Chicken fried steak with biscuits & gravy
N E.

Best biscuits and gravy I've had in the Central Valley. Food is absolutely amazing! Chicken fried steak is really good also! Service was excellent and the ambiance is casual with a country feeling! Come get some of my #1 voted biscuits and gravy!

Small town diner feel with friendly (though sometimes rushed) service. The menu has a wide range of options with diner favorites like chicken fried steak and fish and chips, to Mexican options (burritos, menudo and posole). The prices have gone up in recent years, but this restaurant provides large portions for the price. Some things can be hit or miss, on a recent visit my uncles chicken wings were cold in the middle and my dad's fish and chips were not served hot or crispy. However, the servers are very friendly and have no problem correcting issues that arise. The Chile verde nachos I ordered on my last visit were delicious and had a generous amount of toppings. Other favorites are the fried zucchini, southwest eggrolls, shrimp fettuccine alfredo and the chicken fried steak. Overall, a solid hometown spot to stop for a meal.

Great service. Greater food. Semi cramped seating. Loud ambience. But after a hike, the Chorizo burrito (4.5 out of 5), the chicken fried steak and eggs (5 out of 5), the fluffy biscuit (22 out of 10), and pancakes and eggs, we're all winners. Will DEFINITELY come back!

Taco salad , it's huge in person

First time here. Huge portions. Taco salad and county fried steak. Both were very good, except I would've liked the potatoes to be more seasoned (other than adding salt/pepper at the table), just my preference. Attentive service. We'll be returning to try other items.

We couldn't decide so we shared the tri-tip nachos. Plenty for two.

So many good choices! Good portions and plenty of choices. If you want anything from pasta to Mexican. So good. And very affordable by todays standards.

We wanted to stop for a quick breakfast on the way home from visiting a family member and we decided to stop here. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the establishment and the friendliness of the staff! I ordered a veggie omelet with country potatoes and a biscuit. The omelet tasted amazing, and the potatoes were excellent. The biscuit was a bit dry but tasted great. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly, as well! Not sure if we will be regulars there since we don't go to Madera often, but definitely on the radar for another visit if we ever find our self in Madera around breakfast time again.

Bbq trio. Lots of really well prepared proteins and sides.

The line went fast, and everyone there was so friendly. The place looks really nice inside and has a cute outdoor seating area. Due to the summer heat, we ate inside but noticed they had little fans on the outdoor tables to keep the bugs away which is much appreciated. The flavor of the food was delicious! The surf and turf was not only good but it was gorgeous!! I am obsessed with the flavor on the shrimp. The only complaint we have is half of our food was cold. The surf and turf and the tri tip was cold, but the chicken was steaming hot and the carbonara was nice and warm. The flavor and cook in the tri tip was good. The carbonara was really good, and the chicken was super tender and had a nice flavor. I can't believe it was only $6 to add on 2 chicken breasts to the pasta. The salmon burger was also good, it was just a little messy to eat. The patty broke into a few pieces that would slide out which made the avocado slide out much easier. The fries were also good. Something that really stood out to us was the size of the portions. You definitely get a bang for your buck here. I would love to return and try one of their salads. They looked phenomenal!

The food was absolutely fabulous, but what truly made the evening special was our waitress, Anne. Anne has a cheerful, professional personality that immediately made us feel welcome. She was attentive, friendly, and helped make our family celebration feel extra special. She checked on us throughout the meal, anticipated our needs, and always did so with a genuine smile. Celebrating a 92nd birthday is a memorable occasion, and Anne played a big part in making it such a joyful experience. Outstanding service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere--we couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you, Anne, and the entire Pismo's team for helping us create such a special memory for Grandma! Happy 91nd Birthday to Grandma! What a wonderful milestone to celebrate with family.

We both brought food home and were full to the brim! Another delightful meal, and I am sure we will return to try something different! Good eat in a fantastic atmosphere with great service. Happy eating in Fresno.

