Hubby and I stopped in for lunch. They didn't have a lunch menu, so we ordered off the dinner menu and ended up having leftovers. Our service was a cool guy! I had the stuffed chicken breast and Hubby had the Andouille sausage. The appetizer was basically hush puppies with a little kick.

Late post... After celebrating Bella Blu's birthday, my friend wanted me to check out Razzoo's Cajun Café in Round Rock, TX...my first visit. Razzoo's features Louisiana style flavors and a fun, high energy atmosphere. OMG...the colorful décor and upbeat vibe will make you feel like you are truly in New Orleans, LA (NOLA). The restaurant is filled with NOLA type artifacts...neon lighting, paintings, license plates, Mardi gras items, etc. to name just a few. It feels like a party environment. Important to note, they allow dogs on the outside patio. The menu features classic Cajun and Creole comfort food, with plenty of seafood options and hearty portions. For example, you can find dishes like crawfish étouffée, jambalaya pasta, fried catfish, and stuffed shrimp on their menu. My friend ordered 3 pounds of crawfish. Wow...girlie...that's a lot of crawfish. She took 2 pounds of crawfish home with her. In fact, she showed me the proper way to break off the tail and then devein the crawfish before eating them. Well, in full transparency, it looked like too much work for me. I ordered the Hurricane BBQ salmon which was accompanied with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Now, about the bread pudding...that was literally the best bread pudding we have ever eaten. It was a substantial size chalked full of pecans and peaches (yes! peaches). Every bite was better than the last one. We were both pleased with our selections. Bella drank water and chilled. We both ordered drinks...my friend ordered the Bayou Berry Fizz and I ordered the Worm Warmer, which comes with gummy worms. Like NOLA, you can taste the alcohol in the drinks...very strong. We both only had one drink. Kudos to the mixologist! Let's talk about service...one word...excellent! Ezequiel, our main server, was very friendly and attentive. Jerrick, one of the managers, inquired about our dining experience. Jerrick was Texas friendly and super personable. You do not find this level of service every day. Thank you! Razzoo's also has a happy hour Mon-Fri with reduced menu items. The service, food and drinks were excellent at Razzoo's. My friend and I will likely return when I'm in Round Rock again.

We visited here a couple of times and the food always has tasted great! The service has been pretty good too. The one thing we have noticed is the kitchen doesn't always send out completed dishes, so occasionally we were missing an ingredient or a side to the dish.

The host in training Michael was excellent .He helped us find good choices for lunch. Very attentive as well.

Never had a bad experience until yesterday. Got my food to go and when I finally got around to eating it found a piece of glass in my food. Bit down on it and hurt my teeth so did not finish the rest. Our service while in the restaurant was great. Previous visits have always enjoyed my food. Hoping this was just a fluke.

Razzoo's is a nice spot to visit during lunch or happy hour. We sat in the bar area which wasn't too noisy, and everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals as well. Our bartender Ana made our visit very pleasant and made some of the best drinks. The food was good and we will definitely return.

Razzoo's!!!! I decided to stop in to grab lunch. Your lunch vibes are chill. The customer service was on point every one welcomes me in and showed me a great deal for lunch! I got a Shrimp basket with gumbo and sweet tea. Everything was delish. My lil big baby ate every drop of the gumbo she loved the meats and spice level. The shrimp, hush puppies and fries were all seasoned perfectly and fried to perfection.

I ordered catfish via DoorDash and was underwhelmed. The food was good but the portion was disappointing. The only thing missing from this plate is garlic bread

Our leftovers (Rat Toes and Étouffée).

This is a good place to eat Cajun food. We ordered 2 appetizers ( Rats Toes & Fried Pickle Slices) and a Margarita on the rocks and Iced Tea. They were delicious and refreshing. For our main course, my wife ordered the Grilled Maui and I ordered a Cajun Crawfish Étouffée. Both dishes were very tasty. The portions are very generous. We had some leftovers to take home. Our hostess and server were very friendly, courteous and polite. Our server/waitress was on top of things. She was very prompt on taking our drink, appetizers and food orders. As well as bringing them out to us in a very timely manner. We never had to ask for any refills or anything because she kept coming over and checking on us. The restaurant was very clean from the table, chairs and floors. The restroom was also very clean. The restaurant had the aroma of Cajun spices and seasoning. Great atmosphere! We live about 40 minutes away and we will be returning customers. I recommend this place for good ole Cajun food.

We heard about their crawfish deals and had to see if it was true. It was, which made it worth the drive to round rock, especially with the happy hour beer prices! Mudbugs were kinda small, but it is still kinda early in the season I suppose. If you're in the area, check them out!

Not bad if you can't make it to New Orleans. Typical Cajun style restraint nothing really to brag about.

