Yum! Unfortunately Randy's donuts gets a five star review. I wish the donuts were not so good because then I would not be tempted to order the bacon caramel bar. Because we have grandchildren we have tried many of their donuts. None have ever disappointed. Widely recognized for the iconic gigantic donut sign at their original Inglewood location, Randy's has been an LA institution since 1962. This new, modern location in Torrance looks nothing like the mid century landmark, but the donuts are similarly fantastic. I was dazzled by the selection-there must have been over 50 flavors. An unlabeled yellow frosted donut with a dusting of red on top caught my eye. "Is that one Mango with Tajin?" It was. Reminiscent of my favorite childhood treat (Mangonada) the raised donut was filled with sweet mango preserves, and dusted with salty, spicy Tajin. Easily one of the best donuts I have ever enjoyed. I also tried the Matcha Crumb, Lemon Old Fashioned, and Double Chocolate Old Fashioned. The cake donuts were moist and fluffy, and the raised airy, melt in your mouth perfection. The icings were thick and very sweet, which I personally love. My Iced Latte was also surprisingly good, and I like that they offer soy milk. Employees were genuinely friendly. 10/10. read more

Every now and then I crave a donut. This is the closest donut shop to my house which is why I choose to come here. Service is usually pretty fast, depending on who's ahead of you, and the workers have always been nice. The donuts are delicious. They're definitely creative at times. If you want a simple donut, they got you. If you want a donut with a whole bunch of toppings on it like bacon, M&M's, Cinammon Toast Crunch etc., they got you in that category as well. The doughnut tour of old favorites continues. Randy's did NOT disappoint. Very happy to see multiple locations now, besides the original one I used to visit. This one in Torrance is right along Hawthorne. Doughnuts are just as remembered. Still fresh, still tasty, and still plenty of toppings on them. They have a few new ones, but all the classics. The chocolate buttermilk was excellent. This is one of those rare places that continue to make their product the same as in the past, not skimping on quality, or cutting costs. Thanks to Craig Y., I found the newest Randy's Donuts in Los Angeles County. This is a brand-spanking new building with practically no line and a great location with plenty of free parking for everyone. The donuts were plentiful and fresh out of the deep-fryer, so the taste was wonderful and exactly like the original donuts I've become familiar with. It is true that these donuts are so special, they do not get instantly hard in a few hours. This is the morning after my visit, and they are great for breakfast. I tried to stick with the middle range donuts, which are reasonably priced for the quality and taste you receive. I was able to stay under $20 dollars, but tipped , due to the current economic climate. Although it's a small shop, it serves up a whopping taste that can't be duplicated by competitors. Keep up the expansion Randy, there's a lot of hungry patrons in this upscale area of Torrance! read more

My wife was raging about this place and how amazing it is. I'm from up north and I've never heard of the place. But I like donuts, so I thought "sure, premium donuts just once is no big deal." The line was fine, they have a QR code so you can see the menu without being in other people's business. They have signs on the ground to keep you 6 feet away from each other, and it seemed orderly. The reason for the 2 stars, is I have noticed that glove changes when working with cash is minimal, and the 6 feet rule doesn't really apply when ordering and paying. At all... Additionally, my wife got a french crueller, which is her favorite donut, and she said it was the worse she's ever had. She also got the red velvet, and said it was dry and flavorless. The apple fritter was awesome. Better than Moon donuts. But the lemon filled was disappointing as it tasted like the same over-sugary teeth destroying filling you get in those 50 cent lemon snack pies from 7-Eleven. Overall, spending nearly $10 for the 4 treats was not really worth it to us. Maybe I'll come back in 5 - 6 months when they've worked out all the kinks in sanitation, proper health department guidance regarding COVID, and recipes. read more

I am loving the fact that more food spots are popping up in the South Bay! Especially when it's a dessert spot! I'm that person that will have her dessert first before her main meal. I was so happy that they opened one in Torrance! This is my favorite donut shop! I always order the glaze raised, glaze twists, chocolate twists, and the chocolate long John's. They are my favorites! I tried other flavors like the red velvet or matcha, but I end up back to my glazed raised and twists. Not to mention that their price is very reasonable.