Here's a polished five-star review that keeps your honest feedback while ending on a positive note:…read more We've been to Yard House a few times now, and it's always a solid choice when you're looking for a menu with lots of variety. I like that they offer everything from Asian-inspired dishes like the ahi tuna and chicken lettuce wraps to healthier options like the steak bowl. The steak bowl is on the smaller side, but adding the house steak sauce really brings the flavors to life. One of the best deals is their Happy Hour from 3-6 p.m., when many appetizers are half off. It's a great way to try several dishes without spending a fortune, and we've enjoyed everything we've ordered. I also want to give a shoutout to our server, Tyler. Even though the restaurant was busy and we had originally been seated at a regular table, my young son had fallen asleep. We asked if there was any chance we could move to a booth, and Tyler went out of his way to make it happen. That extra effort made our visit much more comfortable, and we really appreciated it. My only real criticism is the Yard House app. It seems to focus on mobile ordering, but I think most people visit Yard House to dine in. I would much rather see the app include a rewards program that encourages loyal customers to come back. That would make a great dining experience even better. Overall, the food is consistently good, the menu offers something for everyone, and the service has always been excellent. We'll definitely be back!

Texas de Brazil in Fresno has become one of my favorite restaurants, and we go there at least once…read morea month. I rate restaurants on a 5-point scale based on food quality, service, cleanliness, and price/value/variety (1 point each), plus wait time/pacing and atmosphere/ambiance (0.5 point each). Based on that scale, I would give Texas de Brazil a 4.7 out of 5. Every time we visit, the restaurant is spotless. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, from the dining area to the salad bar, which is always fresh, flavorful, well-stocked, and beautifully maintained. Even though it is self-service, staff are constantly checking the area, keeping it clean, and making sure dishes are replenished. The service is excellent. The servers are attentive from the moment you arrive. They offer drinks quickly, explain the menu, and remain consistently present without being intrusive. Your plate never stays empty for long, and you never feel like you have to chase someone down for service. The meats are absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, flavorful, and plentifu, and I mean plen-ti-ful. Since Texas de Brazil is all-you-can-eat, you really do get your money's worth. It is on the pricier side, which is why I would take 0.3 off for price/value/variety, but the quality of the food, the service, and the amount you can enjoy still make it worth it. I've seen some reviews mention feeling rushed, especially during busy times or holidays. My recommendation is simple: use the red/green card system to your advantage. If you turn your card to red, they stop bringing meat to your table. When you're ready for more, turn it back to green. That makes the experience much more enjoyable and lets you eat at your own pace. Another plus is that they often have online promotions where you can buy multiple dinners at a significant discount, usually valid Monday through Thursday. Even when using those deals, the quality and service remain just as good. The only item I personally found a bit too salty was the Parmesan chicken, so I'd skip that one or try it with caution. As for dessert, they've all been wonderful so far, but the carrot cake is currently my favorite. Overall, Texas de Brazil is absolutely worth it if you enjoy great service, quality food, and a dining experience that feels like a treat every time.

To be honest, I only gave this place…read moreanother shot because I had a gift card, but I have to say... it was a lot better this time around! I went during peak hours on a busy day, and seeing the place packed actually made me feel a bit more secure. I figured with that many customers, the kitchen and salad bar would naturally stay fresher since the food is constantly being cycled out. While I still think any establishment should keep things up to par regardless of how slow it is, the difference in freshness this time was really noticeable compared to my first visit when it was dead. The service was great, which is a big win for me because even in my last review, I mentioned the service was the one thing they got right. I'm really glad to see that's still super consistent here. As for the food, they had a lot of "trendy" meats that I've been hearing about. I think it's a cut that's been all over TikTok the Picanha cut? I might be wrong on the name, but I'd heard people talking about it and it was super good and very tender. The biggest improvement, though, was the consistency. I prefer my beef medium-rare, and last time I was here, almost everything they brought out was well-done. This time, every piece that made its way to my table was cooked exactly how I like it. I'm glad I was actually able to enjoy the meal this time!
