Combo C for 2 people. And a service charge for $11.62?
Peter J.

Don't let the location fool you. As a Korean, I walked in a little skeptical... but this spot actually delivered. Solid 4-star Korean BBQ. Banchan (side dishes) game was strong. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and they kept it coming. Good variety of meats too, so you're not stuck ordering the same thing over and over. Only reason it's not a full 5 stars is because some of the meats came out a bit chewy and not as tender as I'd like. Not a dealbreaker, just something they could tighten up. One thing I didn't really like was the slippery floor, probably from oil spills while changing the grill. Just something to be careful about. Shoutout to our server, "Asian Juan" (or Hu-an? Lol ). Dude was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience better. Would definitely come back.

Chips and salsa as a starter?! Whhhat?

We did a thang... we cheated on our favorite U-Grill and honestly, we'd do it again. Red Castle had so many options, good prices, and great service....Even the ambiance is great. The biggest difference was the variety of meats. There were way more choices than we're used to -- the curry pork belly alone was a standout. They also had a ton of sauces and some really good ones. There was a green jalapeño sauce that went so well with the steak, and even a chipotle sauce that was surprisingly good and definitely noteworthy. The banchan selection was great too. They even had tteokbokki as a banchan, which was a fun surprise. Even my boyfriend loved the banchan and he's a total banchan brat. The only thing I could even think to nitpick was that they had Pepsi Zero instead of Diet Coke... but that's honestly a stretch and definitely not a deal breaker. We live by U-Grill, but we'll most likely be frequenting Red Castle from now on

Wait time is horrible

I'm really disappointed in this place. First of all, we got here on a Tuesday and it was already an hour wait. On top of that, the service was pretty bad. It took forever just to get a refill. I also tried to order a side of fries for my three-year-old son and was willing to pay for it separately, but they told me I couldn't unless I upgraded the entire table to the next pricing level. I asked if I could just pay for the fries on their own and the guy simply said no. To make matters worse, they automatically add a $15 service charge to your bill without really explaining what it's for. Seeing that on the bill was frustrating, so I just counted that as the tip. Overall, not a great experience and I most likely won't be coming back.

Amazing Korean BBQ with excellent service! Our server this time was very attentive and was happy to get larger portions of banchan for us. I ate so much kimchi and radish. This was our second time here last night. We got the C tier. I wish the steamed egg was included in the highest tier, but for all steamed egg fans, it's a separate 3.99 charge. Our favorite meat is pork belly and beef belly. I highly recommend mixing the these with the corn cheese and making little nachos or tacos using the rice paper and tortilla chips they give you. We can't wait to find another reason to celebrate and come back. The overall vibe inside is very chill and is great for a date night or birthday. Although the Soju is pretty pricey, it goes so well with all the meat and is worth!

This place is huge. Renovated I think. Ken was super friendly and helpful. This time was a positive experience. One of the cheapest kbbq still! When you come here and you see Ken. Please say "Hi Ken!" Food was good. No complaints this time around! They've improved!

This place is okay. Great price but some things were not so great like the spicy tofu soup, tempura and sides. One side that was really good is the chicken wings. It was evenly fried and well marinated. Their brisket was lean and red.

Very cool ambiance and helpful staff , this is my second visit and the first time was a Monday so the wait was minimal for dinner time . This time we came on a Sunday and it was pretty busy as I expected, we waited about an hour maybe less but we didn't mind as the whole experience is worth it . Their top package is 36.99 (4/19/26) and for the choices on food you get I feel is definitely an awesome deal , their marinades are delicious and their apps (included in the ayce) hit the spot , I tried their veg tempura and it was one of the best I had so far , light and crispy, bugogi ribeye is a must , short ribs , garlic pork belly and even their fries are great . Even though this is the type of place where the staff pulls tips and everyone helps everyone, i didn't feel abandoned and it was quite the opposite, all very friendly and quick to help or answer any questions newbie's like us may have . You order thru a screen and it's a bit daunting at first but you get the hang of bit quite quickly , you pick your package you want and the you're able to order 3 items at the time for a 2 hr period I believe. Definitely recommend you the their top deal and start with some meat on the grill and them get yourself some apps for the second round to get things going. Come try them out !

