This place was not raspado ice - Huge ice chunks that were too hard to chew i had to keep scooping them out. So I was just sipping on syrup with ice. I don't know what's wrong with this location, but this isn't what I'm used to of Raspado express.

Raspado Xpress is down the street from "Super Torta" and apparently another hang out of Yelp's Homegirl Violy..... Was full from the Torta and Nachos so just wanted to come check this spot out and sample what they have, will definitely be heading back to check out their wide variety of Raspados! Bionico's are more than chopped up fruit, it'a also about the Crema and up until now "Bionicos La Palapa" has been my favorite, I must say while I didn't get a Bionico, the crema here at Raspado Xpress is top notch! So I got 3 raspados and 2 esquites... but the esquites are raw, the corn it's hard uncooked. I'm calling but they won't answer...

I haven't been to Raspado Xpress in a while, I recently went on Tuesday and I wouldn't go back. The prices are reasonable for the size of raspados but for what they give no, the drink was filled with the flavor of raspado wanted but hardly even any ice and I nicely asked the lady for more ice and she hesitated. I had also ordered a churro and let me just say nothing like the picture they have, it looks like they made it with the pillsbury sheets. Over all a bad experience and everything I had bought went straight to the trash, please do better!

People on these reviews are trippin, this place was BOMB! It's definitely NOT fancy and on a little ghetto street (it's LA, everything good is on a little ghetto street) you can take to go, or enjoy it there on some benches. 5 drinks were 20$, and worth every penny! I got the spicy "Chamango" (4.50) and the mango was perfectly ripe and PLENTY in the cup. It's honestly a meal within itself because you get so full with one drink. What I liked most, was the spice to the Chamango, was the perfect level! It was not overly spicy, and the sweet level to the drink was also perfect with not being overly sweet, which is what usually happens at most raspado places. I'll definitely be returning to try all the other things. They even have a Mexican corn bowl for 3$ and fruit bowls w/cottage cheese for 4$ If you're in the area, and it's hot as hell like usual, definitely try this place! (;

I got the fruit bowl! They only have: mango, jicama, pineapple, watermelon, and cucumber as the fruit options. Unfortunately they don't have coconut like street fruit carts. Also their chili powder is not tajin FYI Nonetheless fresh, crisp, fruit.

My husband has been going on and on about how good this place is. I finally was able to taste for myself and it was delicious. I got what I think is called the besafresca which is a strawberry limeade with a bit of spice and it was delicious!! It was so refreshing and flavorful. Also I don't know how they do it but the drinks are made super fast!!! I used to go to a similar place and it was always a long wait, I appreciated the quick service.

Only reason why I'm giving it a one is because I'm kind of upset. We came 7 minutes before they closed. There was one person ordering. We walked in and the guy said they're closed. How? That's not how business' work. If your sign says 8:30. You close at 8:30. They must have also stopped making certain things because the girl who was ordering stormed out with nothing. I ordered a chamarindo. I received a chamango asked to get it swapped and they didn't even bother to remake it. They just removed the chili on top and did not replace this. The lady who gave me my raspado said sorry not sure why when she didn't even bother to get me the proper raspado. read more

