Triple George has become one of my regular stops when I'm in Downtown Fremont, and every visit reminds me why I enjoy coming back. Walking into the restaurant feels like stepping into an old-school steakhouse from another era. The décor has a vintage charm to it, and the atmosphere is warm, classic, and comfortable. My friends were visiting from Japan, and since they had never been here before, I thought it would be a great place for dinner and catching up. The hostess was pleasant and quickly escorted us to our reservation. Our servers, Brandon and Brenda, were both wonderful--friendly, patient, and attentive throughout the evening. Shout-out to them for making the experience even better. We were so deep in conversation that we ordered our salads first, then took quite a while before deciding on our main courses. Brandon and Brenda checked in with us without rushing us, which I really appreciated. Thank you to the team for being so patient while we enjoyed our time together. For starters, my friends loved the shrimp cocktail and classic Caesar salad. I ordered the wedge salad, which is one of my favorites here. It had just the right balance of bleu cheese, crispy bacon, and dressing--flavorful without being overloaded. For entrées, the king cut prime rib was epic. It arrived at the perfect temperature with a generous pool of au jus over the top of that massive cut of meat. I had the truffle burger, and it hit the spot--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Our dinner turned into about two hours of good food, good drinks, and even better conversation--exactly how a meal with friends should be. **** I chose Triple George Grill for my cousin's birthday because of its reputation and premium pricing. With a party of 15, we expected a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. From the start, we were told that several Happy Hour and regular menu items were unavailable or available only in limited quantities. We specifically planned our visit to enjoy both menus, so this was disappointing. When our food finally arrived, several meals were served cold. We politely brought this to our server, Becky, expecting the issue to be addressed. Instead, she became argumentative and combative rather than apologetic or solution-oriented. What could have been a simple fix quickly escalated because of how our concerns were handled. To make matters worse, security was called to our table by an unknown person while we were simply trying to resolve the issue. It was embarrassing to have that happen in front of our family and friends during a birthday celebration. I do want to acknowledge Rueben, who genuinely tried to mediate the situation and make things right. Unfortunately, by then the damage had already been done. The atmosphere had become so uncomfortable that our celebration ended abruptly, and many of us left with cold food and a very disappointing experience. When you're paying premium prices, you expect premium food and customer service. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled is what matters. Sadly, the lack of professionalism and poor customer service overshadowed what should have been a special celebration. I was trying to find an old school steak house and this was suggested by OpenIA. It was a Saturday night. I sat at the bar half way down...and after sitting there for 15 minutes with the service staff walking by without acknowledging...I moved down the bar closer to the door. Server was great, made a nice martini. My complaint is the filet....I was going to order the prime rib but was talked out of it "too fatty" said the bartender. The filet was not a good cut....it has some sinew and not a well-trimmed cut. Just not an experience that was best in class...and I really wanted to find a place off the beaten path I could brag about. read more

Triple George Grill is such a cozy spot with dim lighting that sets the perfect mood. They've got a diner-style counter, plus intimate booths and tables. The menu is straightforward, but the specials are what keep me coming back. This visit I tried the tomahawk special and it was incredible. Had high expectations for Triple George based on what I read but left with mixed feelings. Ordered the $70 dry-aged rib eye medium, and it came out well-done. They offered to cook up a new one. Second one was better but still overcooked. I could tell it was a good cut of steak and well seasoned, but overcooking two steaks is a bit much for a steakhouse. On the bright side, the scallops and Brussels sprouts were excellent. My friend got the truffle burger well-done, but it came out undercooked. Even the table next to us said their prime rib was served cold... so definitely some consistency issues in the kitchen. Management comped the steak and burger, which I commend them for, but surprised the manager didn't apologize for the errors. Our waitress was great, and I could tell