Ours was a difficult job, and the guys did it with a positive attitude throughout. They worked fast, but they didn't hurry. This is my 3rd time hiring Real RocknRoll Movers. I believe the first time I hired them was back in 2011 and moved me from my loft in DTLA to another, then 5 years later, moved me from DTLA to Echo Park. They moved me last week from Echo Park to my new apt in Mid-City. Communication was solid from the beginning-- receiving a quote, confirming any questions then creating my appt for moving day. The online checklist is super helpful to prepare myself as well as them for consolidating any items to move. For me, I prefer to pack my own items so I didn't choose the option for the packing services. I prefer just having the moving team literally move my belongings. I had a huge painting 10' x 5' -- completely moved unscathed. My large framed mirror completely moved unscathed. These items were pre-wrapped by me but the movers covered them with blankets as well. They also disassembled my bed + assembled it at my new place--- and they placed it in the perfect spot in the bedroom! Gotta give Garrett a shout out for this! *My former apt is a 1920's building-- the elevator is fairly small and my new apt building only have stairs and the guys rallied professionally and got me all moved in a timely manner. I can't believe I forgot to review this company. They moved me from Silver Lake to Glendale in June 2017. I'm always nervous moving because I have antique furniture and china and crystal (it's not replaceable). They're stellar. Billy answered all my questions. Gave me pointers about how to prepare my more fragile items from the move. The only difficult item was a futon frame that was put together like a mind bender puzzle-- but they figured it out and got it reassembled (honestly, I think it's the first time it was put together correctly-- I don't have to wrestle with it to move it from bed to couch position.) Everything arrived in one piece. Nothing was lost. The crew who arrived were friendly, fast and efficient. They arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule and were done and on their way at the time they anticipated they would be. I'd absolutely use them again. read more

These guys really ROCK! They were on time and FAST! They ask that you have everything boxed up and in the front of your place near the door so they can quickly get in and get everything out! They even moved my refrigerator with NO problems! They had to take it down TWO LEVELS! They sent two HOT Rock and Roll dudes (totally in a band and everything), they had good conversations with us while they moved our stuff and even my bf at the time enjoyed chatting with them. They were super affordable too. I think it was only about $300 to move me from Long Beach to the South Bay! That's a hike! They moved a one bedroom apartment plus storage unit full of stuff and the fridge as mentioned above. Scott, Waldemar, and Daniel (aka "Coco") showed up at my apartment right on time and got right to work. First thing they did was just check out everything I had to move and made a plan. First, they built a huge, tightly-packed wall of boxes in the front of the truck and effectively protected the contents of everything because it was packed so tightly. Then they wrapped up the furniture in cellophane, disassembled the bed and desk and loaded all that on too. The bed proved to be problematic, but they kept at the problem until it was solved. They had the entire contents of my apartment loaded on the truck within three hours. My old apartment was on the ground floor and my new place was up a flight of stairs, so they definitely were earning their money on the back end (it was a hot day) as they carried everything up. The staircase had a hairpin turn halfway up so it took some skill and negotiating getting the larger furniture items up the staircase. But they were always careful and there was not a scratch to anything they moved or anything in the new house. E-mail communications from the office leading up to the move were always clear and prompt. They have a very detailed questionnaire about what's being moved to help them know what size truck and crew to bring. fyi They accept credit card payments for the move, but if you plan to tip the movers (which you certainly should -- they work sooo hard), the tip can't be added to the credit card. So have cash on hand for that. read more

