We came here on a Friday night with friends after the place we originally planned to go to had a very long wait. This restaurant was nearby, so we decided to give it a try without high expectations since they offer both AYCE and individual orders. Surprisingly, it wasn't just the meat, but the vegetables. The owner grows the vegetables in their own garden, and they were incredibly fresh and delicious. Honestly, that alone deserves a 5/5. The doenjang jjigae was also excellent--rich and comforting. The service was very friendly, and they even packed up the leftover vegetables for us to take home, which was such a thoughtful touch. The inside of the restaurant was a bit messy, but it was understandable, and the owner's generosity and warm hospitality left a great impression overall.

Why is this radish green? The smell was suspicious also.

First, my friend and I arrived at 11 AM, the advertised open time. An older man was inside mopping and asked us to come back in 30 minutes. Normally I'd go somewhere else but I had time and good company to wait. We came back in at 11:33 and he said to wait another 5 minutes. After the long wait we were first to be seated but second to be waited on. A Korean couple came in after us, was waited on first, and greeted properly. The man that was mopping earlier comes to our table second and shortly asks what we wanted to order. Before we could finish ordering all 4 meats he walked away. He brought 2 servings, turned up the fire, and walks away again. We were not asked about drink orders or sides at this point. Finally a woman enters and we were able to get water and sides from her. When we asked for the rest of our order she pointed to a buffet table. We get up and see that there are some sides available, but they are not fresh. The broccoli section had a few crumbs left (see pic) and the salad was browning. Maybe this was from a day or two before?? We were the first ones there so there was no excuse for the dismal presentation. Oh, and let me also say that the radish was green and sour. The kimchi had a terrible smell and needed to be dumped. On top of this, we were the only ones told to get up and serve ourselves. By this time, 3 other tables were seated and all being served as is typical of a KBBQ spot. The meat we did receive (never got the full order) was bland. We weren't offered more water. The woman was happily chatting with the Korean patrons and we felt like an after thought. Overall, the poor service, bland meat, and days old sides made this a "one and done" situation. There are so many tasty KBBQ places to go to in the area, go somewhere else.

Fresh Organic Ssamm from owner garden everyday!! So healthy!! I like coming this restaurant ~

This place holds a special place in my heart as one of the first local Korean restaurants I've…read moreeaten at since I moved to the area. It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

It "looks like a typical burger joint inside with Booths. There's a side door for to go orders. Food service was quick and the portions are big. For their price, I would hope so. We ordered the following: Bulgolgi Fries Garlic Steak Noodle Egg Cheese corn Ranking in best to so-so, I'd have to say is the steamed egg. Yes, I was surprised too. I thought the Bulgolgi fries would be number one. Sadly it's not. If you mess up steamed egg, ima gonna say no to the rest of your menu. I would order two next time and just stick to that. The cheese corn was okay, but compared to PaDak and other local Korean spot I say skip this. The cheese tasted weird to me and I did t like that it was also a kraft American cheese. As a cheese lover, I only expect that square cheese to be on a burger or cheese melt. The Bulgolgi Fries could serve 3 people. But it was drenched with sauce, and spicy sauce. Not enough Bulgolgi to pay $20. The cut of fries were this nd tasted like sweet potato. It just didn't fit my taste buds. The Garlic noodle okay. That's Al I have to say about that. I'm glad I finally tried this place, but I don't know if I would come back for anything on their menu. I would rather go next door or across the street.

From the friendly service that made us feel like home, to the delicious food, everything hit the spot. We ordered the cold noodle, seafood pancake, bibambap, and short rib combo. All the dishes were so good! And all the banchan that came with it was the cherry on top. The only negative was the table was kind of small for all the dishes...though that could have been user error with us ordering way too much. Portions were surprisingly big, especially the seafood pancake. The whole time, our littlest one was making a mess and the ladies that worked there did not seem perturbed at all, and kept commenting about how cute he was and interacting with him. This type of service and response made us feel more at ease and able to "enjoy" our meal, and that makes a world of difference. I would recommend! Note the parking lot is a little small.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.
