Really missed the 'buck' for me. Its amazing that they put that much effort into the decor, it is top notch to look at all the cool fish while you bowl! But the other details are lacking. At $60 an hour I don't expect to lose 10+ minutes of play time waiting for an employee to reset the machine which stalled for no reason. The balls are in horrible condition. True story one of them cut open my friend's finger and he took it back to the staff so they could take that ball out of circulation. The waitress recommended the chicken sandwich, so went with that. It was covered in buffalo sauce which I wasn't expecting and couldn't eat. Kid's burger was very dry. The mac and cheese appeared to be straight out of a box and was also dry. Service was very slow given they were not busy. Uncle Buck's is funky and beachy in all the right ways. From sharks, tunas, and just about everything hanging up above you, it feels like you were dropped into the ocean and weighted down by a bowling ball along the way. Since Uncle Buck's is technically part of the attached Bass Pro Shops it's pretty easy to find parking. The downside of that is that just about everyone who went shopping next door is coming here after. We had to wait about 45 minutes in order to get a lane here, which really wasn't a difficult wait as they have a bar and restaurant, arcade, and the actual Bass Pro Shops next door. When we were eventually called for our lane we were pretty excited to get started. We ordered a strawberry lemonade, pina colada, fried pickles, and churro sticks to start alongside our bowling. We were surprised that the food wasn't really all that bad for bowling alley standards. It wasn't great, but hey, it's a bowling alley. Service was decent too despite it being pretty packed. Ironically, the worst part of the experience was the bowling. The lanes are pretty narrow and that extends to the bay where you sit down. It's pretty hard to get back and forth from bowling having to crawl over a lot of people. Also, we ran into issues over and over with the lane itself taking a long time to register which pins were knocked over and when to fully reset. We bowled only 1.5 games in a full hour with only 4 people. We could've easily bowled another full game at most places. This probably would've been a lot more annoying had the place itself not been so fun and endearing. That's probably the best way to put Uncle Buck's, it's endearing. It's funky, has its fun vibe, but is kinda rundown in the good kinda way. Looks like the kids love it and it's refreshing to see these quirky spots still open and operating. The food was good, and everything was there. - The second time, there was no cole slaw in two of the two fish baskets, and one had a half portion of fries. - The third time I placed an order and was notified a half hour later it was canceled because they were closed (I shouldn't have been able to order if they're closed). - The fourth time, the order was canceled because they were out of fish. I have many callings on a day-to-day basis. I want ramen noodles. I want a latte. I want to do twenty-eight backflips in a row (something I'm still working on because I can't even do one). I don't know if fish-themed bowling inside a Bass Pro Shop is one of those callings. But last weekend, I wanted to bowl, and the Fish Bowl seemed worth a visit. It's a little pricier than your typical bowling alley, but there are large model fish hanging from the ceiling. Personally, that trade-off works for me. Now, I'm pretty good at Wii bowling, but I hadn't genuinely bowled in a few years. A couple strikes and a few spares would be enough to feel like a win. I did alright. My friend did not. That's a her issue, and not a knock against the Fish Bowl. But I felt the review should mention just how terrible she was. I don't think I'm worthy of a ten-day contract in the PBA, and I'm definitely not flirting with a 300, but I'd say my performance was serviceable. The alley runs a little slow, and sometimes the pins take a while to reset. At one point we genuinely wondered if we had broken the lane before it finally fixed itself. I only had a Yuengling and didn't try the food, so I won't pretend to be a subject expert on the "grill" part of Uncle Buck's. But I sure as hell bowled the best I could. Knowing this was more gimmick than a traditional alley helped put the experience into perspective. Why bowl in a Bass Pro Shop? Why not. I don't know when I'll go bowling again, but if I want to show a visiting friend the highest level of concept-bowling, I'll take them to the Fish Bowl. read more

Way Too Expensive for Poor Maintenance and Service I wanted this to be a great experience for a 14th birthday, but unfortunately, the quality of this facility did not match the price tag. If you are planning a party here, please read this before you book the "package." The "Party Package" Trap (Save your money!): * Do not pay the extra $10, $15 or $21 per child for the pizza and soda package. * You only get TWO very basic ONE topping pizzas and TWO pitchers of soda, no matter which package OR how many kids. It is absolutely not worth it, at all! * Pro-Tip: Pay the base (Bronze) price per child and just order what you want off the menu. You'll save a ton of money and get better food. The Technical Issues: We spent half of our paid time waiting for help that never arrived. * The lanes were poorly lit (lights were out on our lane). * The ball return worked less than half the time. * The pin-setters were clearing pins while the kids still had a turn remaining. * The scoring system was constantly glitching. Because of these constant malfunctions, we didn't even get the full playtime we paid for. You are paying for a "timed" experience, but you lose that time waiting for equipment to be fixed. The Service: When we asked for help with the lane or the ball return, it simply didn't come. We were left waiting around while our party clock kept ticking. Final Verdict: This facility makes a ton of money on birthday parties, and they need to reinvest that into maintenance. It's frustrating to pay a very high premium for a birthday celebration only to deal with broken machinery and a lack of support. There are better ways to spend your birthday budget. read more