Join their waitlist upon entry; ample seating at the entrance. You' can check your place in line via Yelp; and you'll get a text message when your table is ready. Servers are fast & efficient and will come by often to change the grill and check if you need anything. Meat is ordered via a tablet at your table, and is delivered fairly quickly. Pricing is $19.99 for menu A (which includes beef belly, pork belly, beef bulgogi, and a few chicken options) and is a deal, especially for AYCE kbbq!

Food is delicious. Wouldn't recommend it if you're a vegetarian like myself. This was a great place for my friend who really enjoyed the beef. We ordered Menu A. I got the tofu soup, but had to request it without meat. The service was kind even though they seemed very rushed. It started to get busy quick around 12:30pm on a weekend. The ambiance is very social w/ lots of sizzling as you cook your meet in front of you. Decent price for a buffet. You can only order 3 items at a time w/ a time limit until you can order again.

Came here on a Saturday night in November 2025. We waited 1 hour (in our car). For a table. Super cool that you can see the wait list and your progress. The veggies arrived quickly and meats super fast after we ordered. Had to ask for rice twice. We also asked for the heat to be turned up and the guy seemed annoyed that we asked. Meats were yummy and most portions were generous. It was worth the buck. Just mind the added service charge.

The iPad you ordered the food from
Bridgette Q.

This was a decent Korean spot. They offered a little variety of fusion with Mexican food, but their meats were fine. Their sides were good. They do offer a variety of side items. I appreciate that the way you order is due an iPad. It just gives you more of time to look through the menu and see what you really wanna order and I'll have to wait to wave down a waitress. It's really difficult to go wrong with Korean barbecue. It's grilling meats one of my favorite things to do but like I say, give it a try and then you decide.

They went to a table side ordering system recently, so convenient!!!

This is our happy place! The menu upgrade is a great deal, we are just always so relaxed when we're here!! Food is always fresh and the ban chans on par. Our go to kbbq place now!

Chips & salsa!! Salsa was delish!!

When I heard Red Castle had KBBQ for $19.99, I thought it was a typo, a prank, or a glitch in the matrix...so naturally, I called 3x just to be sure. Spoiler: it was real, and my stomach and I were ready!!! Pulled up w my daughter, and BAM.... line was longer than the DMV on a Monday. Checked in via Yelp like the modern foodies we are, and we were 11th in line. Waited 30 minutes, which in KBBQ time is basically express lane status. Went w Menu A (aka the budget-friendly dream): brisket, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi..... all marinated like someone's Korean grandma whispered secrets into them. Banchan was solid, and YES, they had japchae, the noodle MVP!!! Ssamjang tasted like it was blended w love and magical ingredients. Now here's the plot twist: while waiting, they served us CHIPS & SALSA. At a KBBQ!!!!! And it was fire!! Spicy, legit, and made me question everything I knew about culinary boundaries!!! Fusion, people!! Big thanks to Isayana & Tony for top-tier service. And seriously.... where else can you get quality KBBQ for under $20? Not even my favorite spot in San Diego can touch that on happy hour prices!! Overall, amazing spot!!! Super affordable, its a steal!!! Go hungry, go w friends, bring your entire family, in-laws, and your neighbors too and prepare for your wallet and your taste buds to be happy!!!!!

20 dlls the cheapest menu for each person so around 60 for 2 people

Unfortunately, we do not offer gift cards at this time.

How clean is your restaurant?

Yes

Do they have tortillas here?

Yes, we have

Do you guys take reservations?

Sorry, we do not take reservation.

Do they serve lettuce wraps if u asked?

No. Not that I know. I have asked for rice paper but they discontinued it they informed me. I get raddish wraps. But don't know if they offer lettuce wraps.

Do they allow birthday cakes, I'm planning to go for a birthday and want to know if they'll allow a birthday cake?