she felt bad that our food turned out the way it did. Has dinner here Saturday night before seeing the Nutcracker. We did the special which is a Caesar salad, tomahawk steak, one side (we did Brussel sprouts) and one slice cheesecake. We also ordered calamari (not so good) and mashed potatoes. The steak was tough. Mashed potatoes were okay. Everything else was really good. We were ignored by our server. I think she might have gone on a smoke break and forgot about us. When she came back to the table she smelled of smoke. I love Triple George. Sad to report a not so great experience. Classy meets Delicious! If I was considering the food only, this would a strong contender for my favorite steakhouse ever. My husband and I decided to try their steak dinner for 2 which included a Caesar salad for each of us and an enormous Tomahawk Ribeye, one side of our choice, and one slice of cheesecake to share. This also included their red wine reduction sauce, but we added Bernaise sauce as well along with 2 scallops. We went with a loaded baked potato as our side in keeping with a classic steak dinner. Everything was wonderful and worth being overstuffed when the meal ended. I should give special mention to the complementary bread basket served with butter and herbed vinegar, as well as the wine selection. The Argentinian Malbec I chose was fantastic with the ribeye. We found their Caesar salads not quite traditional as they pulverize their croutons into crispy breadcrumbs, but they definitely use anchovies in their dressing (a positive for us). I loved that they plated the perfectly cooked medium-rare ribeye with roasted garlic and peppers that really enhanced the incredibly flavorful meat. I'm also so glad we added those sweet and tender scallops. Finally, the one "slice" of cheesecake was almost a comical joke. It was the size of 4 slices and perfectly balanced somewhere between creamy, fluffy, and dense. The restaurant offers the sort of dim private booths covered in dark paneling that I thought only existed in old movies and provided a wonderful setting for the huge meal. Service was slightly slow, but they were aware of it and apologized in advance, so no complaints there either. I'm rounding up from a 4.5, but don't hesitate to come here if you're in Downtown Las Vegas. When this place opened, it used to be the talk of the downtown area. We went for a happy hour once, but decided to give it a try for dinner...so we made a reservation for a Friday night. When we got there they sat us in the bar area, and it was a little loud, but it was also a private booth..so I liked that part about it. We started off with two prosecco...that was quite lovely with dinner. They started us with a bread basket that was really good. It had a whipped butter with a garlic sauce pooled at the bottom...great way to start a meal. We split an 8 oz filet and got a side of mash potatoes and a side of brussel sprouts. They did not do a split plate charge...I thought that was a very nice touch. We got a side of peppercorn sauce for the steak, yet the steak did not need it...it stood out on its own and tasted delicious! Service was on point and I really enjoyed this meal...I will very likely return if downtown and wanting to class it up a little bit. Both sourdough bread was not of the same caliber in Tadich, nor was there cippino. Both the Ceaser and Fremont street salad was some of the best salad I've had. Wooooooooooow! My mom and I just had one of the best dinners at triple George grill tonight. Staying at El Cortez, we were going to have dinner at Siegle's 1941, but ended up finding this sweet spot not a far walk away. Going in, we were seated immediately to a tucked away booth that felt personal and comfortable. (They are on OpenTable if you want to make reservations!) My mom and I got the steak dinner deal for 2. It included 2 Cesar salads with freshly ground pepper, a tomahawk steak cooked to perfection with a garlic butter on top, red wine sauce, and side of asparagus, finished by 2 slices of cheesecake for $175. We also finished the dinner with cappuccino which was TOTAL WORTH IT! The food really did speak for itself, but what really was above and beyond was the service and kindness of the staff. I felt like the staff truly cared and the food came to the table in an extremely timely manner. Manager Cory was truly kind -- reassured the casual dress code and is leading an incredible staff including our waiter Brandon who made awesome suggestions and was kind and efficient. 