Pizza was good, but cold. So Ill take the blame for not being at my desk when they tried to call to verify the order. However that's as far as it goes. once I called the store I was spoken to like a child. The lady wanted to continue to argue with me and stated the driver was at the front of the building, only later to find out he was not. He was at the rear entrance twice. even when the lady called me back to verify where the driver was she still had an argumentative belittling attitude. Once the driver finally came to the right spot, he was short no apologies or anything. basically threw the boxes and me when I reached for them. After a disappointing trip to Trophy's we wanted to get some really delicious pizza and I have been craving thin NY style pizza for awhile. This place was right near the Arboretum so we did made a day of it. The pizza is AWESOME, giant slices, bendy fold-able crust, stringy cheese with the perfect amount of cheese. Safe to say Randy's Pizza certainly satisfied my craving. The reason they are not getting 5 is only because the garlic knots are just ok, I think they might be frozen and reheated, not always a bad thing but in this case it was noticeable. I probably wouldn't get them again in the future. The sandwiches looked great, but we didn't get the opportunity to test 'em out. Maybe n our next visit... Service was good, no complaints. Best pizza place in the area. I even went to high school with the owner's kid, so I enjoy that I get to support a local business that I have a connection with in some form. The greek salad is really tasty. I'm not a salad person typically, but this one is one that I will eat again and again. I usually get pepperoni pizza or the lasagna pizza, with ricotta, basil, and meatballs, but one time they accidentally sent me the lasagna meal instead of the pizza. I called the moment I realized, and even though they were about to close, they made me my correct pizza and delivered it. I had enough food for days! Plus, the lasagna meal was actually really delicious. I work at a pizza place, and whenever people come in looking for NY style pizza, or just plain good pizza, I direct them to Randy's. I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. The slices are huge! 2 slices and drink for under 7 bucks. It's definitely the best pizza that I have found in Raleigh. This is my third time ordering from them when I come into town, and I'm here every 6 weeks. For me, there are a few categories of pizza, yes there are the styles (Chicago deep dish, NYC thin, etc), and those still apply, but for me there are the places that try to jazz up and dress up their pizzas with all kinds of fancy ingredients, and what I like to call "junk pizza". Junk pizza might not sound very flattering, but this is short for "junk food pizza", when you think of pizza, you envision a hot, cheesy slice that is as big as your face and sober or drunk, lunch or dinner, weekday with coworkers, or weekends with family, the junkfood pizza is always good. For me, Randy's is that kind of place. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the chunks of pizza were nice and large, the chicken was breaded and deep friend chicken which gave it more of that "chicken wing" type of texture, and the quantity of chicken was plentiful! The customer service was also great. I called, placed my order for my pizza and asked for extra ranch. The girl who answered asked if I wanted extra sides of ranch or extra ranch on my pizza. How nice! When I arrived to pick it up, I was offered plates, napkins and utensils. You can't ask for more from a pizza joint. Super pleased! read more

The place was packed and the crew was incredibly busy. Very polite and clearly trying their best, but when you need to cover the pizza in more cheese, add olive oil, then reheat at home it kind of defeats the purpose of getting pizza. They were also closing in 40 minutes and had orders stacked up, so I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. It'd be better if they told us how long it would take and made sure every slice/pie was done well. Instead we have three cheese slices with a quick handful of raw veggies on top. Disappointed that this pizza place will not deliver slices even if there was someone from the school who ordered a large they still wouldn't put my slice in there. They also will not deliver drinks in cups and only have bottled sodas and water for deliver. This is the second time I've been disappointed by the Wycliff shop. Pizza arrived late and cold and unsliced (really, Randy's??). It's a shame, because we've ordered and received really good N.Y. style pizza from this place. But if they're busy in any capacity the food/service becomes lackluster and sloppy. Randy's makes some pretty good NY style Pizza. I ordered one to go, veggie. Their sizing is one size up from what you expect. If you order medium, it is actually large to extra large.