REAL Rock 'n' Roll Movers truly Rock!!! I have used them twice and both times they were totally great! The first time was when I purchased a large piece of furniture from their resale store and had them deliver it at an extremely reasonable rate. They were super attentive and that thing was HEAVY! They managed to get it in my apartment and up all the stairs without a problem. I was a bit shocked, but they did it! The last time I had them move my art studio in Culver Studio to a different location. They wrapped everything and were so professional and extremely patient with my detailed instructions on moving the art and sculptures and tons of various odds and ends and packed them into the truck safely and effectively. Well worth hiring the pros to come in and help. They ROCK! They did not look at me like I was crazy packing up old oil cans and random metal pieces and various sculptural elements. That is a plus! I chose these movers based on Yelp reviews, so it is important that I write a review here and let people know how horrible a job they did on my move. I hired them for packing and moving, because I didn't have enough time to do the packing myself before my last minute move. I had plenty of time to a packing job as terrible as they, did, though!!! If I had known they were just going to do only two things: randomly throw things in boxes with ZERO packing and--when they did wrap things--put them in random order, I would have done it myself. When I say "random order" in the boxes that they actually wrapped things, I mean that there would be a box with a pillow, a dish, a picture, and a shoe in it. No joke. I couldn't find anything when I got to my new place. Unpacking the kitchen took forever; why did they not put all the bowls together, like a normal human would? And why did they wrap my dishes with my blankets? I didn't want my clean blankets getting food residue on them. Thanks for that. When I noticed that they weren't even labeling my boxes, I asked them to do so, and one of the guys snapped "we know what we're doing!!" I should have been monitoring them more closely, because one of the guys only labeled the tops of the boxes, so when they were all stacked at my new place, I had ZERO idea of what was in them or in which room they belonged. They literally put all of my remotes in different boxes. WHY?? On top of all that, they didn't bring enough packing material or allow enough time on packing day, so they didn't finish. That meant more work for me and for the moving day crew, who cost more per hour; was that a mistake? I don't know. These were also the slowest (and therefore most expensive) movers I've ever had. They took twice as long as my last move. They were really nice guys, but that's the only good thing I can say about them. Completely incompetent. read more

I give this company three stars because the crew was really nice But........ one of the movers slipped on the truck as it started to rain at the end of the day and broke the one item in my entire house that meant the most to my wife, a vintage mirror that was her mom's and hers growing up. The mover left and a replacement was sent for him. They took $80 off of the bill. That alone would have been bad but they ran out is space and left several things at the house that we had to go back to get. I even sent a note to the sales rep, but he never replied so here I post this. If someone from the company would have called it would have helped a little. Oh well. Use with caution read more

I've never had to hire movers before so I don't have another experience to compare to. However, with that said, I had to find someone to help me last minute so I came on Yelp and found REAL RocknRoll Movers. I requested an estimate (which is exactly what I was charged) through the website and Ryan/Scott got back to me very quickly. I was looking to move on Sunday but they had an opening Monday morning so I booked it. They were scheduled to come at 10am. I forgot who called me on Sunday to confirm, but they did. And I got a call from Terence Monday morning, they arrived at 10am on the dot, which I was extremely happy about. Promptness is always appreciated! Terence and Dan moved all my stuff (think lots of small boxes and garbage bags of my stuff. They were pretty light, but there was just a lot of them), and unassembled and reassembled my bed frame. I moved a 1/2 mile away so it wasn't too far of a trip but they finished moving everything within 3 hours. The guys were friendly and got the job done. If I need to move again, I will be calling them again, and will be recommending them to anyone who needs movers! read more

The R.RnR Movers lived up to the hype/ expectations. A friend referred them to me, and said nothing but positive things. their site was easy to use, kept me updated and simple. I got confirmation asap. The movers (Brandon and Roy? Sorry guys I forget names.) were amazing. They showed up on time, and remembered the walk through perfectly. With minimal instructions they had moved into the truck what took me 1 week to pack in under 40 minutes. The new place had some odd stairs (as many of the east side homes do) and they went at it without one complaint. Both of them were up beat and positive, despite a gi-freaking-gantic amoire, sweltering sun and odd stairs. The RRnR movers were well worth ever cent. It saved my sanity. When I looked at the price, i realized it was about the same price as my last move where I rented a truck, got friends to move and fed/boozed them afterwards. So, save some sanity. I reached out to RRR Movers, and even though I put on the message I would be moving a 3 bedroom house, I got their standard text message back. I then asked them when they might be available to come to the house and give me an estimate. Got no call, only another text stating I could call the office or book on line. Really? I moved again yesterday and seriously can't say enough positive things about these guys. Courtney, Mitchell and Raanen were my movers and they were kind and took very good care of my things. At the same time they were laid back and cool- very much my style. They had to deal with everything... stairs, weird parking, an elevator and a far walk. Never once did they complain or seem stressed. They also were very respectful of my new place and were careful not to scratch floors. I hate moving- so I hope I never have to do it again, but if I do, I will most certainly use Real Rock-n-Roll movers. All were musicians and I loved talkin' shop and putting money into these artists pockets. As a creative person myself I know hard it can be out there as a "starving artist". I'm not sure I have enough glowing words to describe this company. From the very start, they made a very stressful process easy. The front office answered every one of my questions (no matter how silly). And what can I say about Ben and his crew? Those guys were beyond awesome. They were quick, efficient, professional and so unbelievably nice! They even managed to work their magic to get our refrigerator out of a tight place without removing the doors.
