Stopped by to get a little Cajun food fix and Razoo's definitely delivered. My standard appetizer of the Boudin balls was better than my last several visits. The last few times they have been overly dense, but this visit they were lightly breaded and very tasty but full of flavor and stuffing of that Boudin deliciousness. For my entrée, I went with the catfish basket. Fresh fluffy delectable, catfish. A cocktail and tartar sauce that accompanied the basket were a wonderful addition The half a ear of corn - was satisfying. A nice Cajun cook on it. I just wish there was more of it. The french fries were a little soggy and not fried to a crisp, but still had an OK flavor. I just wish they were crispy. The jalapeño cornbread was a little of a disappointment super small and very bready Service was strong, he kept good contact, kept my beverage of choice full, despite being the only bartender in wait staff in the bar area. A little bit of a mixed experience at Razo's. We walked in around 7:00 on a Friday night to a mostly empty restaurant, but there was no one at the door to greet or seat us. After standing there for close to five minutes, we were honestly about to leave when someone who appeared to be a manager finally came over and got us to a table. The whole front-of-house operation just felt surprisingly disorganized for a Friday night. Once we were seated, our waitress was perfectly fine and took good care of us. The food was hit or miss. The fries arrived cold, and the fried pickles were dense and pretty flavorless. The shrimp po'boy was decent, but the seafood gumbo had an odd flavor that just didn't work for me. There's potential here, and nothing was bad enough to ruin the evening, but the experience could use some tightening up--especially at the front door and with consistency coming out of the kitchen. read more

I went back and forth about writing this review because I really wanted to give Razzoos the benefit of the doubt, but I also have to be honest about my experience. Razzoos has been my go-to spot when I'm craving catfish, so I stopped by on a Friday night. Since I was dining alone, I decided to sit at the bar. Unfortunately, both sides of the bar were a complete mess old plates, cups, and leftover items everywhere. I found a spot that looked like the "cleanest" option and asked the bartender if they were closed or about to close. He said no, so I was already disappointed because there were no other customers sitting at the bar and no effort was made to clean the area. I sat there for about 10 minutes, trying to figure out why no one had asked if I wanted water or even noticed the mess. Finally, I cleaned the area myself, moving dishes and stacking everything out of the way. Then another bartender came over and asked, "Have you been helped? That was after sitting there 10 min "Umm... no, but can I please get a WATER? I placed my order and ordered a drink, but my water never came. Then another customer (or employee) came up talking about a dirty glass. The bartender looked at it, grabbed another glass, and put the dirty one in the sink. Now I'm sitting here thinking, so I'm not imagining things... y'all are really handing out dirty glasses? He then he grabbed another glass and made another drink, which definitely had me questioning what was going on and if my glass was even clean. My food finally arrived, and I will say the catfish was hot and tasty because that's why Razzoos is usually my spot. But the service and cleanliness really ruined the experience. The bartender kept looking over at me without saying anything, which honestly started to feel uncomfortable. Still no water. Still no one cleaned the bar. I finally started packing up because I was ready to leave. Funny enough, as soon as I started getting ready to go, cleaning finally started happening. So I'm left wondering... was the bar waiting for me to leave before it got cleaned? There were two entire sides of the bar that needed attention, and no one noticed that I had already cleaned my own area and moved everything out of the way. I'm truly disappointed because this was my go-to place for catfish. The food was good, but the lack of cleanliness and customer service made me think twice about coming back. Not a good look. Late post... After celebrating Bella Blu's birthday, my friend wanted me to check out Razzoo's Cajun Café in Round Rock, TX...my first visit. Razzoo's features Louisiana style flavors and a fun, high energy atmosphere. OMG...the colorful décor and upbeat vibe will make you feel like you are truly in New Orleans, LA (NOLA). The restaurant is filled with NOLA type artifacts...neon lighting, paintings, license plates, Mardi gras items, etc. to name just a few. It feels like a party environment. Important to note, they allow dogs on the outside patio. The menu features classic Cajun and Creole comfort food, with plenty of seafood options and hearty portions. For example, you can find dishes like crawfish étouffée, jambalaya pasta, fried catfish, and stuffed shrimp on their menu. My friend ordered 3 pounds of crawfish. Wow...girlie...that's a lot of crawfish. She took 2 pounds of crawfish home with her. In fact, she showed me the proper way to break off the tail and then devein the crawfish before eating them. Well, in full transparency, it looked like too much work for me. I ordered the Hurricane BBQ salmon which was accompanied with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Now, about the bread pudding...that was literally the best bread pudding we have ever eaten. It was a substantial size chalked full of pecans and peaches (yes! peaches). Every bite was better than the last one. We were both pleased with our selections. Bella drank water and chilled. We both ordered drinks...my friend ordered the Bayou Berry Fizz and I ordered the Worm Warmer, which comes with gummy worms. Like NOLA, you can taste the alcohol in the drinks...very strong. We both only had one drink. Kudos to the mixologist! Let's talk about service...one word...excellent! Ezequiel, our main server, was very friendly and attentive. Jerrick, one of the managers, inquired about our dining experience. Jerrick was Texas friendly and super personable. You do not find this level of service every day. Thank you! We visited here a couple of times and the food always has tasted great! The service has been pretty good too. The one thing we have noticed is the kitchen doesn't always send out completed dishes, so occasionally we were missing an ingredient or a side to the dish. read more

