Wow... when you offer delivery to a hotel it shouldn't take an hour and 48 minutes. Both subs were suppose to be hot and came in cold and fries were soggy and wet. Also not To mention that my fiancé is allergic to onion and it was all over his sub. Thanks for nothing Randy's we are now hoping that we can find somewhere to eat after the epi pen makes him better. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich no lettuce or tomatoes. Who likes those veggies on a cheese steak gross. It was a nice surprise that they use real philly meat I was expecting it to be roast beef. I also ordered the large Greek salad it's exactly what you see every place also very good. I had high hopes that I would find a good local non-chain pizza place, but Randy's did not measure up. Crust, cheese, and especially the sauce had little flavor - I'll be sticking to a medium-size chain place like Mellow Mushroom for much higher quality, or even a decent frozen pizza would be a step up. The pizza is good, but I won't be going back anytime soon. The service is slow. They'll tell you your pick up order will be ready in 25 minutes, and 50 minutes later you'll still be standing in line, waiting for it. Also, has anyone else noticed that the only employees wearing the "Check Out My Box" t-shirts are women? Pretty stupid for a business to be so blatantly sexist. Very good thin crust. Plenty of cheese, sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni and jalepenos. Very good visual appeal. It just looked good and tasted great. It was so good it knocked IP and Devils pizza off the top spot. I personally tipped the cook and it takes a lot for me to willingly tip. read more

I love, love,love,this place! I'm from NY and this is as close as I can find to pizza back home. The slices and pizza are very good as are the cheese sticks, and gyro. Italian sub is toasted just like back home too! Yummmmy.... Also, be sure to give the Greek dressing a try it's more like an Italian to me but it's amazing! read more

i've only been here once but, as a NJ native, i can attest to this pizza *actually* being NY style. so, naturally, i very much enjoyed it. sauce, cheese, and crust were all on point. my only qualm is that it could've been a little hotter... otherwise was quite content. it's only 11.75 for a 14" cheese pizza, which ends up being cheaper or about the same price as 2 of their pizza slice/can of soda combos, so two (very hungry) or three people can eat for $12. not too shabby. will definitely be returning. :) read more

We have visited this location off and on for years. Over that time, the quality has become inconsistent. Tonight was our LAST visit to this location. I phoned in an order...a sandwich, some wings and a couple of sides. I was told it was going to be 20-25 minutes. When I got 15 minutes later, I checked in, paid and stepped back to wait. I asked about my order after about 10 minutes later. Nope, not ready. Okay, just kept waiting directly across from the counter. About 5 minutes later, someone went up to a bag on top of the oven, whispered something to the older man (owner or manager) and he calls my name and hands me the bag. I say 'you have got to be kidding. That has been there for 15 minutes! It's going to be cold." He brushes me off. Tells me no, no. it's fine. I open it up. No, it's pretty close to room temperature (it was sitting on top of a couple of pizzas). He tells me again it's fine. I tell him that it isn't but I will take it home, reheat it but we are not coming back. The bonus? My order was wrong! Between the inconsistent quality, the wrong order and the incredibly bad customer service, this was our last visit there. read more

This has to be the worst pizza I have ever had, I mean it was nasty. I ordered a meat lovers large and it was so dry and cold. Little Ceasaes 5.00 pizza has more topping than this pizza had. I'm telling you it was nasty the toppings were brown. I ordered the garlic bread (12piece) with cheese. The rolls were hard and had one piece of cheese on the middle roll. It was like they were microwaved for about 5minutes. This was a 40.00 meal that I had to throw away. I call to complain and was hung up on. Sad service read more

