We used Eat24 to get sandwiches last night and got steak and cheese sandwiches. We had to special order one of them, and we also ordered a dessert..Their Chocolate Truffle Cake. All we can say is WOWZA great food, delivered EARLY!!!!!! and made our tummies very happy! Thank you Rapid Pizza for answering the call for hungry people on a Friday Night so fast and efficiently! They tasted fresh and well made. The bread seemed only a smidgeon overcooked but we can overlook that on the basis that they were fast and courteous! We will definitely be ordering again! We have tried several of the pizzas they have here and they are all delicious. We are big fans of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. They hand toss the crust so it's not too soggy even after travelling home, which is great! The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me is because they won't deliver to my neighborhood. I think I need to show them a different way to get there, because we are totally within 3 miles as long as you don't go the long way via highway. But what do I know? I'd dare to say this one of the top pizza's I've had in Greater Richmond. Had the pepperoni pizza and it was so good! There's something about their sauce and dough that makes their pizza so tasty. Another day I came back and had some speciality pizza and it was good as well. Tiramisu desert was pretty solid, definitely above average. If they had a better location downtown and a name that exuded the quality that they exude then I have a feeling these people would make a lot of profit and be able to open a chain. I've ordered from this place a dozen+ times and haven't reviewed it - this place owns. It's cheap, they certainly earn the title "rapid," and the pizza is good. You can see bright green chunks of fresh basil in the sauce, the chewy-crispy balance of the crust is excellent, the cheese is plentiful, the toppings flavorful and not from a can, etc., it's a solid NY style pizza. Customer service is excellent. You want your wigs extra crispy and drowning in sauce? They will do it. Light or heavy sauce? No problem. Basically every delivery or takeout request I've made they've been able to fulfill. I recently learned they do lunch specials - I think $6 for two slices and a drink if my memory serves. I had to call 6 times before someone picked up the phone to see where the delivery driver was at with my new order and they only picked up when I called from a different number(wtf). We found this lil place while driving by. It is probably the best sub shop I've ever been to. It is very clean. We were greeted by both employees when we walked it. We had calamari as an app. Pretty good. I ordered a cheese steak and Parmesan steak fries. They were fantasti. Hubby ordered Stromboli and he said it was excellent. Service was fast. Bathroom spotless. Server Matt was great. Made suggestions and checked on is often. Cook introduces himself as Villy. Said he was from Romania and told us a few stories. Great little local place! Have been in 3+ times and each time the food is great. Pizzas hot & fresh, plenty of toppings and a good tomato sauce. The Cobb salad is large and full of great toppings. Villi the owner wants to make his customers happy. My Two notes: 1. Improve the quality of the iced tea, use regular tea not green and brew it a little stronger to hold up to the ice melt. And 2. BE CAREFUL The floor is especially slippery/slick! I think you need to take the time to strip the floor of whatever wax or sealant that is on the tiles. It is incredibly dangerous, especially if it is damp or rainy. I have almost taken a spill each time I walk in, and that's even with knowing they are slippery. But!! Don't let this stop you from going to Rapid Pizza--Just be careful. read more

Update - I ordered the lunch special of two large slices and a canned soda for $5.00 as I have before but a minute before I received my food I was told that they ran out of slices so I would receive a small pizza instead. You ran out of slices? You can't make slices to order? Needless to say the small pizza was actually less pizza and seemed to skimp on the toppings when compared to my previous visits. Stopped in for dinner wanting to try a location that was not a chain. Rapid Pizza came up on Yelp with 4 stars so I figured we would try it, plus my husband was craving pizza. The look of the restaurant was nice, nothing too dramatic. The server was nice not very talkative. We ordered the Rapid Cobb Salad, small cheese pizza, and small biltmore pizza. The eggs on the Cobb salad were over cooked by the look of the gray yoke, and seemed to have been sitting around because they looked dry...needless to say I did not eat them. And to be honest, the cheese pizza didn't look freshly made, it looked like a frozen pizza they put in the oven. The one good part of the meal were the two warm freshly made dinner rolls which they doused with garlic powder. I don't think I would go back here but glad I at least gave it a try. read more

Grading the pizza here. I'll give it a so-so grade. Got a 16 inch pepperoni. One thing I will say, I'm glad I didn't go with the extra cheese. Had plenty of cheese on it as it was. We ordered dinner for take out tonight. We placed our order at 6:00. My boyfriend, John, got there to pick it up at 6:20/6:25 as the site said the order would be ready in 20 mins. When he first got there, he was told the order would be right out- but it wasn't. It took until 7:30 for them to complete the order. When he got home (it's only a 5 minute drive)- the food was inedible and we were missing two parts of our order. The sub and burger were thoroughly soggy and cold. We ordered delivery through eat streets tonight. The delivery time was suppose to be 40-60 min, but it arrived in about 1hr 25 min. The driver was very nice and polite, he called us twice to get directions so at least we knew the food was going to arrive. This is my second time using good eats and both times it arrived very very late, which has caused both of the restaurants food to not tastes as good as I imagine it could in the restaurant or if it was fresher/warmer. Our 3 pizzas were luke warm and a little chewy...one was a little burnt on the crust, burgers were a little mushy, the wings were good no mushy at all despite arriving room temp. I will try this restaurant again if I am out in the area to dine in, I don't think I will delivery in the future. read more

Love this place because they deliver to both my workplace and my home. The Sicilian pizza is my favorite, but they're not kidding, it's HUGE. So recently I decided to order the RVA BBQ Chicken pizza, and I was NOT disappointed. Delicious. I was a little worried about it not having cilantro as a topping (a MUST for a good BBQ Chicken pizza), but the addition of tomato added a unique type of freshness that I didn't expect. The chicken was well seasoned and tender (not just your typical, probably frozen strips of chicken either. REAL STUFF). The tiramisu was, most likely, not made in house, but it was still decent for what it was (though a bit expensive for such a tiny piece). Always a fan. The subs are amazing... especially the bread they use (and we know the bread makes the sub). Pizza is also good, along with the amazing little garlic parm bread they give you for free (during dinner service). If you try the spicy chicken sub, be prepared it is extremely hot and tasty. It is the best Gluten free pizza, I get the Greek pizza toppings! It is the size of a medium pizza and it is a little more than regular Gluten free pizzas at other restaurants. But it is worth the splurge everyone once in a while! read more
