Perfect consistency, soft tofu, and so flavorful! It was like having a warm hug from my childhood. I didn't go inside so I can't speak to the atmosphere in the restaurant, but everything I ordered was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and packaged for delivery with care. The food is pretty inconsistent here. Some days it's too salty, some days it's great. My go to are the salt and pepper prawns and Mongolian beef. But I've tried their noodles, fried rice and other protein and the experience is different every time and you never know what you're going to get. Ordered delivery, the bag came zip tied and carefully packaged which made me happy to see. I haven't ordered in a few years and noticed a huge improvement with the food from what I remember. I did sweet and sour fish (sauce on the side) and the house spicy rice. There were a lot of big pieces of fish, more fish than vegetables. Fish was crispy and really light, with the sauce adding the heavier savory element. The fried rice was delicious, all the food came piping hot. Again, for a house special, the amount of meat included was generous and didn't taste greasy. Really loved my meal, I have a ton of leftovers and look forward to having it for lunch. My go to take out spot, no dine in or vibes. They changed ownership so the 3/$30 special is no longer valid, but the prices are still reasonable. Porridges average 12.95 and they give a decent amount of meat with your order! Definitely good bang for your buck. West lake soup was similarly priced also with a strong meat ratio. Consistently, when I ordered the chicken string bean, the container was 2/3 (or more) chicken. If you're trying to bulk up and get more protein, this is definitely the spot. All the containers are always packed to the brim. If you go early and watch them pack your food, you might see your soup or food spilling out as they close (like I did). Portion sizing is very good. Current owners are no longer Cantonese (mandarin speaking now) but understand some! Their English is good as well. There is a parking lot but it's often full due to a convenience store being next store (perfect if you want a specific drink with your meal. I've seen many people double park to go in and out. I was craving for chinese food at 1:30am on a monday night. China delights opened till 2am. Arrived at 1:40am, ordered beef chow fun. Order was finished in 5 mins. The beef chow fun was delicious. Had a lot of wok hay and the beef was well marinated. Cost 14$ for the beef chow fun, which is the average pricee at other dim sum restaurants. This has no right being this good..... but it is. It's a hole in the wall Chinese place, and I thought the reviews were overstating it.... Nope this stuff is the real deal. Honestly one of the best things I've had in the bay, and I'd say the pork spare ribs can hold their own when compared to San Tung's wings. The wings win, but not by much. The serving portions are extremely healthy, and great value. I'm a big guy with a huge appetite and I could stretch this into 4 meals (main container not pictured, this is about 40% of the entree on my plate) or 2 meals if I'm really hungry. It's second place in SF for my go to Chinese food (first place is in Chinatown and they close early). I went to this place once before, happy they were open late (one of a very few places that is) but the shrimp chow mein I had was just average. I ordered something else but couldn't remember what that was so decided to give this place another chance and tried the Kung Pao chicken -- and it was a major disappointment. I do appreciate that they just use chicken breast, no dark meat chicken, but, for me, the chicken isn't cooked long enough -- it has that sort of rubbery texture. Then there was the Kung Pao sauce which, sadly, tasted tomato-based, almost even ketchup-y. Not pleasant at all. Sure, lots of nice, fresh vegetables and plenty of the traditional burnt peanuts, but with meh chicken and sauce I just couldn't eat it and threw it out. I'm being generous with the three stars but they do get props for being open late as well as being very nice people behind the counter, and with so many 5-star reviews maybe I'm being a little too picky(?), but it just doesn't have the flavors and consistency I like in my Chinese food. read more

We got our food and it was good but I wouldn't say worth the price. We only got 2 pieces of shrimp in our fried rice and the orange chicken flavor was good but the chicken was kind of chewy. Also the menu that is on yelp is not updated at all. The chow mein was delicious 10/10. Shrimp dumplings were decent, personally I wish they had more shrimp fillings but overall good. Ive lived in the area for two years now, and Im annoyed I never took this place seriously. I went last night and got the Chicken Chow Mein and the Sweet and Sour Pork. Both Dishes were very delicious. The Chicken Chow Mein was surprisingly flavorful and very filling. The Sweet and Sour Pork was extremely tender, covered in sauce, and paired with pineapple and some veggies. I loved it, and I initially was not even going to get the pork! The lady was very kind, and my order was ready in 10 minutes. A bit on the pricier side but I did order two entrées, so I guess that makes sense. It really helps that they stay open til 2.
