Experience from Sunday, February 07, 2021: I am giving this place two stars solely due to the fact that the selection being so great and our order being delicious. Customer service is very important, especially nowadays during this pandemic. When my friend and I arrived, we were not greeted or even acknowledged for that matter. There were two customers standing off to the side who were waiting for their order and one of the employees was preparing it, but that shouldn't have prevented her from at least saying hello or that she would be right with us. My friend and I walked up to the register and looked at the menu and waited for about 10 minutes. Within the 10 minutes, we saw another employee peek out once from the back and head back in with no acknowledgment, as well. 5 minutes later, the employee from the back comes out, chats briefly with the other employee who was making the orders and then reluctantly takes our order. The customers before us received their order and were thanked and told to have a good evening. As soon as we paid, she hastily returned to the back without saying anything, not even something like "your order will be ready in a few minutes." My friend and I stood off to the side and another customer walks in. He is greeted by a warm welcome by the employee making the orders, and the other employee comes out from the back and greets him as well. Slightly off put by this, my friend and I step outside to wait for our order and as we look inside, the two employees are immersed in a conversation with the customer that entered after us. When our order was ready, they waved to us from inside so my friend and I entered, grabbed our order and thanked them. The two employees gave us no acknowledgment nor farewell. My friend and I have never felt so unwelcome or insignificant in an establishment. It was an awful experience with these two employees. We may return again if we are ever in the area to give it a second shot as far as customer service goes but it was really unpleasant. read more

The service here is really awful. The cashier girl was pretty rude and somewhat incompetent. There are a bunch of flavors but the descriptions leave much for interpretation...for example, the besafresa shaved ice description: "just imagine a lime giving a strawberry a spicy kiss" um so wtf does that taste like?! Might as well call it lemon foreplay with strawberry jizz. When we asked the cashier girl for a flavor we saw on one of the yelp pictures she responded simply with, "Spanish." No, that wasn't a question. So when I asked in Spanish she just looked at me blankly then looked down at her belly. Ok I get that it's boiling in here and you might be pregnant and moody but can you please just tell me what the fuck flavors you have that are most popular without making me feel like I've just killed your first born...especially because this frozen ice costs 5 bucks a pop. The wait to order is pretty long plus it takes even longer to actually get your shaved ice. It's really hot inside and there is little sitting room. The shaved ice is ok...a little too syrupy for my taste. FYI it says that they close at 10 on yelp but we are currently sitting outside and it's 9'o clock and they've locked their doors. When I first started visiting this place orders seemed to take forever! I mean if I wanted a regular raspado it would be looking at a fifteen minute wait. Over time, the speed has definitely increased! My personal fav is the strawberry topped with sweet condensed milk and slices of strawberries. I came here to get bionico on my own and wanted to state that I erroneously said it came with yogurt....but I was wrong. The lady behind the counter said "crema" so it's heavy creamed whipped with sugar and maybe some strawberry? Not healthy at all. But delicious. I asked for it on the side and added just a little bit. Still really fresh and delicious for a hot day and reasonably priced. ($5 for a container full of fresh cut fruit). My only complaints: not sure if she washed her hands after handling money...but I think maybe she did and I just didn't see it? And not the friendliest lady but I did cause her trouble speaking really bad broken Spanglish and made her make change for me. She asked the usual questions, my name, carrier company name, etc then walked away without letting me know what the status of my order was - in fact it seemed like they weren't even aware that there were orders being placed for pick-up. I waited as they finally started my order. When they finally finished, the orders were all wrong. The raspados were missing toppings as noted in the instructions and the esquite was missing chili powder. Never coming back to this location. Been coming here since I was in high school (~12 yrs) it's always been a hit or miss since the remodeling. I keep going because who doesn't want a Raspado on a hot day... so, why 1 star now? Customer service and again hit or miss - I went today and there were around 6-7 people waiting inside for their order. When I was done ordering there were 3ppl inside besides me and my mom. The lady at the register told me and my mom that one of us had to wait outside. When I told her we could stand in the corner away from everyone cus it was too hot outside she said no, "only one person per order get to wait inside " when I pointed out that there was already two people per order waiting inside she still said no. Tried to reassure us that the couple after us would also have to wait outside- this was not my point. There was enough room for us and the next couple to wait inside. I had Raspado Xpress cater a company event! I'll start from the beginning, it was easy getting in touch with them to receive a quote and they sent it to me very fast. I had a million questions about set-up and payment and about the menu... and let me tell you, they addressed all of my concerns. Omar Limon was fantastic to work with, he was very kind and patient and extremely helpful. It was very easy to place a reservation, provide payment, and review details with him. For both days of the event, it went fantastic! Their employees were on time, friendly, helpful, and cheerful when serving our 400 guest. Also, the raspados looked amazing!! All of our staff enjoyed them and requested to have them back soon! Lastly, because we have many shifts, it meant that the event would need to go until 12:00 am and it did, they definitely worked with our schedule. I was very impressed, not a lot of companies provide that kind of service. I wanted Raspado Xpress at the event because it would be something new and fun! and it truly was, they were very impressive and I received a lot of positive feedback.