Poor customer service at this location -- beware! Called Randy's at 11:06 to place an order for 3 18" pizzas for an office meeting. I was told 45 minutes for delivery, which worked perfectly for the noon meeting start time. At 12:06 however, I still had not heard from the driver. I called Randy's and was put on hold, then the call was disconnected. Sigh. I called back at 12:08 and spoke to Adam, who put me on hold to check on my order, came back to the phone and told me that my pizzas were out for delivery and that the driver would be here in a minute. At 12:21, I called again. This time I was asked by Joe if it had been more than an hour and I confirmed that it had. I was then told that they only had one driver today, that my pizzas were sitting on top of the oven (!) and that as soon as the driver returned in about 10 minutes, he would head back out with my pizzas. Wait! In my last call at 12:08, Adam indicated that the pizzas were already out the door and would be here "in a minute". Was Adam lying? Joe said he was new and was trying to help me. He asked if I would like to speak to the manager. Sure! So I was then put on hold again, and a minute later he said that the manager was too busy to come to the phone but could take $20 off my order to make things right. Wow. All I can say is WOW. This is the worst service I've had in years. I promptly cancelled my order (can't wait to see how THAT works out on my credit card!) and took my business elsewhere. What should have happened is that when I called the employee should have been honest with me that delivery might take 1.5+ hours. Instead, they have lost a customer -- at this location at least. I love my Randy's in Hope Valley and we go there 2-3 times a month! Hector is the name of the manager on duty. I hope his boss sees this and that he is counseled on the proper way to manage a pizza establishment. Seems to me that he could use a few pointers! read more

Good crust and sauce flavors but they couldn't seem to customize my order correctly and almosr sounded like it wasnt worth trying to. In the end they ended up swapping the order and giving me extra cheese and no extra sauce which was the opposite of what I asked for. We also got 4 toppings and for 4 toppings, there was really minimal amounts of them (like one whole mushroom was split between the whole pie). Overall we enjoyed the pizza and would come back but there are other locations we have closer by that have gotten things right and are just as good or better. Therefore, Randy's wouldn't warrant a revisit unless we wanted a change to a less saucy and scarcely topped pizza with too much cheese and too little sauce. Maybe I'm just not a NY pizza lover and that's the way the pie should be though so I'd still give these folks a try as again, it was a good pizza, just not the right pizza for me. read more

This pizza tasted very good, had a wiry but chewy texture, and looked very nice. The cheese was in no danger of sliding off, and the sauce was not too sweet. I ordered a spinach and garlic cheese pizza. I have to say that they did not put on much spinach and it didn't taste very garlicky to me, but it still tasted very good. My three-year old really enjoyed dipping his pizza in the tomato sauce that came with the garlic knots. When I went to pick our order up at the humble storefront, the staff was really pleasant and even sweet to some of their customers. I'm definitely going back because this is the best pizza place anywhere near my home. However, I have two complaints. One, I called at 5:40 p.m. and I got a busy signal. I called 2 more times and got a busy signal. Finally, after 3 minutes, I got through. The person on the other end had trouble hearing me. So I think that they need to fix their phone situation. My second complaint is that although I arrived exactly when they told me to, and they had just finished a fresh batch of garlic knots, all my food was lukewarm. I was so hungry that I bit into a garlic knot while I was still in my car, and I was quite surprised that it was barely warm at all. I don't understand this. Luckily, it is easy to reheat pizza and garlic knots. read more

We visit a friend in Durham a couple of times a year, and we have a tradition--the night we order Chinese food and Randy's Pizza. Will not go to Durham without getting a Randy's Pizza. I've lived in the triangle for over 15 years and eat pizza all the time. Randy's Pizza is the best NY style pizza I've found in the triangle. However, there can be significant variation among the locations and this is the best location in the Durham area. We eat in or do takeout and can't speak to delivery. The garlic knots are also good. We eat here all the time but will occasionally switch things up by getting Pizzeria Toro or Klausie's Pizza. read more

Good solid NY style slices . Service was good. Loved the guy who calls out when it's ready, with Italian , I think , accent. The Italian sausage was the kind that is in strips which I don't like cause it just falls off the slice. I think crumbled sausage bakes better onto the slice. Will go there again. read more
