We visited the Katy Red Flame Steak & Grill for the first time tonight. Do not pass on this restaurant! Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful! We had the Beef Wellington and the Sea Bass. Both were amazing. The mashed potatoes were definitely from scratch! The owner, Julio, visited our table and was so nice! Here's my tip for this, don't forget to use the chimmichurri sauce on your bread and save some for whatever entree you order! It is out of this world! read more

We had a very good experience. It was our first time and both my wife and I ordered ribeyes. I particularly like this intermediate steak house because of the Spanish flare they have. Ceviche and even aquachile was on the menu. One little thing I would like to see though is to have the steak served on its own plate and to keep the sides separate but again that is very minor and would not deter me to go again. Everything was very tasteful and the cocktails were also very nice. It wasn't super busy and the ambience is nice. Our waiter was also very attentive to our needs and what he couldn't answer he would go find out. Overall we had a good experience. We spent about $140 for two and that was 2 ribeyes with two sides each, a salad, an appetizer and two cocktails. read more

Food was fantastic- wife had the filet, & I had the beef Wellington. The service was great too- our waiter Nelson did a wonderful job. The manager was very nice too- he checked on us from time to time. Great place to go for an anniversary, as the dessert was on the house. First time here. Danny was our server. He helped guide us through the menu along with the recommendations. The lobster bisque was very creamy. Crab came was hearty. The picanha was flavored just right and the filet medallions was just so soft. Amazing. Would definitely be back to try the wellington next time. The food and service is amazing. Probably the best bang for your buck you'll find in the Houston area. The dining area could use some upgrades and improvement but the food is outstanding. We went on my birthday with the kids and they sat us in the bigger booths, it was very dark, no lights at or near the table just one LED candle so it was difficult to see. The couples booths have a nice light on the wall in each booth so there is nice lighting in those. I think the lighting issue could be solved relatively easy and some upgrades to booths, silverware etc would go a long way. Amazing food! Steak was tender and juicy , sea bass was cooked so well! The stuffed jalapeños weren't my favorite, I think it was the tuna inside but everything else was yum!! The rolls they bring you out first have a pecan butter and tasted homemade! Do not let this place fail yall!! read more

No! No!No! Just left the restaurant with the hubby. It was our first and only visit. I was a little weary because they offered 15% discount coupons but i decided to give it a try anyways. It reminded of a steak from golden coral when i use to eat there when the kids were little. When I say no flavor. I mean no flavor. Maybe salt and pepper. Terrible. The most terrible Steak i have ever had at any steakhouse. No lie. I didn't bother to finish eating it. The chicken fettuccine was so bland. The sauce was so thin and watery. Salt didn't help it. This place is a strong no for me. On the positive the interior of the restaurant was nice and clean. It was a Saturday night and there were hardly any customers so the food came out fast. Looking for a new place for dinner, I stumbled across this place. Bretton was our server for the evening. She was very welcoming and was helpful in recommending meals. We started with the oyster nachos. I love oysters but had reservations about the cheese with oysters. It was not covered but just enough. My husband had the chimichurri burger. Perfectly cooked and delicious! I had the pablano Mahi Mahi. It was served with grilled asparagus and a pablano corn risotto. It was perfectly cooked and delicious! People, you need to RUN to Red Flame Steak & Grill. I cannot tell you how AMAZING this place is and it is certainly a hidden gem in Katy right off 99 and Morton Road. Everything and I mean everything we had was phenomenal and super fresh!! Didn't get pictures of all we had, but the bread was warm with a yummy pecan cinnamon butter, I got the strawberry mozzarella salad and hubby got the Korean BBQ skewers for appetizers, our drinks were great and main course we both got the filet. All was cooked to perfection and our waiter Nelson was very attentive. We even spoke to the owner Chef Julio who was a delight to talk to. I can't even with the dessert.....it was called the Chocolate Sphere and had a hard chocolate shell filled with a brownie and vanilla ice cream. The food is good.. we tried their red flame stuffed Jalapeños and Guacamole Chicharrones as appetizers. Both were average in taste. For main course we ordered medium rare 8oz Sirloin and Picanha Steak. The Sirloin was medium cooked and not medium rare.. the manager came and checked and even offered a new plate. I really, really wanted to love this place. I brought my husband here for his birthday. He LOVES steak. When we arrived, the host didn't actually walk us to our table, just pointed to our friends who were already seated. There was a huge party seated in the middle of the dining room. Our table was facing the bathroom and kitchen, which would not have been my preference. For some reason we were brought 5 rolls for 6 people and never brought more despite asking. Their ice tea is much, much too strong and several of us had to ask for cups of ice. I had the strawberry mozzarella salad, which I was excited for, but it was bland. My husband and friend had the tomahawk steak for two. My husband liked the steak, which was a win. But they brought their steak first and then we had to wait for the other dinners and their sides. My kids both had sirloin steaks, which they enjoyed. My friend's husband liked his pork chop. I had salmon which was overcooked. Everyone liked the mashed potatoes and creamed corn. We had the Chocolate dome and the Churro desserts, both had spectacular presentations, but were just okay taste wise. Saw posts about it on Katy/Fort Bend Foodies, and it looked like something we needed to add to our date night rotation. Their four course menu is phenomenal, and the rest of the menu looks like a must try for a return visit. Delicious bread to start, outstanding server and hostess. We tried the ribeye chicharrones and aguas chiles and both were amazing. I ordered a Sangria and it was made to perfection. The Webb salad and Caesar salads dressing are homemade and very delicious. My husband had the New York strip with grilled zucchini and loved it.
