Fair pub food for steakhouse price. Bar is in the Hyatt Regecy O'Hare Chicago. Not a destination bar. We've stayed at the Hyatt several times for dance competitions over the years and eat/drink at the bar. Paid $135 before tip for two burgers, a wrap, and a couple beers and a glass of wine. Burger buns were either stale or freezer burned and fell apart. Tasted meh. I do travel often and comparing this bar to other higher-end hotel bars, price is similar but the food was well below standard for the price. Saving grace - convenience if staying at the hotel. Also we went back later in the evening for 1/2 price for bottle of wine special and that was fine. Based on the food experience I cannot go above a 2 star for the price expectation. Hint if staying at the Hyatt - parking sucks. Several local pubs a few miles and a $10 Uber away. Pay the extra transportation costs and get some good food for your money. If you're looking to just hang for a beer or wine in the evening, it's your standard hotel bar. read more

Staying at Hyatt for a flight tomorrow and the bar's location is very convenient for any hotel guests . Friendly staff but took them a while to figure out who was suppose to take care of me since it was open seating. Being by myself on this trip, the big screen TV's kept me company. I highly recommend their steak sandwich served medium rare, it was beyond my expectation a bar sandwich. I would come back again. read more

Typical hotel bar and restaurant. However, there was a good burger and brew special, where you order both at a discounted price. Burger was actually better than I expected. The server was a little slow at first but was friendly and helpful. If you're staying at the Hyatt OHare, it's an easy option for dinner. read more

Amazing stayed here for a graduation ceremony for Chamberlin College of Nursing my only wish is that they would open before 4pm some of our flights were in by 10 am and with all of the stress we could've all used a shot and and a beer at noon. A relative of mine was staying at this Hyatt for a night to do business, so myself and my family met up here to eat and drink. The previous reviews did sure help to alleviate my fears about this place being really bad, since I luckily realized a few hours in advance that this is where we were going to likely end up at. I'd put this at 2.5 stars. I still can't help but admit it was average, and that I got the impression that this was better for drinks than for eating. Ordered the chicken nachos, and while they weren't bad, they didn't blow me away either. Tried a few fries that another person got, and they just seemed typical for fries. Also tried a quesadilla that a different person ordered, and I got the feeling I had better. I just only ordered a beer, but did notice that a person who ordered a gin and tonic there happened to like it. The yelper who said earlier in his/her review that you're paying for the bar's atmosphere with their food/drink prices hit the bullseye with that description. Also my dad described it correctly, by saying it felt like a million other sports bars(along those lines, but I added to him that it felt more upscale atmosphere-wise, than a typical sports bar). If I had to find a place in this area to eat dinner at and was paying(luckily my relative who was on business paid with his business account), I probably would've hit one of the nearby Park at Rosemont(next to Muvico) restaurants/bars instead. And that not surprisingly was what I suggested at first, since I remember reading about that development opening up online. More I think about it(and unlike when I first wrote this), I think I'd round down on this instead of up, particularly when you consider that I was hoping the food would be a tad better here. Had some delicious drinks here while waiting for the shuttle to pick us up to get to Rosewood. I took off points, however, because the service seemed to be a little off that day. But at the end up the night, way after closing hours, they let us take up a section of the bar for our impromptu BYOB late-nite crowd! All in all, a pretty nice place! read more

3.5 We arrived from the west coast at the hotel and were hungry. Because it was 4:30 pm in Chicago, it was a bit early for dinner, but since we left Tahoe at the crack of dawn and hadn't eaten all day, anything that resembled food looked appetizing to us. With the two hour difference, our bodies were confused. We opted for a bunch of items from the sushi bar. Reno, the nearest big city to where I live, is quite well known for its AYCE sushi bars, so I had a bit of a sticker shock to see that 2 rolls here basically was equivalent of an all you can eat dinner at home. I thought the sushi, for the price, was not that great. Everything just fell apart as soon as you picked it up with chopsticks. The service was not great. The waitress kept forgetting things. It was 3 degrees outside and we asked for water with no water. They kept giving us water with ice. We needed chopsticks. We had to ask for utensils. Ugh. And THERE WERE TOO MANY TVS. For $120 for 2 people, that was an expensive mistake for us. read more

After giving a presentation, I decided to stop here for a quick lunch before heading into the city. I thought the staff was pretty attentive, nice and fast. The menu was pretty diverse and I was able to order something that fit within my dietary needs, which was the cobb salad. The salad was a good size and ended up being much better than I expected. I was in and out in about 30 min and was even able to work with the free wi-fi that the hotel offered. I hear the sushi is amazing here and will probably order that the next time I am in town. read more

Roasted chicken was decent, but this review is about Evona who took over for my original bartender. Evona blew her nose twice into a napkin twice with her back turned away from me. No big deal with the nose blowing, but Evona didn't wash her hands at all. To top it off she dug a red cup into the ice bin with her unclean hands. I was beyond disgusted and left soon after. I expected better training for wait staff for a hotel in the heart of the convention district. DO BETTER Evona. This happened on my first night and I refused to eat at the location again. read more

