I hate writing negative reviews for small businesses, but after speaking with Rock and Roll directly about my concerns to no avail, I wanted to share this outcome: I moved 2 weeks ago, and the guys were friendly and professional! 5 stars! I tipped 35% bc covid Unfortunately the truck broke down mid-move, it was towed to the lot, my belongings were transferred to another truck, and 4 hours later it arrived. It was inconvenient, stressful, and I was bummed about the added wear/tear on all my worldly belongings from the additional handling. A week later I realized a few valuable pieces were missing - my biggest fear from the truck break down was being realized! 5 days later they were found. Whew! Here's the real issue - when I asked for some kind of compensation due to the 4 hour delay, added wear/tear on my belongings, and near disappearance of my valuables, I was laughed at, dismissed, and called "out of touch" repeatedly by one of their staffers. He said trucks are out of their control, which is obviously not true - maintaining their fleet is core to any moving business. He refused to take responsibility for the sub-standard service I received, let alone make things right. He said I wasn't charged for the 4 extra hours to switch trucks, as if I should be grateful for that. I get that trucks break down unexpectedly, and it clearly doesn't happen often given all their 5-star reviews. What I don't get is being spoken down to, laughed off, and dismissed when I'm calmly asking for things to be made right after receiving sub-standard service. It's really hard to find good movers who you can trust. In my last move we had a mover along the way steal a bunch of stuff from us so you can imagine our trust level on this next move was pretty low. I started with a few quotes from places and their estimate was way more than I expected so I started asking friends for suggestions. REAL RocknRoll Movers came in as a strong rec, so I hit up the website for an estimate. Seemed way more in line with what I expected so I confirmed. Morning of, they showed up perfectly on time. From start to finish the 4 man team was amazing. I had Ryan, Anthony, David and Robin. They were efficient, used great teamwork and the guys even listened well to Ryan (the team lead) when he needed make a call on something. They were friendly and kept their masks on the entire day. Early on, we all realized that our stuff wasn't going to fit into the truck so Ryan called in to see if another was available. We lucked out and they guys went and grabbed another much smaller truck for our final items so they didn't have to make a second (and much more expensive) trip. I would always see real rock n roll movers trucks and thought man that's such a cool concept. So when me and my wife started planning our move we wanted a solid moving company. First time using movers and honestly just called them because I've seen them driving Burbank around for years. They were very responsive and prices were fair. I asked my team if they could show up by 9am because I had to pick up my little one at 4. They were here right on the dot with a huge truck and a pick up truck. A team of 4 guys (Raymond and Tommy and two other men). They were all professional, courteous, communicative and respectful. I enjoyed how friendly they were and accommodating. They gave a positive energy that they were genuinely happy to help. Continually checked in to see if we were okay. Handled our items with such care and packed them them with moving blankets, wrap and tape. They had huge boxes to wrap and handle small items for maximum movement. I was so impressed how fast they were. Moved a 1 bedroom house (774 sq ft) in 3 hrs. And never once did I hear any negativity or inappropriate language. They gave me 200% every second and offered help even after I was done. They helped me move the old washer and dryer out of the new house too. They cleaned up and left. I mess behind. These guys truly are rockstars. Although they are on the pricer side they are totally worth it. We had three guys move us and really hustled considering the temperature was in the 90s. My third move in LA and by far the most streamlined. They took the time to properly wrap everything and asked what they should know about the items fragility. Super personable and dedicated to the task. We unfortunately did have a small piece break off an insanely delicate item (the items forth move) but they took cash off because of it. Even after they stopped the clock they offered to move the furniture around in case we didn't like where things were placed. Great guys would hire again. read more