Went tonite for our weekly date nite; first visit to Georgie's though we've been in Georgetown…read moresince 2003. Saw the name when searching seafood here. The website mentioned reservations but accepting walk-ins also; my wife made a reservation for 8 at 7:40p, and that turned out well, as the couple in front of us hadn't done so & went out front to wait. We had a very attentive waitress, & sat on a raised stage by the window which was cool, but note: tall chairs there maybe not great for short legs. When she poured our water we didn't have to request, she left the carafe, which I supposed was a labor saving idea --until she came back repeatedly and refilled our glasses with it! It aided our date night that the two flat screens had artworks displayed not a basketball game or Chive videos of folks getting injured for 15 seconds of fame. Menu is in the upper middle price range for us but we did an easy work-around to get some upscale food, anyway:: We ordered a bowl of gumbo from the appetizer list, with two spoons; (yeah, been married 41 years)... Arrived perfect temp, not to hot to dig right in. The 6 crab claws broken to expose the meat were a nice touch we've never seen; we try everyone's gumbo: prolly the best we've had recently if ever. Continuing that theme, we shared the 14 oz Japanese style (name recipes me) new horn strip, truly too much for one normal appetite: the already flavorful tender steak was helped even more by a unique brown sauce with capers: and my Dad said a good steak doesn't NEED any help. Well, this steak was so good let's just say "the sauce was gravy." We like Brussels sprouts broiled; so my wife asked when ordering the steak, which comes with creamed sprouts, if they could be broiled: instead our waitress asked the chefs who actually flash fried them with salt and pepper, perfectly, with crunchy outer leaves & al dent inside. My wife ordered a 14.00 glass of Pinot noir; the cool wine glass was a generous size --and filled generously. We like the pretentious wine descriptions from the backs of bottles; bartender let us take a photo of the label but suggested the "vivino" app to get the lowdown on any wine. Finished off sharing the bread pudding with rum soaked yellow raisins, great flavor without excess sweetness, and thanked our waitress Katy.

If you are from the Gulf Coast, you're likely to be unimpressed with The Bayou Shack in Round Rock…read more The service is great, but the execution of the menu is just okay. As Cajun/Creole transplants, we just had to give this place a try for Saturday lunch in November 2024. I suspect we'll stick with our other reliable sources for "a taste of home". If I lived nearby, I could see coming back for the cheap beer ($4 Dos XX at the time of purchase; with today's inflation & tariff talks, that price may not hold) and tavern ambiance, sticking to the pub-fare menu items. We always test a new Louisiana-inspired joint by 3 things: seafood boil, po-boy, and gumbo. By comparison, our longtime genre faves in the area that succeed on all 3 include Stuffed Cajun Meat Market, French Quarter Grille, Crawfish Shack, Deckhand Oyster Bar, and Cypress Grill. Right off the bat, the $7 cup of gumbo at Bayou Shack was a headshaker. Seasoning was weird, and it had a thick, gravy-like consistancy more like an etouffee. Strike 1. Next up, hub's $14 fried catfish poboy with Cajun spice-dusted fries. Nothing terrible here, but it was the typical not-in-LA poboy that tastes like a sandwich made by someone who does not eat poboys. Bread was a right-out-of-the-bag hoagie roll, not the crispy-on-the-outside, light-and-fluffy-on-the-inside Leidenheimer, Gendusa, or Langlinais-style, toasted french bread loaf that it should be. Strike 2. My $21 "Build Your Boil" half-pound "Bottom of the Bayou" flavor snow crab boil was pretty good, although I was offended to pay an extra $3 for the addition of a single red potato. The nicest part was the provision of proper boil-eating tools, including gloves, a bib, shell crackers, and crab leg pick, plus lemons and melted butter for dipping. I'll have to come back during crawfish season to see what I think of their offerings for that kind of boil, since the boil is where they seem to do best. Our waiter was wonderful but we didn't have the heart to tell him the truth when he asked what we thought of each dish. Our total for 3 meals at lunch before tip was $75, a bit over-the-top. $15 for chicken tenders and $5 for Sysco fries? Yikes!

Popped in on a whim after shopping at Old Navy a few doors down. VIBE: Very pleasant seafood restaurant vibe. I didn't feel like I was inside a massive shopping center -- it had a nice seaside charm. At the same time, it was very welcoming and unpretentious. Casual, not at all stuffy in any way. MENU/FOOD: Great! Ample diversity. Whether you want to stuff your face full of fried food or eat healthy, they've got it. I had the Omega Bowl (salmon + rice + veggies) and it was delicious. We also shared the coconut shrimp -- really good. I almost forgot -- my kid's burger came with French fries and they were great -- I stole most of them. KIDS: At first, it didn't seem like a particularly kid-friendly spot (I didn't actually see any other kids there during brunch on a Sunday). However, we felt very welcome with our two toddlers (3.5 and 1.5). They have high chairs and a kids menu (a mix of fried seafood and usual stuff like hamburger). Additionally, both our waitress and the manager (who were extremely kind and understanding) both mentioned having kids as well. SERVICE: Excellent. Our waitress (Sarah, I believe) was very nice and attentive. The manager stopped by to see how we were doing -- also very nice. The hostess? I'll let you guess... also very nice. Even held the door for me when I was leaving since I had a small baby stroller (believe it or not, that's somewhat rare).

It was a little intimidating but mostly exciting. The vibe here was mostly straight business. Waiters standing around like in a military stance, legs shoulder width apart, hands behind their backs waiting for any signs from their tables needing anything. I will keep it 100 and say that our waiter wasn't exactly warm and inviting but they were attentive. The atmosphere is decorated ornately and kinda made me feel like an emperor of sorts, or at least some random squire in the court. We ordered an absolute feast ranging from chicken tikka masala, to garlic naan, rice, samosas, a fresh mango yogurt drink and some flavored tea. Everything was delicious and jam packed with spices. This was one of the few restaurant experiences I've had in the past couple years where I gorged beyond my usual limit bc it was THAT good. My one minor complaint is the chicken tikka masala was more sauce than actual chicken which I found somewhat annoying but I quickly forgave them. The bill came soon after I requested it and the price was fair considering the quality of food we got was top notch. This place has got it going on like a fine lady from Beverly Hills but as you'd expect some attitude from a gorgeous lass that knows she's got it going on, the same can be said for a great restaurant. Ignore the 'tude and come enjoy the grub, it's worth it.
