This is the worst BBQ we've ever had. The meats were filled with fat, the texture and BBQ taste was terrible, the corn had a horrible taste as did the beans. The cornbread tasted like rancid oil. Between reading the reviews and smelling the smoke, I had high hopes for this place when I walked in. Alas, it was not meant to be. While the place isn't half bad, I have really high standards for BBQ and this place is far from that bar. I ordered the three meat combo with ribs, Brisket, and BBQ Dark meat chicken. These guys give you a LOT OF FOOD for very little money. Probably enough for three meals, actually with the three meat combo. The chicken was easily the best of the three meats, and fairly decent in general... so if you're trying this place out, make sure you grab some chicken. The ribs and brisket weren't great, though. Ribs were tender but flavorless and the brisket wasn't smoked nearly as long as it needed to be. It's ok, for the price, but I wouldn't recommend this place for BBQ lovers. read more

I ordered takeout through Doordash. As soon as I picked up the bag I was concerned about the distinctive odor of a dentist office which I've always assumed is some kind of unique disinfectant so I quickly stripped off the bag and threw it away. I also noticed the odor on the shell food containers but I had to transfer the food to a baking sheet for reheating anyway so I threw those away. Luckily I didn't detect the smell on the food. Later I was looking for the location of the restaurant and noticed it's next to a dentist office and now I'm a little concerned and a little disgusted that there's contamination going on between the dentist office which deals with acrylics, formaldehyde and tooth dust and the restaurant. Both businesses should do something immediately to seal off any airflow between them. Maybe the area where you store your bags and containers shares a wall with the dentist office and there are gaps? read more

Everything we have ordered from here is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous. My husband and I each like the 2 meat 2 sides combo, and it is under $12 with enough food for two filling meals. The quality and flavors are both excellent. We regularly order: - smoked pulled pork - bbq 1/4 chicken leg - bbq sliced beef - mac salad - baked beans - cornbread - rice - coleslaw The pulled pork has delicious sweet bbq sauce and is not overly smoky. It's nicely shredded although sometimes includes some fat pieces that weren't picked out. The chicken is juicy and tender. The baked beans are sweet and swimming in lots of extra sauce that is great for your rice or as extra for your meat. The cornbread is nicely ground and comes as a generous wedge with a buttery honey dipping sauce. All the sides we've tried are fresh and mild and balance the flavorful meats. I wish they would add collard greens to their menu--then it would be perfect. The only thing I have not been satisfied with was that when we order online, we have selected tamarind Jarritos sodas several times and they brought us only the mandarin orange flavor, which we don't like and would have preferred not to pay for it and drank our tap water instead. Maybe they ran out of the other flavors; it's still worth a five star review and is my favorite restaurant on Santa Rosa Grubhub/Yelp delivery. read more

The cornbread and the honey butter it comes with is still the best thing they offer. Ribs had a tasty bbq sauce too. The house salad came stacked with stuff on it. I'm talking: carrots, onions, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, 3 kinds of beans, broccoli, celery, and shredded cheese. I'm not sure how they got it in the small takeout box, it was 2/3 toppings! When I made it down to the lettuce it was mostly iceberg cores. I should have taken a picture it turned into such a mess. The clincher was when le chef said his brisket tasted strange...like soap.