5 stars -- Triple George's is a downtown Vegas must. We had dinner at Triple George's on New Year's Day and it was a ballet of hospitality... the kind of service that feels rare lately. They actually pick up the phone when you call! And from the host to the servers to the entire crew, everyone brought their best to the table warm, attentive, professional, and somehow still relaxed and human... even on New Year's Day. And the food? Perfection. Our steaks were cooked exactly right, beautifully paced, and genuinely delightful from start to finish. You can tell this place takes pride in doing it the right way... no gimmicks, just classic Vegas steakhouse excellence and a fun, professional team that makes you feel like family. Where is that these days? Also: the staff had this bright sense of humor that only comes from teamwork and being appreciated. My guest ordered the black salmon, I the parmesan chicken and we split a salad and creme brulee. Salad was ok, a little too garlicky, ate it nonetheless. My guests salmon wasn't horrible I'd say 6/10. My dish had rubbery chicken and was slightly oversalted 3/10. I didn't finish my meal ( usually do) Creme brulee wasn't bad 6/10. This is a place off of Fremont street. Not real far and well worth the short walk. The reviews were good so we gave it a try. It is priced a bit lower than most of the Vegas steakhouses around. We were able to just walk in as it was a Thursday. The Ambiance is really cool, kind of old Vegas style. Lots of wood. We had a booth which is fun and intimate. I ordered the Queens cut of prim rib and the wife ordered the chicken parmigiana. She actually wanted the pot pie but they were out. She was bummed. The parm was very large and could be easily shared. The prim rib was 16 oz and was good but a little tough. Get it rare and it might be better. We also had the crispy brussels sprouts. They were good and the cranberry's balanced out the bitterness of the vegetables. The service was AMAZING. We were seated quickly and our food came out fast also. This restaurant is a must if you are anywhere near Fremont St. We have lived in Vegas for 2 years now and have been wanting to try this place, I'm sad we didn't sooner. Upon entering the service was great, our hostess showed us to our table immediately, we were about 20 minutes early for our reservations. It gives old school vibes, only a little more upscale! We ordered cocktails that were great, the complimentary bread and dip were so tasty. The bread was warm and soft and the butter and dip with it was really flavorful! Our entrees of ribeye sandwich and lobster roll both with fries were absolutely delicious! The service was amazing, we never wanted for anything and the restaurant was pretty full not long after we sat down. We ordered a dessert of butter cake to go and that was so good, highly recommended! We will be back because there are other things we want to try. Our favorite place to sit is at the bar, taking advantage of the quick service, opportunity to talk with other patrons, and the food which is usually excellent. I made reservations here a week ahead of time (for yesterday), expecting amazing food given the reviews. First, let me say the service was stellar. Our server was amazing and so informative. The host was friendly and attentive. Second, the ambiance was perfect. We got a nice booth (which is nice because they are very private and they dull out the noise from the center of the restaurant). Third, the location was perfect because we stayed at the downtown grand, which is across the street. But then came the food. I was REALLY HOPING my steak would be good. My friend and I both ordered the porcini crusted ribeye. Both of the steaks weren't hot. Mine was room temp. My friend's was lukewarm. Also, he ordered medium well. He got REALLY well. He mentioned he couldn't even cut it well. I did receive medium well--but I was disappointed with the temperature (or lack of). He and I shared a baked potato and asparagus. (Sides can probably be shared with two people). My other two friends enjoyed their food. They shared a wedge salad and got different food orders. (One got a burger and the other got a bone in ribeye--which seemed fine for her). We have eaten at this establishment many times but our recent experience was not good. April 30th 2026. Our steak (ribeye )was overcooked. Our lobster Mac was dry. Our French fries over cooked. The hamburger was almost burnt. Our salad, baked potato and clam chowder was good. For the price of all the food. Which we don't mind paying it should be cooked to perfection. I was really disappointed with my experience tonight at Triple George Grill. The service was very absent and forgetful to say the least. They forgot several items including some of the sides with the steaks. I ordered the surf and turf medium rare like a good steak is supposed to be prepared. Unfortunately it was cooked to med well temp. They took so long to bring the included desserts so we just canceled it. They didn't charge me for the overcooked steak but still charge me $55 for the small lobster tail. The price are way to high for the quality of food and service. My bill was $435 plus tip. They didn't really deserve a tip but I left a small one anyway. Obviously I do not recommend Triple George. read more