A very popular family destination that warranted trying out. Upon arrival there was a wait. 40 minutes for two lanes or 15 for one. We opted for one lane. This is important as lanes are paired together. While we waited, we perused the bass pro shops variety of items. Once our lane was available we returned and I learned the true greatness of Groupon. That saved us over $60 on the visit. The counter clerk was super friendly and helpful. The first thing I couldn't help to notice is the track lights on our lane didn't work. When you're working a theme, small things like this standout. My ten year even commented on the lights lol. Three nose was typical of an alley, loud with talking, music in the distance, the sounds of the small arcade in the back, kids running back and forth laughing and playing, and the cacophony of balls crashing into pins. All parties accounted for, bumpers set up we set to bowling. Half way thru we decided to order some food. we ordered a meat lovers pizza and cheese burger sliders for the baby girl. Remember lanes are paired? After about 30 minutes, the server brought out a pizza. And was about to leave until I asked if the pizza was ours or our neighbors sitting in the same booth as us. After a moment he realized his error and clarified it was for lane 15. Another twenty minutes passed before our pizza finally came. And about five minutes after before the sliders came which were only two little burgers. The pizza was bland, dough was a bit undercooked. The cheeseburgers came out without any accoutrements, not even cheese! I had to go back to the bar just to get dressing for the burger. Bartender was very helpful and ran back and brought us a plate of cheese lettuce pickles and tomatoes. We ended up offering half our pizza to a family that replaced our first group of neighbors. Didn't want them paying for overpriced subpar pizza. ‍ We bowled for two hours then did a circuit in the mini arcade area. Kids had tons of fun and I always enjoy bowling. It's a good experience if you're into the themed alleys and you're a fan of bass pro shops. Still, a bit overpriced. read more

I am here to review the bowling alley and bar. I havent tried their food in years so ill stay clear of that. But i will say, 5ish years ago that I had the fish n chips... they were amazing!! The bowling alley was fun. They had a great selection of balls to use, specially since I have sausage fingers. Computers were easy to use and had large seating areas. I dont think very large groups though would like it as a fun group activity because the areas are pretty reduced. We did get a couple drinks. The bartender was what one would expect mid day. The piña colada my wife ordered was a solid 6. It had chunky ice in it and watered down quite fast. It had no alcohol so we figured the taste would be pretty good almost all the way through. My drink you cant mess up so.. the coke was pretty good, lol. If they offered table service at the bowling island, i think it would provide for a far better experience since it does take from your bowling "time", but, just my opinion... The bowling alley was well organized and clean. It's set to be under the sea which gives it a fun spin and there is a connected arcade. The bowling machines are digital and seemed to work well. There are plenty of ramps for kids. While I was hesitant to get the pizza, my "little sister" wanted it, and as I was anticipating it being the quality of Chuckie Cheese, I was pleasantly surprised. It will cost you about $44 to bowl for two for an hour which I think is fairly standard as bowling is not inexpensive. Horrible service We brought 8 people for bowling. We asked for 2 lanes were given 1. 8 people seating for 4. We had to go to the hostess stand 3 times in 45 minutes to place a drink order. Meanwhile the group that came and sat at the lane next to us after we had been here awhile got food and drinks before we were asked what we would like to drink. Worst part for us is this was my step-son's birthday. All he wanted was to come here and bowl. Compete waste of our time. My advise is to find somewhere else to enjoy bowling. Wow, what a wonderful experience. The waitlist in insane though. When we first called it was 20 mins, then 30. But when we arrived it was an hour wait. Marty the manager allowed us to use our arcade card (Groupon offer) first so we could play before our lane was available and it made it so much worth it! They have two areas, one for bigger kids and the other for like toddlers. It was a shame that atleast 5 games were down and some were a bit pricey on credits, but the experience was 10/10 would recommend. We were visiting from out of state and my nephew has a curfew so we were able to have fun then more fun afterwards. The staff is very friendly. But take note that the waitlist is only in person so plain accordingly but there it's inside bass pro so there's a lot to do while you wait. Will come back next time I visit read more

