    Houston Restaurant Week Menu.
    Penelope O.

My first time here! We loved everything. My husband and son in law ordered from the Houston Restaurant Week menu. Beef Kafta Kebab was super flavorful. Sirloin Diane, yum! My daughter loves the Taragon Chicken. I tried the shrimp Alfredo Spicy whoa! So good! Our server was friendly and did a great job. The food was served fresh and hot. The restaurant was quite busy because of the special menu. But, the ambiance was upscale family experience. My daughter & sil dine here quite often and the servers are very attentive and friendly. We will be back.

I'm so incredibly bummed to have to share this personal (first time) experience....but I MUST be honest. $150 for some "Australian Wagyu"....there is absolutely NO WAY in hell that was "Wagyu" of ANY form whatsoever. Honestly, it didn't even pass as prime HEB ribeye. The reviews on Yelp are amazing - just do you're own diligence.

It was my very first time here, but what a pleasant, pleasant experience. First of all the service is absolutely superb as is the ambience. Secondly the food and in this case a cesar with salmon was just incredible. I had just recently heard about this restaurant and why I haven't known about it before now is really shocking to be quite honest. I have every intention of returning and having a steak it was simply too late on this particular evening for me to do so, but there is no question. Given the quality of the salmon I will return.

This place is SOOO DELICIOUS!!! Amazing happy hour old fashions and the picana steak was on point. Not to mention the friendly wait staff.

    Prix Fixe Menu June 2026

Our family of four went for an early Father's Day dinner in Saturday evening and all had the Prix Fixe Special. Had the lobster bisque and creamy onion soup, Korean BBQ wings (3) and Garlic Shrimp (3), Filet Kawi, Honey Beer Salmon and Poblano Mahi Mahi. For dessert we had Creme Brûlée and the Bread Pudding. All the food was excellent and good size portions. I plan on coming back for their Wednesday Wellington special soon.

My husband and I pass his establishment many times, so I decided for us to go and have a lunch date there which I think was a great decision because of the service, the food, and the price. We pretty much walked in around noon, was sat immediately and had the pleasure of being service by a young gentleman and his trainee. We decided to order the lunch special, which was a three course meal for $22.95. I chose the lobster base along with my husband, and then our second course was Korean wings and pretty much a fancy way to say three shrimps and butter. All items were delicious. Then I ended up choosing the pasta and he end up choosing the steak with the side of mashed potatoes. Service was good and they brought out this wonderful bread with his pecan butter and OMG it was so good. Didn't get to enjoy a drink, but all in all I am definitely coming back here possibly bringing some extra guest what's up? with me to enjoy this wonderful establishment. Update my husband said the asparagus was not good, and the bacon wasn't cooked. He did NOT like one bit. Then he said the loaded Mash was average, didn't like the sour cream spread. Which takes it down to 3 stars.

Red Flame was our Sunday adventure this week. I made reservations for 2:15 and arrived around 2:10. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated promptly. I am a restaurant professional and have been the majority of my adult years. I say that to point out a very restaurant noticeable issue. I noticed a smell of bleach in the store which would have not been a major issue, but it wreaked of using a dirty mop in bleach water. Now to most that may not be noticeable, but it was to me. As a suggestion rinse the mop with clean water before each use that will correct the smell. Our server Jacob greeted us promptly with a professional attitude and a smile. We were served warmed rolls with oil and butter. They were awesome!! He offered use drinks and promptly grabbed them. The menus are very extensive but easily readable. We decided on two appetizers. Oyster Nachos, and Stuffed Jalapeño's. Both were presented and served well. We loved them. We also ordered salads. My wife had the house salad with balsamic, and I had the Caesar salad. They both were very good. For our entrees I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare, with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. My steak was cooked spot on and stayed hot throughout the dinner. The last slice still had smoke coming from it. My mashed potatoes and mushrooms were great. My wife ordered the sea bass. She loved it, with the asparagus. The presentation of both meals was awesome. My wife went to the restroom and she said it was very clean and well stocked. I think the landscaping in the front of the restaurant needs to be updated. The floor was a little sticky, but seemed to be clean. The decor is simple and not over the top. If you want good food, at a fair price give Red Flame in Magnolia a try.

We selected red flame for our 25th anniversary dinner. This was a great experience the service was fantastic and all of the steaks were prepared properly. The only recommendation. Develop a non-alcoholic drink menu.

This restaurant is in a strip center, but don't let that stop you from making a visit. As soon as we walked in the service was great. We went for lunch and chose the three course lunch special. The food came out at the perfect temperature. The sweet potato fries were made with real fries and tasted so good. I loved their chimichurri sauce and the bread they brought out was so soft and good. This place is great for lunch, a date night, or just for some good food.

Appetizers. The salmon bagel bite, and beef skewer.

On the other hand, I want to recognize our waiter, who was excellent throughout the meal. Raymond was attentive, friendly, and did his best to make us feel comfortable again after the interaction with the manager. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food also fell short of expectations. In particular, I would not recommend the mussels. The flavor was unpleasant and left a very bad aftertaste, making them one of the least enjoyable dishes we ordered. Good customer service isn't just about enforcing rules--it's about how those rules are communicated. Unfortunately, the manager's approach, combined with the disappointing food, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

The restaurant is very dimly lit, but intentionally so -- just enough light to see your table and your plate. It creates an intimate, connected atmosphere where you naturally put your phone down. Soft live piano music in the background adds to the charm and makes conversation flow easily. I ordered the calamari, while my friend chose the oxtail tacos. Both came in generous portions, seasoned well, and arrived without a long wait. A strong start to the meal. For my entrée, I selected the whole red snapper, served with salad and plantains. I added a side of jollof rice, which paired perfectly with the fish. Another colleague ordered the pork chop with green beans and mashed potatoes -- absolutely delectable. I didn't finish every bite of my snapper only because I wanted to save room for dessert. Our table tried a variety: pineapple upside‑down cake, cheesecake, and key lime pie. Each one was a great finish to the meal and made the evening of catching up even sweeter. The chef personally greeted each table, which added a thoughtful, welcoming touch. Oyster itself was very flavorful. For starters, we had the Jumbo Peri Peri shrimp and Jollof's Fire Bomb. The shrimps were just regular shrimps and was chewy. The Fire Bomb was tasty with brisket meat inside. We order the ribeye and fried red snapper for our mains. Suya Ribeye was very flavorful from the African spices. The jollof rice was delicious. My first time trying it. Kinda crispy and has a kick. Fried Fred snapper was well executed. My wife loved it. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was so dark that you can't really see your food to appreciate the effort that was put into it. It was a nice gesture that Chef Casey came out to talk to his customers. For desserts, we had the crème brûlée and banana fosters. Banana fosters was a big scoop of ice cream with couple slices of banana which was a bit disappointing. In comparison to other HrW restaurants, you can get more bang for the buck at other places. We would go back for the mains but skip the appetizers and desserts.