Yes I've seen people bring there own cake

A service charge appeared on receipt. Anyone know anything about this fee? It was $5.40 for a party of 2, Menu A. Recent visit.

I noticed the same thing last week so I asked. It's a tip. Apparently they weren't getting tipped by people, so they started adding their own.

Will they ever start using rice paper? if price is increasing a might as well provide the basics .

They used to. I doubt they will bring it back. Red castle still the best place for the price. Compared to other KBBQ

Do they accept Apple Pay?

Yes

What is the grade on this restaurant?

Recently when I went 09/17/2022 it was an A grade

Can you accomodate big party for 30 people?

I would say yes but they always answer the phone so it wouldn't hurt to call and personally ask them because who knows if you would need to reserve at that point.

What is the salad vinaigrette they use?

Sorry not sure what they call it. You should call and ask them.

Are noodles other than the glass ones a side dish option?

Which noodles specifically? Cause they do have a side dish of glass noodles like most Korean BBQ has but it is not that flavorful like the rest of the dishes. It's just okay. Hope this helps.

Got a notification for patio seating? Is this true? Been here several times and never saw outdoor seating...

They do indoor since they open again. Maybe the table near the windows meant patio seating.

Can I order uncooked meat for like 20 people?

To go? I don't think so but u can go to the ASAIN market like 99 ranch or h mart to get the same meat!

With the menu options you get unlimited of whatever is on the menu?

Yes it's an All you can eat joint

Any pictures of the open patio seating? Wondering about the social distancing

There is no outdoor al patio, they have big windows that they open. Tables are separated...

Is dine in available now or outdoor seating?

Yes, they are now open in the patio area.

Are you guys open for dine in yet?

They only open for take out

We stuck with the regular because they said it was good enough, and yeah, it was plenty good. However I would try the premium menu on my next visit. Place is clean and spacious, which I liked. Our server Cordell and everyone was fast and on point. We ordered through the tablet right at the table, service was quick, and the meats turned out really delicious. Especially loved the beef brisket, beef belly, top blade steak, (356 steak- our favorite), LA galbi, 356 bulgogi, and the seasoned short rib cubes. Meats were juicy, tasty, tender and side banchan dishes were outstanding. Great spot, definitely recommend for Korean BBQ in area. So I wouldn't recommend this spot if the aim is to watch a game while eating. When we went, around 4pm on a weekday, it was pretty empty and started to fill after 5pm. I appreciate that we were greeted and seated right away with ice cold water. To order, you have a tablet at your table that can rotate left and right. You can put about 10 orders (including sides) which would then be brought to your table and the ordering is locked for 10 minutes so you want to choose your meats wisely but you can vocally request sides from your server, if needed. Cocktails and beers have to be ordered with your server. They advertise that every person at the table is charged, except for kids. I noticed there was an automatic gratuity fee for party's larger than 6. You can choose between the premium menu ($59) or regular ($42). I would say its a bit on the pricey side but the meat provided was high quality. We were pleasantly surprised by their la galbi and 356 steak. Overall, we enjoyed all the meats and sides. There could have been more of an effort to clean the grease from seats and the tablets, but its kbbq so residue can be hard to remove.

The restaurant is trendy, kind of dark, reminds of pub or club in a way. Service is friendly and they are super busy. I waited around 5-10 minutes for my order. The food is 4 meats and 3 sides. Basically they bbq the meat of your choices and put them in a to go box with rice and japchae (stir fry glass noodles). Rice is okay, japchae is savory and good. Dishes are greasy, flavorful, and sweet. I love the calamari steak. Good to order when you want more protein and noise and good BBQ dinner at home without getting the smells of BBQ on your clothes.

She said, "Yes." Honestly, what the hell kind of service is this? So before my other friends arrive, I'm not even qualified to sit down? This is supposed to be a service business, yet they can't even provide the most basic level of service or respect. We turned around and left immediately. I came here to spend money, not to beg for a seat. If you can't give customers even the most basic respect, maybe it's no surprise your restaurant is completely empty.
