Hired these guys a few days ago and don't have anything negative to note. This was one of the easiest and least expensive moves I ever had. I was originally scheduled to move on Sunday and when Scott called about an hour and a half before the scheduled time to confirm he had a weather report ready. He noted that there was a 40% chance of rain and asked to ensure that I was OK moving in the rain. I have a large leather sectional that I didn't want getting wet and some sensitive electronics. The electronics were well packaged, but the stairs outside the pickup location in Venice can be a bit slippery when wet so to avoid damage to people and property I asked if we could reschedule and Scott immediately understood. This kind of flexibility is refreshing and not something I had experienced with the movers that relocated me from Baltimore to LA. On Tuesday, when Scott showed up I didn't have the key to my old apt on me and though we had to wait half an hour while someone came to let me in, Scott and Eric chilled out unphased. When the doors were opened, it was all business. They very quickly moved all of my stuff and loaded it into the truck with impressive tetris skills. They got my couch out of the door quickly and without any damage to it which was impressive because the guys who delivered it nearly broke the door and the couch trying to get it in. The logistics of the task didn't make for an easy endeavor but the unflappable team handled it swimmingly. At drop off they moved everything into the house with the care and speed as before. The website gives you everything you need to know to prep for the move and are sure to collect all the information needed for them to get started. Just got a call from the owner of RnR movers addressing my issues and, I have to be honest, I am pleasantly surprised with the customer service. As much as I wish things turned out differently the day of the move, it is what it is and Scott (the owner) made sure to address all my issues mentioned in the former review. He offered to credit me back an additional amount to account for the damages to my sofa. The initial offer was to contact the manufacturer to get a new leg but because the sofa was a moving present from my uncle who lives out of the country, I took the first option to avoid the hassle. Unlike other horror stories I've hear of business owners threatening reviewers to take down reviews, Scott was friendly and diplomatic. These guys are professionals and are well-rounded in service before, during, and after the move. As mentioned in the review, the movers are quick and chill guys. Given the amount of positive reviews here, RnR movers should be in your consideration list when moving. read more

These guys were great!! Gabe, Sam, Drew, and Ray were our movers when we needed to move offices. They were fantastic!! They made sure everything was wrapped and secure for the move. This is the 4th time our family has used Real Rock n Roll Movers and these guys are great! They were on time and they carefully wrapped and protected everything. We got two wonderful movers, Roman and August, and they totally rocked! They were friendly, courteous and wonderful to work with! We had several very heavy pieces of furniture, but they handled them carefully and made a plan before they started lifting. They were great at communicating with each other when it came to maneuvering tight spaces. It was a super hot day (100 degrees) and they worked so hard, non stop! These guys were recommended by my boyfriend, and I would definitely recommend them too. Booking was easy - make sure you know what you're moving since they ask for it in order to get a quote; they'll give you the chance to update the list a day or two before the move (helpful for us since our number of boxes changed). The crew of 3 was courteous and accommodating - after getting into the new place, they offered to move things around to whatever setup we needed multiple times. They moved our 1 bedroom plus storage unit to a new loft and storage unit quickly and efficiently, even with our cumbersome bedroom set. The bedframe needed to be taken apart and reassembled, and the mattress support was awkward, but they were able to handle those no problem. I heard about these guys from a friend's recommendation. This was the first time i had used movers & they were cool and did a great job. It was definitely worth using them instead of trying to get friends to help me move from another city. oh and i have a ton of stairs at each place. I wish i had been more prepared for them to take absolutely everything. The little odds & ends I had decided i would take on my own added up & i had to take a couple more trips. My point being, you can have them take as much as possible for you The guys that moved my things were helpful and nice. and it's nice being able to support local musicians. I've never hired movers before, but I'm so so so glad I did. I used RnR movers to move from a studio in Venice to a house in Midcity. They also unloaded a trailer I had at the other end. They were total pros, and handled everything like a champ (especially considering that all of my furniture is solid wood craftsman stuff), and did a super fast job. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said. I've used them twice since moving to Los Angeles, and both times have been fantastic from start to finish. You can get a quote almost immediately, and the entire booking process is very straightforward with great communication. On the moving day, they called me asking if they could show up an hour early, and they got to work immediately. Really nice guys, efficient and careful, and always willing to ask questions to make sure everything goes properly. I moved recently from one 2nd floor apartment to another and RRnR Movers were the best. Daniel called about two hours prior to their arrival to let me know they were going to stop for a meal break and then come right over. He called again when they were on their way. When they showed up, I didn't really know what to expect but what I got was two very nice and polite guys that conducted their work uber efficiently. They showed me some paperwork and got right to work. They had most of my stuff moved in about a half hour before moving on to the bigger things like the couch and the refrigerator. So not only were they super nice, they were very hard working as well. All in all, I'm really glad I chose RRnR Movers. These guys truly rock. Everything was easy from the start--from booking, confirmation to showing up on time. They were very friendly, helpful and FAST, moving all of our stuff in the minimum amount of time agreed upon for our move! The rates were very reasonable as well, especially having 3 guys show up to do the work. The only bumps in the road: not using furniture pads and putting our light colored couch on the dusty floor of the truck, and needing to borrow tools (lucky I had them!) for something they should have been prepared for, but both of those things were forgiven, considering how well they did the rest of the move. Cole & Ronnie arrived on time and ready to work. They were super friendly and incredibly hard-working. All of my furniture is from Crate&Barrel, which simply