i've been wanting to try out this bakery ever since finding out about them on tiktok! needless to say, their baked goods are so good and i can definitely see myself coming back in the future. - notes - both cash and card are accepted! all of their baked goods are either served cold or at room temperature. i'm not sure if there's an option to ask for them heated up. - atmosphere - the inside of this bakery is quite small. right when you walk in, there's a glass display of all the different baked goods that you can choose from. unfortunately, there's nowhere to eat inside. you can either eat on the bench or table right outside the bakery or just take your food to-go. - overall experience - i came in at around 3:00 pm on a thursday afternoon and there was basically no line. there was one person ordering in front of me, but the ordering and paying process is super quick if you know what you're looking for. i asked the worker for some recommendations, and she suggested the midnight banana bread and some of their cookies. there seemed to be only one person working at the time, but she was really nice and i appreciated her suggestions! - recommendations - highly recommend that you must try their toasted carrot loaf! their midnight banana bread is also great for chocolate lovers. 7/14/22 -oreo: i heard a lot of great things about their homemade oreos, but i was pretty disappointed. while the flavor of the cookie did somewhat resemble a regular oreo, the texture is what kinda threw me off. the cookie itself had a very cocoa-y flavor and tasted buttery. the thin layer of cream between the two cocoa cookies was pretty sweet and had a subtle vanilla flavor. when i bit into this, i was surprised about how grainy the cookie part was. it almost felt a bit sticky while i was chewing it; it's definitely not the same crunchy texture as your typical oreo, but i still liked how they decided to make their own version! for ~$2, even though the cookie was super small, the price wasn't too unreasonable. i wouldn't buy it again, but i also didn't regret trying it. (3.5/5) -midnight banana bread: i'm a big fan of banana bread so i was really looking forward to trying this! the bread was extremely moist and the perfect texture for banana bread. the best part of this was definitely the taste of the bittersweet chocolate and black cocoa! it was so rich and decadent, which i really enjoyed. my only complaint is that the banana flavor really didn't shine through enough, but i'm assuming that it did add some extra sweetness and moisture to the bread itself. it tasted more like really moist/dense chocolate bread rather than banana bread, so i would've definitely given it a 5/5 if there was more banana flavor. a slice costs ~$5, which isn't that bad since the slice itself was pretty big in size. i could definitely see myself getting this again if i'm in the mood for something chocolatey. (4.5/5) -toasted carrot loaf: i'm a huge fan of carrot cake so it was no surprise how much i loved this! the loaf had tons of cinnamon and spices that you'd get from your typical carrot cake. it tasted even richer and slightly nutty because of the brown butter they used! the loaf itself didn't taste much like carrots in my opinion, but it did add lots of moisture throughout! the inside of the loaf was soft and pretty moist, but the edges were a bit dryer and resembled a crust-like texture. also, the loaf and cream cheese frosting really complimented each other well! i did think that the frosting made this taste a bit too sweet, so the loaf itself was my favorite part. a slice of this also costs ~$5, and the size they gave was definitely worth it. this is also something that i might see myself getting again in the future! Love this bakery. Cookies are delicious and loaves are always moist with so much flavor--unique flavors, at that. The staff are friendly and the shop is adorable. I love watching their Instagram story every day to see what cakes they are serving my the slice (I've yet to try, but can't wait for the opportunity). Honestly am considering getting my birthday cake from here this year too because I love the shop so much and want to support. I ordered from here and i got a bunch of things, the confetti cookie and salted caramel brownie were AMAZING. The confetti cookie was seriously one of the best cookies i had this year. It was a nice size for one person and super soft on the inside but didnt have that undercooked texture. It was almost like in between a cookie and cake, chewy and moist with the nostalgic sugar cookie flavor. Definitely recommend if u like sugar cookies. And the brownie was perfectly fudgey and moist. The other cookies (chocolate chip, cannibal, oreo) had great texture but were more generic in flavor. read more

Tried cannibal, kitchen sink, toffee oatmeal, chocolate sea salt cookie and brownie fudge here. Their cookies are really butterly(? and thin, so every bite is a perfect mix of crunchiness on the outside and soft dough with butter aroma inside. The dough is not overwhelmingly heavy like cookies at levain. It's truly a nice balance between crunchiness and softness. I especially love the chocolate chip seasalt cookie. The salt is distributed well and it adds a new dimension of flavor without being overwhelming. Also it's not overly sweet(God it's so difficult to find cookies not overly sweet or heavy nowadays). For my pals who like not-too-sweet desserts(I know it seems contradictory), I won't recommend the brownie fudge. It is really dense and smooth which I love in a fudge, but its soooo sweet I drank water like crazy after two bites. And it's the reason why I'm taking off a star. So ive been waiting to try the white chocolate grapefruit cookie for literally weeks and when I did try it...it was not worth the wait. It tastes like a lemony white chocolate macadamia nut cookie thing without the nuts so the grapefruit, in my opinion, did not come through. Im big on quality vs value and never will I pay $4-5 on a single small cookie boasting such exquisite flavors ever again. Would i come alone? Absolutely not. Would i come with a rich Soho significant other who could afford to buy these cookies for me and not be impacted by any flavor letdowns? Of course. I've been following their IG account and finally got to sample their baked goods in the past week. Their cookies are pretty good, and really interesting in flavor profile. I had the PB/Miso, the Iced Oatmeal, and the Everything Bagel cookie. I liked the crackle and chewiness on them. The PB/Miso was probably my favorite, it had a great balance of sweet and savory. The bagel one was super interesting but kind of made me crave an everything bagel instead haha. I also had the peach cake slice, which I didn't like as much. I found the whole thing to be a little too sweet and couldn't eat more than 2 bites. I'd still like to try other cake flavors though because they've got some interesting sounding ones. read more

I came here the other day with a friend who lives in the neighborhood, and was really impressed by this place! Their cookies were just the right texture - chewy but not too soft. Favorite bakery in NYC bar none. Oh my goodness, where do I begin!!!? The Oreos, cannibal cookies, spiced oatmeal cookies and white chocolate grapefruit cookies are INSANELY delicious and you MUST TRY THEM. I'm not gluten-free, but the gluten-free option (chocolate nut) was divinity! The strawberry cake is something out of this world, I cannot wait to taste all of the other cakes that vary by the day of the week-- which is v. exciting!!!!! Diet starts tomorrow. Welp, I think I found another bakery that I'd like to find a way to move my bed to. I've only had a few items so far, but what I have had has been really good. The midnight banana bread is so wonderful in flavor, texture and great ratio of mix-ins. And then when I got it the second time with the peanut butter cloud, it somehow went to an even higher level, adding some nice salt to the dessert and not making it sweeter. This bakery is absolutely delicious! Between my partner and I, we have so far tried quite a number of things (White chocolate grapefruit cookie, brown butter blonde, salted caramel brownie, snoatmeal cookie, toasted carrot cake, cannibal cookie, vanilla bean strawberry dream cake, caramel iced white chocolate stout cake).... and honestly, they are all packed with flavor and make for delicious treats.