So I'm always craving their " Strawberry Raspado " I get none of that leche crap, but with extra Strawberries. I give the Raspado's 5 Star all across but this review is for my last time coming. I'm Mexican American, 4th generation. My parents messed up and did not teach me Spanish. I know It's unfortunate as hell, but I'm starting to learn and actually try to speak it any chance I get . My boyfriend and I decide to hit up this place because it was 100 + degrees outside and I was craving one. * JESSICA GETS WHAT JESSICA WANTS * We had our furr baby with us so I told my boyfriend to wait in the car while I go and order them to go. The lady in front of me ordering where chatting it up with the cash register, having a jolly ol' time talking about how she had a coupon for a free raspado. ( I can understand Spanish BOOM ) It's my turn I ordered my raspado and my man's and the lady looks at me in disgust because how I spoke ). I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life, I felt like she was not even listening to what I had to say, but instead staring me down. I paid and stood there as I waited her to ask for my name, nothing . She went to the back then brought some other girl to the front and stared me down for about 1-2 minutes. * AWKWARD * My order was ready and because the rude lady didn't ask my name the other sweet lady had to call out my order. I usually love this place but I had the rudest customer experience in here. I went in to order an esquite and I told the lady NO chile and to please drain all the water out of the corn. When my order was ready, I grabbed it and left home . Upon opening it at home I noticed a whole bunch of chile and the cup was overflowing w water . I immediately called to complain and the lady rudely said "why didn't you tell us when you were here" I explained that I had just gotten my order and left to which she replied with a dry ass "sorry" . When I proceeded to ask what she could do for me , she hung up on me . When I called back, no answer . This solidified my decision in ever going back . I love this place!! But today I was calling and calling to place my order and no answer so I walked in and order I asked the girl taking my order if there phone was working "She said yes but there not answering because then there not able to charge with the ATM machine" I was waiting on my order and The phone starts ringing and the cashier just picked up the phone and hung up, that's just BAD customer service..! The girl that was getting my order ready had an attitude she was not even smiling she's so rude, come on if you don't like your job don't work there.. I'm at the location, came all the way to buy a juice, there's still more than 30 mins for them to close and the guys looked at each other and said they're not making juice anymore because they're almost closed. Came here to try the place out, so here's a list of the things that bothered me: parking was in a very tight area, the iced wasn't shaved more like chunks of ice, no fruit in mine, and the wait was long when no one was around. Will not be coming back. read more

This place is bomb the prices are more similar to Jamba Juice then regular elotero man selling raspados. I would recommend getting sum water on the side cuz like it's super sweet by the end making u feel Iike u drank a cup of diabetes by the end of it lol read more

My co-worker introduce me to this place. These raspados are delicious. We had a chamarindo and it was the best raspado i ever tried. The service was fast and most importantly their customer service was amazing. The lady was really nice. I will be back soon to try new flavors :) read more

Their Yelp hours stated 10pm. Came at 9pm they were closed. I called them and asked if they can let me in because I drove from Glendale. They said no. As a restaurant owner I find it irresponsible. Every business owner should have their Yelp business app on their phone. It takes 2 seconds to change business hours. Accommodating to customers is key for a successful business. I will never return. I like raspado express a lot but whenever I come there's always a packed lobby and at least a 15 minute wait for a single drink, and 1 worker trying to take orders and make then at the same time. Other than that I love this place and it's menu. Favorite drink: chamango read more

I came with my friends to get a raspado at 9:30pm and when we got there the lady say it was close and she close the business on our face, we ask her if she could help us and she didn't even bother she just say it was close when on you guys website it shows you guys close at 10 not 9:30, I will like response from some manager explaining this deal of closing 30min prior what your business website and yelp says read more

This place still sucks with their customer service, the owner needs to put his workers on check. If it ever changes with new staff, I will go back. For now, I recommend to go some place else where you will be treated better and be satisfied with your purchase. Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else. I went on a Friday night at 830 and it was closed! I was so pissed, but I had to try it and went back early on a Sunday. The pina chili raspado was delicious. This would be a five star place if they were open when yelp said they would be, if parking and location weren't such a pain, and if they accepted credit cards. read more

They really need help here standing in line for more then 15 mins with idk maybe 5 people ahead of me ... they take their time ... at first only 1 person working she's not in a rush at all then a while after a 2nd person comes in .. and I'm thinking they would go somewhat fast and still not much faster ... I could have jumped behind the counter and did a faster and better job then them and they work here ... get ur stuff together ur a business working out of a store not working out of ur apt... really shouldn't take that long to shave ice and put toppings ... very disappointed .... the guy walking around the park can serve 10 x more then the people here and he's walking around all day and by himself!!! Wow. Call ahead of time to check if they're still open. Arrived at 9:40 for some raspados and they were closed. I waved at the workers and they gave me the "sorry we're closed" sign. I understand cleaning up 5 minutes before. But 20?!???? Never going here again. I suggest the owner be clear on their hours. read more

This is my preferred location. The only fault I see is parking, but other than that you can call in for pick up and they'll have it done in less time than suggested. I've been to this location long before they remodeled it the second time and they've always been clean and friendly. read more

I love Bionico's! But my bf really loves them, now that I've introduced him to them. This place was ok. But we also ordered the Crepes with Strawberries & Nutel which was FRESHLY MADE AND AWESOME!!! Established in 2002.

