive manager but did not offer to do so until I specifically asked her to make the call. Instead, she took the hat from me and said she would return it to the vendor. I explained that I wanted to buy the hat and was simply requesting a reasonable discount because it had a visible defect. At that point, she said, "It can't hurt to ask the manager," took my phone number, and said someone would get back to me. I'm waiting to see whether management follows up and will update this review accordingly.

They have hats of all kinds from high end baseball caps to fedoras and cowboy hats. I have a small head so buying hats online doesn't usually end up working out. It's great to have a local option! I think the prices are a little high, but so are PB rent prices for businesses so whatever. I'm glad I can try things on before making my purchase. This wholesale flower market was such a discouraging experience. All of the flowers were sad and dying and brown and it is pricey for a "wholesale pricing" business. I ended up having to go to Trader Joe's for three of the flower varieties I was looking for and not only did Trader Joes have them but they were vibrant and lively and, far less expensive. The wholesale flower market is great for greens, ribbon, floral accessories, vessels and maybe exotic florals that are pre-ordered, other than it was a bust.

They sent the wrong order first of all-then sent a dead depressing lei rather than a the big white orchid and red rose pictured. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. One or two times is reasonable, but to keep repeating that mistake and ruining people's orders by cutting corners and using cheap Flowers as fillers is called a Scam or fraud. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)

I recommend this place, but definitely go into the store rather than order online. Originally I ordered a hat online and it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. Apparently some of the patches online aren't always in stock in all the stores.. hopefully they can better update their online selection. Anyways, I took the hat in to see if they could help fix it and they were extremely helpful and kind. ended up leaving with exactly what I was imagining. Grace was the very sweet girl working the day I went in. She was patient and thorough. I would highly recommend going to check out their store and make a fun hat. read more