This is a good place to eat Cajun food. We ordered 2 appetizers ( Rats Toes & Fried Pickle Slices) and a Margarita on the rocks and Iced Tea. They were delicious and refreshing. For our main course, my wife ordered the Grilled Maui and I ordered a Cajun Crawfish Étouffée. Both dishes were very tasty. The portions are very generous. We had some leftovers to take home. Our hostess and server were very friendly, courteous and polite. Our server/waitress was on top of things. She was very prompt on taking our drink, appetizers and food orders. As well as bringing them out to us in a very timely manner. We never had to ask for any refills or anything because she kept coming over and checking on us. The restaurant was very clean from the table, chairs and floors. The restroom was also very clean. The restaurant had the aroma of Cajun spices and seasoning. Great atmosphere! We've been a frequent customer over the years. Something has changed recently. No one greeted us at the door, nor did anyone come to seat us in spite of the sign asking patrons to wait to be seated. We finally went in and found someone to seat us. Then we had to wait quite a while to place our orders. Then it took lot longer than usual for them to come out. It was 45 minutes from door to food on table in an almost empty restaurant. When the food finally arrived, the catfish was hot, but the fries and shrimp were cold. To top it all off we had to track down our wait person to pay our bill. I don't know if this is something with just this one location or if this is related to the acquisition by M Crowd. Note to all crawfish eaters. Razzoos had them babies at 2 lbs for 10 bucks. Although the math says 5 bucks a pound, Razzoos don't see it that way. So just go with it. It's an excellent price for boiled Cajun crawfish especially in the middle of crawfish season. I couldn't pass that offer although you must order it by even numbers. Crazy but you can't make this stuff up. Unfortunately my fellow crawfish engulfers, I can tell you from my recent visit that there is no way those crawfish were purged. Them babies were to date in my experience the very worse crawfish I've ever had. They were a good size, and looked flavorful but you can season a dirty crawfish as much as you want, but dirt is still dirt and grass is still grass and gross is still gross. Also note that this place is very... (Hmm... How can I say) ... CRAMPED. Which means no matter where you sit, if you raise a hand to wave or accidentally yawn and stretch you may very well knock out your neighbor sitting next to you at another table. Management need to rethink so many tables in such a small space. Also note for real drinkers out there, your base alcohol is going to be extremely cliche or stereotypical or both. Meaning Hennessy or Crown or Remy or... You get the point, right? Their drinks do look pretty yet sweet, but the ingredients could use an upgrade. In short. I'm not a fan of Razzoos. Perhaps maybe it's just this location. It's totally ruining the Razzoos name if you ask me. Food quality is bad, and service is actually pretty horrible. Staff wasn't rude or anything like that, but just absent. Inattentive. I will not return to this location nor recommend it. Not from that horrible visit I had. The place just appears to be ran with zero care to the facilities or customers. It's very unappealing to me especially for such a great area of town. Seated quickly, we ate in the bar. Our server Michael helped us select our menu. We had a dinner and appetizer. Everything was delicious and Michael made sure we kept up to speed on anything we needed. The cost was moderate, and portion sizes were big. We took alot home. We will be back. I came in probably about a week ago and I was seated in Cody's section and he gave me absolutely amazing service! I would go back and request him again, he was very work focused and checked up on me and his other tables a perfect amount(not too much, but also not forgetting we were there). I ate the crawfish and it came with corn and potatoes, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked if you ask me. Overall, Cody did amazing, especially considering I noticed another server(Layla) was very focused on flirting with his table. M Crowd Restaurant Group bought Razzoo's in December 2025. The names of the food may be the same, but the recipes are NOT the same. Jambalaya with dirty rice was always my go to order. It was always so delicious with the flavorful dark roux gravy. It is now a pale dish that has the texture and taste of wallpaper paste with cayenne pepper. No depth of flavor of the wonderful spices. So pale like they don't know the principles of how to make a roux. We used to eat there with regularity. Now, we will be looking for a new cajun restaurant that knows how to cook real Cajun food. So they've got a not-so secret menu that you can only get if you scan the QR code and see their website. But it's basically a three for $20 special. You can get a choice of an appetizer and two mains for $20 and so we got the sampler plate which had the fried pickles, the rat toes and the boudin balls which was delightful for me and then for the mains my husband got the Cajun chicken fried steak and I got the etouffee. These are humongous portions. It was such a great deal. The kids both got mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and that was also really large portions and a good deal. When we went they had a special that a can of beer was $2 and the cocktails were $4 happy hour. So all in all I think it is a decent way. If you want to have a night out with your family. We have been going to Razzoo's for years but unfortunately, will not be returning. I always get the Crawfish Etouffee but last night's was not good. When I said it was more like creole with dirty rice and an obvious tomato base someone from the kitchen came back and rudely brought me a bowl of creole to prove me wrong. My wife who is a fantastic cajun cook gently pushed back saying the rice should not be dirty and the base was obviously from tomato. He said curtly the recipe had been changed. Customer service fail. What should have happened was a question of would I like something else since the recipe had changed. None was offered. It was clear I was not happy with it and did not eat it. Waitress knew as well. Love Razzoos. Been going for years, every time we come to town. Had the crawfish and crab boil today and OMG. The crawfish were good size, it was well seasoned and cooked. I can't remember the last time I had crab that peeled that easy, but it definitely wasn't inland. The server was attentive and vivacious. I felt like it was a good place for my 2yo as well. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect to see from a Cajun place. Pack 'em in, and feed 'em good. My friend from out of town was visiting and he loves Razzoo's. We try to go every time he's in town. Per usual, greeted and seated very warmly and nicely at the door. Sat at the bar and they had the Olympics track and field 100m race playing which made for a lively atmosphere. While the food did take a little longer than usual to come out since it was fairly crowded inside, it was worth the wait. Simply delicious. A great stop for some food with unique taste. read more