The lane broke every five minutes, but the staff did allow us a few minutes extra time because of how much was lost while waiting for them to reset things. I had such a wonderful time coming here! it is inside of the bass pro shop and was a unique experience! we used a Groupon deal that gave us arcade credit and included an hour of bowling with shoe rental. parking was easy to find and we were able to get a lane immediately! the service was okay and the bar took a while because the bartender was working alone and had to get to everyone. The drinks were great tasting and the food was pretty decent for a bowling alley. We looked online and I ordered the nachos but the server told me they only had queso with chips. I did not understand why they would say they had nachos online but could not make them there. My friends got the giant pretzel and that was really good. Another item my friends got was their pizza! I would order the pretzel and pizza but not the queso again. We had so much fun the first hour that we added another hour! I will be coming back because it is such a fun and unique environment. This was our first time visiting here and overall we enjoyed it. The price to bowl is actually more affordable for a family of 5 than other places were priced so that was definitely a plus. Not to mention the atmosphere overall is fun, lively and different. My children definitely loved the underwater theme. The arcade was also nice however we didn't get to play any of the games (maybe next time). The wait time was exactly what we were quoted too...so we walked around Bass Pro until we were called. The employees were all nice with the exception of the bar area to place orders. I'm not sure if the employee was overwhelmed but we were not greeted pleasantly at all. The only other downside for me is that when we finally got to our lane there were half drunken drinks in the cup holders and trash around the floor. Even when the party next to us left no one came to clean their mess which resulted in us along with the new couple gathering everything to sit on the table behind our lane. Food was mediocre. Ordered the jalapeño popper pizza and the fried combo basket. The pizza had very little toppings on it, maybe one slice of jalapeño on each slice. The bacon and pepperoncini was pretty much nonexistent and I didn't see any cream cheese. The store closes at 9- we walked in at 8:25 with the hopes to bowl for a game of 2 people. When we walked in, there were barely any people there, but a few workers. When I asked to start a game of bowling for two people, all I was met with was " I can't do that, we close in 30 minutes." And he walked away. While I understand that coming in close to closing can be difficult for the workers, it was not made clear that you can't start a game after a certain time even for such a small party- and at the end of the day, regardless of the rules, the response was very short, cold, and unnecessarily rude for two people who were just trying to have a nice end to a date night. read more

Who'd guess than inside bass pro there is a restaurant with pretty good food, pretty friendly staff that also has an arcade and bowling alley? We decide to come here because we took our son to see Santa and they give a free kids meal if you purchase one adult entree while Santa is in town. Let's start with the kids meal, several normal options and our kids choose a cheese pizza and apple sauce. The apple sauce was a small Mots plastic container apple sauce and a 4" pizza ( I'm guessing it's one of those $0.99 microwave types). Anyway, he's a kid and ate it. "Retail price" $6.49 - totally not worth it, but it was free with an adult entre purchase so alright. We got the Cajun Catfish and added grilled shrimp for $6 and substituted fries pickle chips instead of fries for an extra $2. The grilled shrimp tasted great. But is was 4 tiny shrimp for $6. Totally not worth it. The $2 substitution on the fries for fried pickles- totally worth it. Normally I dislike pickle chips because they are generally not done right. These were actually awesome. The Cajun catfish was pretty good and what you'd expect. Think the base price is $16 which IMO is a bit expensive for what you get. Think you can get the same thing at Jim's for $12 with more/better sides. Their side was Cole-slaw. Horrible!!!! Stood at the counter for five minutes before I was ever acknowledged. Asked for two lanes as we had 8 people only got one. Asked for a ramp for our daughter who is 2 was told they are all being used and moments later the family in the lane over got one brought to them. Tried to get a server for food and drinks the key pad wasn't working, so my mom went to the desk for them to send one over nobody came my husband went and asked nobody came. The group of four employees behind the counter never moved jut stood with arms crossed. After the frustration my husband went into bass pro shop and bought us all bottle drinks as the cashier looked at him confused my husband told him he could let someone know the service sucked at bucks he then told him the sad part was we weren't the first people to do that today. This restaurant is attached to the Bass Pro Shops. You can enter either through the store or from the front entrance. While walking though the mermaid handled doors you enter the waiting area full of fish hanging and the rest of the place an underwater themed adventure. Besides a restaurant there is a bowling alley. The bowling alley is divided in half where the lights are dimmed and water reflections shine on the walls. Each bowling ball is custom designed to have a sea life animal on it. This place is really for kids. You first will need to rent bowling shoes first. With high demand and with birthday parties on the weekends then expect a long wait. The dine in seating is nice and have a few options where you prefer to sit at. There is a quiet room in the back to mussel the sound of banging balls hitting the wood floor. On this day I went straight to the bar to get a drink and taking a break from shopping at Bass Pro. The bar itself is like drinking inside an old shipwreck. I ordered an Old Marksman and tasted pretty good making me feel like an old sailor. The bartender dressed normal and was nice and helpful. I looked at the menu and had some nice choices on it but I was not hungry. Overall the atmosphere is great and enjoyed watching people and kids bowl, and perhaps next time will try it. read more

We both said, "that's only snacks menu.
