We have been eating at this location for a few years not sure why I haven't reviewed them, my husband used to come more frequently at lunch. But together we enjoy dinner more often, they have a fantastic selection of tacos, all done to perfection. The seafood selection is nice here too. He always enjoys a house margarita and we have good service.

Random stop here. Chips and salsa is great and the margs hit the spot but to be honest there was no music playing and just few individuals in the restaurants so having a conversation was awkward over all it was good.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. We were taking 70 To go to one on Colfax and happened to look over and saw this location and went here instead. Service was attentive, place was clean. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were good. I'd love to try other stuff. The sopapillas were also good.

Portion size, slow service, and overpriced. I did a to go order and order there carne asada it also came with bacon shrimp. lol they burned me. only made me 2 burnt not crispy, but burnt shrimps. Took them a quiet minute for them just to make a smaller portion than last time and it's because it's to go the plates are pretty small ended up wasting 35$ dollars for a snack. Still hungry. Not worth it anymore. read more

We recently visited this Real de Minas location, and I have to say, it was easily the best one I've been to so far. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cute Mexican restaurant vibe, bright, cheerful colors, charming décor, and a really cozy feel that makes you want to sit down and relax. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel welcomed and comfortable, which is always a great start to any dining experience. The service here was honestly outstanding. Our waitress didn't completely understand English, but she tried her absolute hardest and was so sweet and attentive throughout our meal. You could tell she genuinely appreciated that we were patient and allowed her to take her time with us. She was thankful for the opportunity to practice, and that effort alone made us feel valued as customers. Even with a language barrier, she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, which really made the experience feel special. The food was equally impressive. I saw this was a local restaurant and decided to try it out. I was a little nervous when I saw all of the one star reviews. After tasting the food and interacting with the greeter (I ordered to go) I truly cannot see why someone would leave a low review. The greeter at the front door welcomed me in kindly and was patient for my order while I browsed their extensive menu. I was on the fence on what to order until I spotted the golden item: quesabirria tacos, my fave. I decided on those and when asking for a recommendation on if the rice was flavorful or more on the bland side, I appreciated her truthful answer. My order came out pretty fast, within 8-10 minutes. They gave me ALLLLL the fixins and then some. I received 3 tacos, 3 limes, cilantro, white and red onions, sliced habanero peppers, AMD chips and salsa. The salsa was magnificent, and I'm usually the person that would rather not eat the chips and salsa because the quality is low and it is not tasty. But you could tell the vegetables they used were very fresh and it had a tiny bite of spice. Probably third best restaurant salsa I've tasted. The other salsas for the birria tacos were wayyyy too salty. As far as the birria tacos went, they were exploding with flavor, and my cheese pull was textbook definition. The consume was one sprinkle of seasoning away from being on the bland side, right on the cusp, but valid enough. I can definitely see myself coming back! read more

I been to this place before and their carnitas were so delicious and authentic, but today I was so disappointed that they let that dish leave the kitchen. Still left a tip as it was not the server's fault. They tasted like they were old and just lost my appetite. read more

We come here all the time and it is wonderful but the last 2 times we have been here we have had horrible service. I got an iced tea and never got a refill, we also never got more chips or salsa. We wanted a dessert so we waited over 15 mins before I got up and grabbed a menu myself as the only 3 girls that were servers were all decorating for valentines and not paying any attention to their customers. We got a tres leches cake after trying to flag down our server for over 5 mins and the strawberry had mold on it.. we love this restaurant but if you come during the week don't expect service read more

This place is a rip off. I used to come here for lunch and prices have increased by at least 5$ on everything. I went here recently while waiting for my truck to be worked on. I order a michelada that was 12$, a normal dosxx is 4$ so they think that adding some ice, taajin rim and 1oz of Clamato is worth 8$?!? What a joke. Nothing on the menu is under 10$ and the food quality is terrible. The bar is filthy and flies were buzzing around the entire time. Do not eat here you will be disappointed and your bill will be unreasonable. read more

What an amazing place! From the outside you would guess it is a simple restaurant, but once you walk in you are greeted by great decor, the friendliest servers, great food and big portions. This is the first time I've been served some type of spicy cabbage pico de gallo and it was delicious. My carne asada was cooked perfectly and quite flavorful. This was our second trip to this location and our first dining experience was an amazing dinner. However Lunch today was beyond disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the breaded shrimp dish and what he could stomach is now in the parking lot; the shrimp was rotten and mushy. Also, don't order the Taco Tuesday special. Taco Bell's are a 5 star compared to this. Service and atmosphere is great, but it doesn't make up for the food. read more

