I've been working in this area for almost 7 years and I haven't heard about this little deli until about a year ago. My friends and coworkers have been there a few times and have been saying that it was really good. So, I finally tried it today. Rebecca's Cafe on Lucerne totally lived up to it's hype! It's a small little deli tucked away between other businesses but don't let it's size fool you. Their sammiches pack a huge punch...right into your gut! And trust me, it's a punch that I could endure on a daily basis! I had the hardest time deciding on what I wanted to order, should I get a salad or get a yummy sammich. I finally came up with a plan to get both. Yes, I'm a pig, but I only ate 1/3 of my salad and 1/2 of my sandwich. I ended up getting the Turkey and Avocado Salad with zero-fat Italian dressing. This was pretty good but the best part was the avocado. Most places skimp and only give you 3 small slices of avocado but Rebecca's gives you at least half of an avocado. It was great but not the best part of my lunch order... Rebecca's Italian Sub - The heavens opened up and dropped this delicious bomb into my mouth and let me tell you that it was DAMN ASS GOOD!!!!! I ordered it with the squaw bread and let me tell you, I could not wipe the silly grin off my face. It was great! Since I only ate half of it, I am so excited to have the rest of it for dinner! My friend got the Classic Italian Sub on a french roll. She said it was outstanding. And my "boss" got the meatball sandwich and said it was amazing. Basically he said it was one of the best he's had around here and that Rebecca's takes a shit on Subway! So if you are in the area and want a yummy deli sandwich, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, go to Subway or Togo's! Go straight to Rebecca's. To get to Rebecca's Cafe, you have to go south of 223rd St on Lucerne and go into the parking lot on the west side of the street. Go straight past a couple buildings and then it'll be their on your right hand side. It is a bit hidden, and is open for the lunchtime crowd -- mainly the folks working at the local businesses (I work just down the street). A coworker had suggested this place to me, and I'm so happy she did. I go here often for lunch, and I usually order the Rebecca's Toss salad, no chicken, no cheese, extra avocado, with their house Italian dressing -- soo freakin good! It's a huge salad with fresh romaine lettuce, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, carrots, and onions. I find myself craving this salad on certain days! It's high quality and inexpensive too! My co-workers and I are constantly searching for fun new spots to check out in Carson and the surrounding areas. Rebecca's Cafe was perfect for a casual Friday lunch out of the office. It's located in a small business complex off of a side street named "Lucerne". Watch for the signs, because you might miss it! There's plenty of parking in the lot, so you don't have to worry about that being an issue. I think most of us ordered the "Half-sandwich, half-salad/soup" combo with a drink. All for only about 7 bucks! I ordered the Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado sandwich, with the house salad. My boss had the clam chowder, and literally licked his bowl clean. I guess it's good! Service was great! There were lots of ladies working hard in the kitchen, and it's obvious they knew what they were doing. I loves me a good sammich! Large portions, tasty with fresh ingredients. I've had the veggie, chicken salad, tuna salad, Italian sub - all good. They offer a half sandwich and soup combo that my friends enjoy. They also offer some pasta dishes and teriyaki plates. Only drawbacks: Can be difficult to find if you don't know where it is. Layout of shop is funky. The area around the door can get kind of packed because the entryway is not clear. Inside seating is limited and can get crowded at lunchtime. No free refills on drinks which always irritates me when they charge you so much for a soda to begin with. Parking lot layout is funky as well. All and all a good spot. read more

The food is really delicious, quick, and cheap. Take it to go or dine in their adorable retro space equipped with old-school Coca Cola decorations and a selection of Time magazines for your perousal. Today I had the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combo-- got the chicken salad sandwich with cream of broccoli. I saw the $10 minimum credit card charge so I threw a bag of bbq potato chips and a snapple iced tea on the counter too. Get this, STILL NOT $10 but she swiped my card anyway, no extra charge. I work in the same center as Rebecca's. It's the go-to-lunch-spot when we're lazy to drive, when it's raining, or when we're working oh so hard and have no time to get out for lunch. Hah. My favorite: their tuna on squaw, their veggie on squaw, the chicken swiss melt, the meatball marinara. For salads, I almost always order Rebecca's Toss. When it feels like a soupy kind of day, I go for their Mexican Tortilla and Clam Chowder (depends on the day). The cheddar broccoli is good too. What else what else... their iced tea is good. The chips selection is yummy... oh and their cookies! We love their chocolate chip cookies. Rebecca's Cafe is a hole in the wall located within a business neighborhood area on 223rd which can only be spotted with their "REBECCA'S CAFE" sign outside the business block. The food is great! They offer delicious hot/cold sandwiches, soups, and salads. My favorite has to be their turkey avocado and bacon sandwich and their Rebecca's Toss salad with oriental dressing. The Rebecca's Toss consist of grilled chicken, avocado, feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers on top of romaine lettuce and I personally like it with their oriental dressing. The place is really small and they get really busy during lunch time (I usually call in my order) considering their location is within business area therefore their hours of operation only cater to the surrounding business hours being only opened from 9am-3pm. I've always tried to find a healthy lunch place oppose to eating unhealthy everyday for lunch and the best i would get was El Pollo loco (Salad) which isn't even really a salad (rice & beans in a salad, really...) plus it barley has lettuce & for what your paying for its not worth it. They make it all fresh, its not pre-made so if you ask them not to include something specific that usually comes in the salad (its not a problem) like most places. I've only ever had the Rebecca's tossed salad (no onion, cucumbers, olives) its absolutely filling, and its like $$7 or 8 something$$ I buy 2 for 15.00 and some change. After having worked in the area for 4+ years and being aware of the place, I finally decided to try it out. I have to say, I'm sorely disappointed in myself for having waited so long! Even though I've only been there twice so far, I can definitely say they've won me over.