Ironically, my girlfriend is helping her boss move today (different moving company) and we have been comparing how different our experiences were. They showed up when they were supposed to and got right to work. I do REAL rock-and-roll moving for a living....I run a touring production company. Julio and David rival the best stagehands (roadies!) I have seen loading semis on tour. They got my entire 1BR (and I had a decent amount of furniture....almost a full 24ft box truck) done IN 90 MINUTES. Two guys moving and loading a 24ft box truck in 90 minutes is incredible, take it from me. I am actually excited to use REAL RocknRoll Movers when I move into my new place in a week or so. I called up REAL RocknRoll Movers for my local move this past weekend. Their website was very easy to navigate when I entered all my move info. I was contacted immediately and got the date and time set up fast! They also checked in before the move date to make sure I didn't have any additional questions. Great customer service! On move day, Ryan, Joey and Omer were there right on time. They came into my apartment and made sure they knew exactly which items would be moved. Ryan went over the paperwork with me in detail and answered my questions. I also had some special instructions for moving a sound booth and they were SUPER careful to make sure everything was handled exactly right! These guys were one of the top 3 crews I've ever used to move and I've moved 13 times. Fast, careful, efficient and just really cool guys. Unload at the new apartment was fast and easy. Their pricing is very up front and honest and I would say very fair. They don't hide any fees so the total is never a surprise. The crew that showed up was on time, super friendly and communicated the whole process with us. They come with all the supplies needed (since you fill out the form online prior, they should know what you need/don't need). They disassemble and reassemble anything that is needed and handled everything with caution and care while moving very quickly and efficiently. !!!!! BEWARE!!! My Identity was stolen by these Scum Guys!!!! Ok a few years ago my sister hired them to move some stuff at our house. When they finished I asked one of the employees if they were hiring for a mover position, he said yea you can apply on our website, So I applied for it. I didn't hear back, so I moved on with my life. Now, Fast forward to today March 9th 2023, I was looking over my credit report history today and I noticed my Identity and Social Security # was or still is being used by another "hired employee" here, using my exact name and SSN. Although I was never hired by them, my credit history is showing up that they are my: "Current & Or Former Employer". They stole my Identity documents from my room while they were moving my sisters stuff!!! Im shocked that there was or still is a guy using my exact name and SSN# working here. I immediately hired a Lawyer today as of 5pm. That's a Felony. I will post further updates as they come. Scary stuff. read more

From scheduling, providing a quote, easy communication and the actual move couldn't have been better. Moving is always stressful because you're always afraid that the movers won't care about your things. This was not the case with these movers because they carefully wrapped all my furniture and handled it with care. I only opted for moving only because I packed everything myself except for the furniture (if movers do the packing it takes about 12 hours or so-depending on your house size.) I, especially, appreciated when the movers asked where each item should be placed in the new home. The movers weren't on their phones or even had a headset which was quite professional on their part because they focused on getting their jobs done. We had four men, but eventually needed a second truck with an additional person, which could have been better planning on their part but otherwise it was an efficient move. I will, certainly, use them again and I highly recommend them. read more

I have a move coming up and saw their truck on the freeway. Hey, that's kind of unique, i thought. I'll get a quote. The online quote was easy and the response was timely. Even the price was fair (159 / hour for 3 movers) for our 2 br single story house to a single story house. Just like I told them. I don't have big stuff. Heaviest items are the w/d, fridge, 2 full couches and a queen sleep set. Everything else is IKEA and light, or boxed up and ready to haul. What caught my eye was boldly written in their email -No Truck Fees. All good so far. So I hit them back for a firm quote and schedule service. I copied the same information into the online service request and hit send. A few minutes later, the quote comes back at $209 /hr for 4 movers, and $730 for drive time. So, I email back right away and asked why is it now $50 an hour more and $730 in drive fees? I get a revised quote right away. This one is for $259 per hour and $730 in truck fees. WTF?!?! Ok.. it's a typo. It's got to be a typo, I thought. So I drop one more email saying this isn't getting better. They recognized the error right away and sent a fourth quote - for $209 /hr and $7300 in truck travel time. If they can't get the price right on a quote, what's going to happen when they have my stuff on their truck. Yno thanks. Adios. . Update - I did receive a PM from the owner. He apologized for the crazy email chain. What was missing was clarity as to what the actual prices should have been. I appreciated the contact, but I have chosen not to use this company. read more

We have used them several times and they always impress! Our first experience with them was several years ago and we have only used them ever since. During that first job our son stopped breathing and we left in an ambulance for the rest of the day. we left them alone in our house with no instruction whatsoever. I scheduled them for a move on a Friday, and the Tuesday prior I let them know I was not moving and needed to find another place (I found evidence of bedbugs there!). I asked to apply the $100 deposit to the rescheduled move, which would take place within a few weeks as I absolutely had to move. They said NOPE they would be keeping the deposit, because I was canceling the move 70 hours in advance of the move time, instead of 72 hours, which is their policy. I asked why they can't apply the deposit to the move I'll be making in a few weeks, and he said they don't do that. They had 3 days to fill the spot, and I'm sure they did, but theynkept my $100. Really sketchy! So, they lost a customer, and I used Packman Movers today, and Packman was excellent!! DO NOT RECOMMEND ROCK N ROLL MOVERS! read more