means it's all incredibly heavy. They lifted my furniture like it was nothing and loaded it into my storage unit exactly how I wanted it. Not only do you get movers when you hire these guys, if you advertise it on facebook all of your single lady friends will come help you pack. Roman, Peter, and Archey moved us. These guys were awesome. I hired them because of there yelp reviews and am happy to leave another one. They were a fair price, hard workers, easy going. They made me and my friends feel really comfortable. I, like many people who move, didn't realize I had so much crap. But these guys made it work. Had a GREAT experience with them! I was hesitant to use movers because I had a very poor experience a few years ago with another company (beware of the Groupon deals and hidden fees) but I decided to go with RR&R and I'm glad I did. I couldn't have asked for better guys. I was moving from an upper apartment into another upper unit that only had a spiral staircase for access. It really couldn't have been a worse situation but they were still able to get my huge couches and bed in. I'm not sure how they did it but they did. The guys were pro, really nice and fast. I booked these guys because of their stars on Yelp, so it's only fair that I thank them. They were 5 minutes early and everything was loaded in 20 minutes (I had about the amount of stuff that fit into a pod, since the pod couldn't be delivered to me.) Their rates are very reasonable and the guys were super nice, very fast and very cautious with all my stuff. I LOVE the concept of Real Rock 'n' Roll Movers -- it provides jobs to great guys when they're not on tour as roadies, musicians, techs, etc. Most musicians and people in the music industry have a hard time getting work that allows for their erratic schedules, so this is a great way for them to fill the gap. SO, that's a really long way of saying that I felt good about hiring them, because I really think Scott (the entrepreneur/musician who founded it) offers a great service to musicians. Secondly, I could not have been more happy with the job they did -- they showed up on time, with an amazing attitude and they did the job well. It actually made an otherwise deplorable task (moving) kind of fun. The prices are great, you can talk music with them (one of my movers had played with the Brian Jonestown Massacre), and they work hard to get the job done right. I could not recommend them highly enough... I moved WAAAAAAY back in February and still felt compelled to write about them after all this time, so that's sayin' somethin'. :) read more

I'm gonna make it short & sweet you fruit cakes. These guys are the friendliest, hardworking guys in the moving biz. They showed up ready to work, I was also ready, so that helped a lot. I requested the big truck, and barely squeezed all my crap in it. They were careful and respectful of the furniture I asked for more care of. When they show up at your crib, play some pandora station on your jam box, it made me more comfortable, and they really enjoyed working to some good tunes also. We used REAL RocknRoll Movers in August to move from Playa del Rey to Redondo Beach. They had to fight 2 other sets of movers for the elevator in Playa & it took longer than expected, but everyone was great!! My only disappointment was they had a new truck with only a magnetic sign with the name stuck on the door. I REALLY wanted the full on logo on the side when I pulled up to our new place...LOL!! I hired the Real Rock n Roll movers after seeing their truck around L.A. a couple times. I was moving from South LA to East Hollywood and they were the first movers I thought of. It was my first time moving... EVER. Requesting a quote, submitting a deposit, communication and payment was all a BREEZE! They did my first move VERY quickly considering they had to haul a large wooden bed frame 4 flights of stairs, along with all our other bags and boxes. They were so helpful and just made it work! 2 weeks later, We decided to leave my apartment due to pests of which we had no prior knowledge of despite having seen the apartment a handful of times before!! We enlisted the help of Rock n Roll movers once again because we loved the service the first time around. The second move was done on a Sunday and was scheduled for 3pm. They actually ended their morning move earlier than usual and called me to see if we could get started on my move. How cool is that!? Needless to say, we immediately drove to the apartment to meet them there and have them start moving our stuff, including the large wooden bed frame back DOWN 4 flights of stairs. They were even cool with moving all my stuff to a storage unit. They must be Tetris champs because they made all our stuff fit in a 5X10 unit! Just finished moving my husband and I from Venice. They are super communicative on the day of which was much appreciated considering we were moving Friday afternoon and traffic is terrible. Great price for 2 guy and 1 truck combo ($89/HR). Super upfront with prices/costs so no surprises, and they are the only place that I got a quote from that estimated the time for me before booking. Very friendly and efficient movers. Really fun and normal. I also liked that you could book everything online without having to talk to someone. I hate getting quotes from people over the phone. Plus I love that you can enter in each thing you need to move so the movers come ready with the right size truck and time estimate, and they send you a reminder email with a link to edit the items you need moved (like I adjusted the exact number of boxes). I've never hired a moving company before so for me they've set the bar really high. Ronnie and Justin showed up on time.They managed to fit all our shit in the truck and everything got there in one piece. Plus they were awesome enough to fit us in the calendar on such short notice. Kudos. In all honesty I wanted to go with a local southbay company to cut down on cost but the philosophy behind Real R&R and the slew of great Yelp reviews convinced us to choose them and support our LA musicians. And after the move was complete they were still cheaper than the competition.They even went the extra mile and delivered our fridge to my sister in laws a mile away. We were very pleased! These guys were great. Friendly, relatively efficient, honest, and careful & mindful about moving things (not hitting door frames moving through narrow hallways etc.). We had Travis, Ashley and some other guy whose name escapes me, but he had long, luxurious blond metal hair). The company was referred by a friend, and it was a great recommendation. It's also nice to be able to support local musicians as opposed to other randos and schmos on the internet trying to hustle a buck. Online reservation portion was great so they could take a proper inventory and anticipate the size of the truck to bring (past movers from another company had brought too small of a truck during the last move). Any hiccups that happened, they were quick and cool about addressing it. No dishes from the dish box broke - which can partially be attributed to my packing skills, and partially to their moving skills. Great team of people they got. Would use again. read more