The Raspado business started in a cart in the city of Pacoima, accross the street from our current location there. After family problems, Mom, and son joined forces. With the help of family and friends, began to build with their own hands, and tears, what is now RaspadoXpress in Laurel Canyon and Osborne in the same city.

Hopefully they will be edible. The young gentleman who got my order ready was a sweetheart, so I will say one nice thing. After the overwhelming garlic smell, the mess I had to clean up because of all of that leaked oil and my disgust with the waste of money, I ended up having watermelon at home for dinner.

First, let's talk about the Café de Olla. We ordered two, and WOW. It's their signature coffee, brewed with cinnamon, raw Mexican brown sugar, and spices. We normally drink our coffee black, but this was easily one of the best coffees I've ever had. Seriously, do not skip the coffee here! For breakfast, we ordered two dishes and shared everything. We had the Breakfast Skillet, loaded with country potatoes, eggs, bell peppers, mozzarella, fresh avocado, and ranchero sauce. We also ordered the Chilaquiles à la Bandera -- crispy tortilla chips with half tossed in their green salsa and the other half in red salsa, topped with mozzarella, Mexican cream, Cotija cheese, and eggs. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. And because we needed something sweet, we added the Crunchy French Toast Sticks, drizzled with caramel and Lechera. SO GOOD and the perfect sweet addition to our breakfast. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! The service deserves its own mention. Our server, Liliana, was an absolute doll! She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She helped us decide what to order based on her own favorites and recommendations, and everything she suggested was spot on. Maybe they were short staffed- idk. Didn't bother me. Parking in the lot and street. Don't think there will be a big issue.

all you have to do is see the other 5 star ratings for this place...! im not gonna explain what a raspado is, look at Oliver S' post. but in short, on a hot summer day, or like tonight, a chilly californian winter, my fave is the yellow cherry / pineapple. my 2nd fave is, uhm, i dunno what they call it but if you've had the mango lollipop candy with chile on it, yeah that one, they make a raspado of that too...! be careful cuz my 1st sip i got a ton of chile in mouth...! this place will make you happy, your tummy even happier...! guarantee that...! & if you dont like it well,.. um i guess its 31 flavors for ya then eh...? read more

I wish I could give 0 stars ! This is the second time something happens to me coming here. First they had a crazy guy just wandering outside of their store and he grabbed me!! And today The guy worker there with colored eyes and a dweeb ass hair cut is such an asshole! I have always been so in love with Mexican candy since I was young. Living in Los Angeles it was always around and I always had a tooth for it. I was told about this place by a friend so I came out with my sister to try it. It was so good!! I got the mango diablo raspado with the Mexican candy straw and my sister got the tamarind raspado. We actually loved it and even got it despite the fact that it was a bit chilly outside. They have great flavor and it actually tastes like real fruit as opposed to artificial syrup like most places have. read more

I am a huge fan of Respado's, however I am not impressed at all with this place. there is usually a line, which makes you think it will be good. I have been here twice and both times were just ehhh. First of at the place is not clean, the tables are sticky and both times has filthy floors. There service is slow and the Chamango was not as good as other places I have been. The only reason i am giving them two stars is because the lady who helped us was very nice. I would not recommend this place, because there is much better out there. read more

This is probably my favorite raspado place in my neighborhood ! The prices might be a bit pricey but the overall quality of the products is amazing! My girlfriend always comes home with these and she gets me a spicy one with strawberries in it and some other one called and chamango. This is the place to be during the summer! read more
