Tried them recently for the first time as one opened near my house in Torrance. Used to like Krispy Kreme, but Randy's is just so much better. Comparing the raised donuts to KK, they are much more substantial, taste better and not as oily as KK. KK sometime has a bit of an oil aftertaste, maybe it is just old oil. Will never buy a Krispy Kreme donut again, Randy's is hands down a better donut. read more

I have been to Randy's Donuts a few times, I find their doughnuts are wonderful; always fresh and flavorful.

WOW. How have I not eaten these before?? Easily at the top of the list of all the donut shops in the area. Warm Krispy Kreme glazed are good, but the different options and flavors at Randy's was impressive...and delicious! We got two dozen assorted. Not having eaten here before, I asked the friendly lady to pick em out for me. She welcomed us after hearing we were Randy's virgins and popped our cherry by surprising me with huge boxes of deliciousness. Her friendly attitude earned a tip, and we were on our way. I loved that the donuts were not all over each other and getting toppings on everywhere, but I was equally impressed with the price. Sure, you can get a cheaper dozen, but not by much and it doesn't taste anywhere near as good as Randy's. Taking the kids back next week for the GIANT donut. I told em it is as big as their head. I love these doughnuts. They have a nice variety and oh so good. I do wish that they could improve their money handling as the cashiers will forget to change their gloves after handling money and punching on the iPad. They will coften continue to use dirty gloves to pick out the next customers doughnuts w those gloves. Perhaps having a designated cashier, or tongs to help w cross contamination. However the staff does respond nicely when asked to change into new gloves. I bet its human error and they don't do it on purpose. However in these times it would be more comforting to see this concern tighten up a bit. read more

We love Randy's Donuts! It's great that we don't have to drive to El Segundo or Inglewood to get them. The line is pretty long on the weekends, but I went in the late afternoon on Thursday, and I walked right in. The donuts did not disappoint, they were delicious! I placed the online order and was given a pick up time. My husband arrived on time and was only given 1/2 of the order without being notified. The super frustrating thing is that 1/2 were for my co-workers and the other 1/2 for my family. (My families order was the one that was left out) I called and the young lady who answered the phone immediately acknowledged the mistake and said they were just about to call me. She passes the phone to the manager named Rose who gets on the phone (rude) and apparently had no knowledge of what I was calling about. The way that she initially handled the situation was rude so I asked for her name and then her tone changed. She offered to refund that portion of the order. In my opinion the entire order should be refunded. This was our first time here and definitely the last. read more

My mother came in a couple days ago and had a sweet conversation with Eric while getting her donuts and coffee. Fast forward to today where there is a line out of their door on a busy Sunday. We had no problem waiting and again Eric recognizes mom from their previous conversation and asks how she's doing. Even in the middle of a rush made sure to spark that conversation. Fun and different kinds of donuts. Each donut has an individual price, which is understandable, many are crazy combinations... But... kind of pricey for a dozen donuts, $18 for the dozen we got. They also offered the two people a head of us their "free" donut flavor of the day, but then they did not offer it to us. Most of the donuts were pretty dense not light and fluffy but they were full of flavor. If you are looking for something different this is your place. read more

I had 30 minutes to spare prior to an appointment 3 days ago in Torrance so I stopped in at Randy's to ask if they had any jelly donuts (I'd been craving one since Yum Yum on 190th St closed). Not only was the answer 'yes' but they had 3 flavors of fruit filling (Yum Yum usually had only one flavor of fruit filling, and was often out of jelly donut altogether). I finally had the chance to test this place out. The place looks clean, the setup looks well prepared for business during the covid-19, the doughnuts smell and look delicious. The only really negative I saw was when i noticed the cashier that ended up assisting me. She was helping a guest before me (she was wearing gloves). I noticed she was handed a doughnut by one of her coworkers that she picked up and placed into the box and completed the transaction. During that transaction, I saw that she handled cash with those same gloves. Witnessing that defeated the purpose of the food handlers from protecting the customers from food contamination , especially with the current pandemic. Luckily I was keeping an eye on her because she ended up helping me. I was hoping she would automatically dispose of those gloves and replace them with a new pair, but she didnt and prepared a box, inserted a tissue and asked me what i would like to order. Disappointed with her decision making, I quickly requested for a glove change and new box with tissue and explained why. Afterwards everything was fine. I felt more comfortable about the rest. Improvements with employee standards and procedures are needed at this place so that we can feel safe about the food we purchase from here. What I witnessed was lazy. Utilizing tongs to grab the doughnuts would be better than having dirty cash gloves handling the food that customers will eat. All that covid-19 installation within the bakery is meaningless if the food leaves contaminated by the workers. I would have given a better rating but health standards need to be way higher and stricter especially during this pandemic. read more

I've been a Randy's Donuts (Inglewood) customer for years. As the shop got more popular, the quality of the donuts went down. After taking my daughter to the doctor, she noticed the Randy's in Torrance, and requested a donut. Because she had just been told that she had an ankle fracture, I agreed to stop and get her the donut as a treat. What a pleasant surprise! These donuts tasted like Randy's used to taste back in the day!! They were fresh and delicious. The sales associate was not overly friendly, but polite. Tried Randy's Donuts for the first time last week and OH MY GOODNESS are they delicious! I'm not sure what they do to make their raised donuts so fantastic, but whatever it is, it WORKS. They have a huge selection of donuts, both traditional flavors and some novelty ones. I really appreciate the pricing and feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck. I wasn't sure what time this place opened but I walked up at 5:59 and walked in because the door was open. The lady turns and says "I'm not open yet" and seemed irritated I was there. By the time I walked out it was 6 already (which I found out is the time they open) but I'm not going to wait around for them to decide they're ready to work. You should keep your doors locked if you don't want customers to walk in. read more