I wanted to continue to like this restaurant. There are about 4-5 Real de Minas around between Denver and Aurora. I have been to all of them. However, this is the one I've come the most because is the closest to my house. Their food was good in the past. I really enjoyed it. But at this specific location, flavors address a hit or miss. I was served Camarones a la Diabla Witt burned rice and super salty shrimp. I had to send it back to get replaced and still, rice from the same burned pot. I returned it and left without eating. I took my dad's wife for her birthday because she chose it. For a bill of four people including drinks, the waitress ADDED her GRATUITY. When I asked why and disputed it, I was told they just choose who to add gratuity to without having to have a certain number of people at the table. I'm done with this place! To top it off, food is more expensive than your traditional Mexican restaurant. Not coming back! read more

I'm here at the restaurant now. Asked for the appetizer "Queso Fundido", however I would like to substitute the chorizo for beef. The waitress, who had no idea what I was talking about on the menu until I showed her, informed me that it would be an extra $6.99 for the substitute. That is outrageous! I asked her if I may please speak to a manager about it. She went into the back, returned a few minutes later to inform me that the manager was too buzy to speak with me. Huh? Finishing my WEAK drink and leaving. UPDATE: OMG I was just informed that the "manager" is the owner and she is in a meeting and cannot talk with any customers. RUUUUN AWAY!!!!! read more

I received salmonella food poisoning from this restaurant last Monday... I'm serve safe certified, as is my boy friend, and we're confident their kitchen is not taking the precautions they need to to keep their customers safe. I tried reaching a manager all week with no prevail. Really disappointing because their service was great and they have a nice menu. I do NOT suggest eating here. read more

I'm a business traveler so I can only tell you about my experience the two times that I've been here. It was within walking distance of my hotel. It's great service and the food is both reasonably priced and delicious, combine this with their ice cold Mexican beer selection and you have a winning combination. read more

What's up with just two stars? They have great food and service. I hate their hard seats. But, overall I like their food. Especially the enchiladas rancheros, and the crispy chili rellenos. We were a party of 6 and a toddler and dined in for dinner on a Sunday night. We arrived separately, but were seated and offered drinks and menus instantly. From the moment we entered the restaurant the staff were so attentive. We all ordered different menu options including pozole, carne asada dinner, shrimp cocktail and sopes. Service was fast, we were all served about the same time and everyone's food was nice and hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals there was nothing to complain about. Some in our party ordered margaritas and beers and enjoyed those as well. This restaurant was quite a distance from our hotel in Brighton, but as promised, it was well worth the trip! We definitely be our go to when visiting Colorado again. read more

New restaurant in the area. Serves inexpensive Mexican entrees and I personally would only come back for the Pollo De Minas: Brown Rice, Peas, Beans, Sour Cream, Melted Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes and Lettuce. Very interesting. Very typical. I do enjoy it, because it tastes like Mexican fast food. Not a bad combo for me. I like anything with Shrimp, so I'll try their shrimp platter for next time! read more

I've ordered Menudo thousand times from this place. This time I ordered it with extra tripe on the side. When I call them I let them know that there was no extra tribe and in fact it's the same portion that I always get. The lady informed me that she checked my food and I did have extra tribe and started to argue with me. So no I won't be going back and I do not recommend this place to anybody read more

I couldn't even eat the onions and I love a good pickled onion.

Worst Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to. For starters the waiter rushed us the whole time, we couldn't even get one word out and he was already moving to the next question. Or to the next person although I wasn't even finished ordering. Never provided us with drink menu or told us about any specials. My margarita was ok. My son order a michelada wich was served in a hot hard plastic mug, when told that the michelada was not cold enough and that if could we get a cold mug he went on to tell us those were the cold mugs. Like wow, just pure nasty to even insult my intelligence like that. I ordered hot wings which were dry and tasted awful, they were so black which tell me that they were pretty old. We couldn't even swallow our food it was just nasty all around. Bland, rubbery, old tasting, just bad bad bad. Everything had an extremely refrigerated taste. I know we're doing the best we can to stay in business through this difficult times but this was not justified. Why would you even serve food so old? My son ordered a breaded tilapia, tasteless, and myself the steak and chicken fajita, rubbery old tasting. Waste of $80 plus dollars. Would not go back to this restaurant. And definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. Don't go here. Don't waste your money here. As I am very honest on my reviews may I add that I have eaten at Real De Minas at Parker and Arapahoe and that was a whole different experience. Went for dinner and ordered a chili reallano burrito. One third of the way through the burrito I found a caterpillar in the reallano. The took the plate back and brought me something else and even though I didn't have to pay for my menudo, they still charged me for the reallano.