Was staying at the hotel for a few nights. Would normally have room service but decided to eat in the bar. Service was fine, wine was just okay and food was average. I had the pesto bacon pasta. It was definitely a good size portion, however it was a serious overload of pesto. A little too overpowering so I couldn't taste anything else in the dish. Every time I have been here, it was due to some type of work event. So I don't have oodles of insight to offer here. I will say that the bar staff tend to be fairly efficient. The prices are a bit too much for what you get, but you are paying for the convenience. The facility is located within the Hyatt. This Hyatt happens to be fairly isolated. Meaning, if you think you are going to go exploring by walking around in the winter time, and you are say from the West Coast and showed up with your wind breaker; good luck. So either bring warmer clothes, take a taxi or of course you have Red Bar as an option. read more

There was a buffet special for $12 but we opted to get something tasty off the menu. The food was pretty good for bar food. The drinks were tasty too. First to thing to accept is the the fact this is a restaurant in a hotel. So expect pricing to be a little steep. I started off the spinach and artichoke dip which was good. One my favorite appetizers of all time. I then got an Angus burger which that costed about $13 but it did fill me up after that dip. I think the "seat yourself and wait for a server" is a poor business model for this bar. I saw two people leave because no one noticed them for about 10 minutes. Rarely do I order Nachos, yet tonight I just felt like having them. They are cheap quality and below sub standard here. Super Thick mass produced unauthentic chips. Wasn't sure if they were stale or just horrible. Nasty Plastic cheese. Jalapeños straight from a jar (so gross). And nearly non existent 'avocado cream'. The nachos were horrible, with prepackaged toppings (nothing fresh) and non foodie. Chicago is a city boasting some of the best food in the country. Its a bar in a hotel, I didn't like this place at all, I went there because I got a coupon for 50$, and when I came they told me that I have to make an order not less than 100$ to use this coupon, which is very strange because theirs prices are high, beer cost 7 or 8$ per bottle, cocktails about 12$ and regular cheeseburger and fries about 13-15$, its a high prices for that kind a place, somewhere in a hotel. So I didn't really save any money for this coupon. 3 starts just because of waiter, she was really good server and such a nice person. read more

Good thing my expectations for hotel food in Rosemont were already pretty low. Service was fine. Mojito was large, but still pretty pricy and way too sweet. French fries were flavorless and undercooked. The maki we ordered as an appetizer was falling apart at the seams - i.e. it was not even rolled up all the way - sort of like what happened the first time I attempted homemade sushi. I guess when you have a captive audience at a suburban hotel, you don't have to excel at your craft though. Stayed at the Hyatt for business and have sushi a try the first night for convenience. Pretty bad and appeared store bought. Not too cheap either. Obviously we had no choice but to go to this location for good and drinks since this was the only place open at the hotel. I ordered buffalo wings during last call and asked for ranch dressing. My wings came out with blue cheese , no big deal it happens kitchen messes up. I reminded the server that I wanted ranch and she came back telling me that the kitchen was closed. She asked her manager SCOTT (that was the name i was told unless she lied) and he said the same thing. The manger was rude to his employee in front of customers which is not ok looks bad for a business. Now I feel like Hyatt treats both customers and employees like crap. Ended up here after not being able to get a reservation at Capital Grill down the street and lets just say we were impressed. The hotel is beautiful and the food was good we ended up with the sushi and and burger and both were delicious. The prices were also very reasonable with our bill for appetizers drink and the sushi and burger coming to $80. Definitely coming back. read more

My wife and I went to the Red Bar in Rosemont for a late evening dinner. I must say we have lived in the neighborhood for over 7 years and we have never been there. The appetizers were excellent, we had the marinated chicken quesadillas. For our entrees, my wife had the grilled cheese and I had the Angus burger, both were very good and prices were comparable to other restaurants, like Chili's or Longhorn for example. The price of drinks was quite expensive, but they were mixed and proportioned well, and tasted good. For dessert, we shared an apple pie, like all the food, it was outstanding. Our waitress, a pleasant young lady with accent, was professional and gave us just the right amount of attention. My wife and I will definitely be going back to the Red Bar. Oh yes, use the valet service, if you eat at the restaurant or the bar, valet parking is free, just keep your receipt and show it to the valet. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. Seriously, the worst restaurant service of my life. Not once, but twice in a row. Last night we waited 20 minutes to be greeted (after asking the bartenders for service, and no they were not busy) then the manager Jose promised a better experience if we came back for half off. We came back, waited another 20 mins for drinks as our cold food was brought out right after. The sever never rang in several items from our table, then the manager Jose refused to make the forgotten items because the kitchen was closed. He also tried to blame us for the server not ringing in the food... And we are still paying for half the food. I have never received such awful service from servers or managers.
