After my regular plumber misdiagnosed my water issue, I called RD Hydro Jet for the first time last week. I had what I thought was a slab leak in my home. Ryan was out the same day to inspect my problem area. He did not have some of the equipment he needed on Sunday to reach a confirmed diagnosis, so he returned on Monday morning right on time. Ryan was able to find the leak and provided an estimate shortly after he left. After my insurance company approved the estimate, Ryan and a couple of his crew were out today, again right on time. The leaking hot water line was re-routed through the attic. I can now move forward with the mold abatement process and get a restoration company to put in a new floor, drywall, bathroom vanity and get my life back to normal. Our bamboo flooring buckled and I wanted to find out if we had a water leak. I requested quotes for the cost to do leak detection with supply line and video of sewer line. Ryan was the first to respond to my request. He provided what I felt was a fair cost for those services. He even tried to help me by giving me advice on what to check before hand. He even answered several of my questions throughout the day. I wanted to clarify if there was a service call fee on top of the cost for the services and he said no. I also wanted to clarify if he was charging per line of if it was the cost to just find the leak throughout the whole house. Which he clarified it wasn't per line and that he would be finding leak. I felt reassured and confident going with him especially after comparing all the quotes which charged a service call fee on top of the service cost. I decided to make an appointment with Ryan. He scheduled it and I got a text confirming the date and time. What what really cool was the day of the appointment, I got a text that said that he was enroute. So far my impression was that he was genuinely a nice honest guy. When he showed up, he was exactly that. He checked for leaks and didn't find anything. He said if there was a leak, we would be able to smell the mold/mildew. He said with his experience he's been in multiple houses where you can immediately smell the mold/mildew when you walk into the house and that our house didn't have that smell. We were still concerned about water damage so to reassure us, he said he'd even send out his floor devision with a tool that can see through our floor. But we decided to cut a piece of our floor to see if we could see water under it. He offered to help us cut out a piece of our bamboo flooring since he was there and had tools. After cutting up a small piece, there was moisture. He ran the water from our kitchen to see if it was a leak but it wasn't. We are going to have to take it up with the moisture barrier company as that failed and the moisture went through. Ryan said he would write up the report at no cost that he did the leak detection and no leak was found. I definitely will call Ryan in the future for any plumbing needs I have and refer him to people we know. I'm so excited that I found a good plumber and just good person. I felt that he genuinely does what is best for his customers and tries to save them the most money. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! RD came out hydro jetted and inspected my pipes with a camera. Found roots on the far backside of my house. Told me they would have to jackhammer up my custom tile floor and foundation in my bathroom to access the roots for $8500, does not include repairs to put it back together! I have been in construction for 38 years and I when I heard the cost and the mess I would have to deal with I starting researching for other solutions online and I found them! So, I had another company come out and they pulled the roots out of the sewer clean out by the back of the house for only $1285 without tearing up my bathroom. They also offered to break up the roots with the hydrojet before finding the sewer clean out. Hmm...wonder why RD didn't offer that solution. What a huge difference in cost and a professional experience. So sick of trying to be scammed just because I live in a nice house in a nice area and I am a woman. Shame on you!! read more

What a professional operation this company is running. We received a call from the water company that we had a over-sized bill and that they suspected we had a leak. Our toilet had been running for a week or so and knew we had to find a plumber. After a quick yelp search we reached out to a handful of companies and RD replied quickly and without a "service" quote which a lot of businesses noted a $50 min. Just to check out the issue. RD showed up same day within a few hours and immediately fixed the toilet issue for a great price but FURTHER - identified that the prior owners had done a severely bad job on our water pressure and it was running exceedingly high. The best part - when RD called in the service part it was over $450 just for the part needed to do the job - he was extremely honest and transparent that in order to do the service with that type of price he would have to charge us far over market value. He suggest ordering the part ourselves on Amazon and if need be - he would return to do the service with the appropriate fee. We did exactly that and highly appreciated the professionalism and the customer service - no one wants to get ripped off when you don't know the industry.
