Unattentive staff who are more concerned with their mobile devices than assisting customers.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Red Iron Mongolian BBQ. The staff was inattentive and the portions were extremely skimpy compared to what you would expect for the price. They were literally pulling the meat apart into tiny pieces to make the portions look bigger while giving very little actual food. The vegetable portions were also very small, and instead of providing a reasonable amount, they kept pushing customers to pay extra for additional vegetables. It felt more focused on upselling than providing good service or value. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling unsatisfied and not eager to return. Don't waste your time coming here!

Noodles with meat and vegetables $14.85 before tax

Pricing is on the pricier end and so less meat and vegetable. The taste is good though and the two young woman that was helping out was nice. The cooker not so nice, seems like he don't want to work. Food is tasty but i guess the ratio of meat, vegetable, and noodle is the same as ordering a chow mien at a restaurant... i'd eat again but probably not a frequent choice.

*10/10 Stars!* "I've been around, but this Red Iron in Arcadia, California, takes the cake! The service is top-notch, and the quality of the food is exceptional. If you're a steak lover like me, you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere in the mall is perfect for a night out or special occasion. Highly recommend! Five stars isn't enough - I'm giving it 10 stars!"

This place tries to scam your money. For extra noodles it literally says 3.50 and the lady charges me 4.00 as a side noodle instead. When I pointed to the menu she just ignored me and said that's just how it is. On top of that they put the extra noodles in a small bowl and the guy after who orders extra noodles gets his extra noodles put in a bigger full bowl. What an extremely shady place.

They put the food directly from the grill into this cheap styrofoam container. It's so hot it literally melted me and my boyfriend's boxes together and a hole through the top of the box. Yum styrofoam

I ordered this for dinner through uber eats. The noodles did not have a lot of chicken, they were mostly just noodles with a few vegetables and small amounts of chicken. The flavor was just okay, not the greatest. I did need to add more soy sauce for more flavor. I don't think the price is worth it because of the amount of protein you get. The food did come very fast, probably in about 30 minutes. I cannot comment about the ambiance since I ordered online.

Ordered food super late through DoorDash but food came as good as you'd get it at the mall, nice noodle fix. Driver and employees made food quickly and received it quickly

Entree - beef, broccoli, zucchini, celery and lots of water chestnuts. Selected medium heat...and it was not spicy (which is good).

I was craving Mongolian BBQ and the place I usually order from on Door Dash was closed. Gave Red Iron a shot despite the mixed reviews. Overall...I was satisfied however, it was not as flavorful as I had expected. Food was hot. I got about the amount of beef I expected when you order delivery. What they DID make good on was my request for extra water chestnuts. They were plentiful! Would give 3.5 stars, but can't give it 4.

Pretty tasty Mongolian styled food. I appreciate the wide selection of meats and vegetables you can add to your dish. The noodles were al dente and had a lot of flavor. I ordered the beef which was not entirely fresh but just average. Overall, I'd come here when I'm craving for some quick Asian food at the mall.

The main downside to this place is how little meat they give you. This place used to allow you to self serve and add as much stuff as you can fit into your bowl, but after COVID, they switched to the employees adding it to the bowl for you. Today we asked for beef and chicken and they gave us literally four pieces of beef and a small handful of broken pieces of chicken... they were slightly more generous with the vegetables and noodles but if they are going to charge $14.50 for a bowl, at least give more meat.

Honestly, I'd never tried Mongolian barbecue before, but this first experience blew me away. I'm so glad this place exists; I love supporting local businesses, and this one deserves a bigger spotlight. It's tucked inside a shopping center, surrounded by other stores, but parking was a breeze. I went on a weekday around noon, and they have a great lunch special which is $15.99 for one plate, or you can get the all-you-can-eat option for $21 or if you go for dinner time. I was torn between this and my usual craving for beef and broccoli from Panda Express, but I'm so happy I chose this spot. Once I walked in, a super friendly lady greeted me. she was fantastic. She explained the menu, walked me through everything, and you could tell she treated every customer like a VIP. The concept is so fun: you fill a bowl yourself with your choice of meat: chicken, beef, pork, or bacon and then veggies like broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and more. You can pick exactly what you want, and they cook it in front of you in no time literally a minute or two. The fact that everything is fresh, and you can see every ingredient, made it even better. Plus, she surprised me with a little sesame seed topping and brought out a fresh bread with a sweet-and-sour dip which was really good. For just $16, it was an absolute steal. And she even mentioned a senior discount, which is a great touch. The decoration and table/chairs are a little outdated but no big deal. I left feeling so satisfied. this place is a gem, and I really hope more people discover it and keep it thriving. We need to support local businesses like this when the food is tasty and fresh, have a good friendly staff and prices are reasonable!

Not…read morejust the restaurant, but the entire shopping center it's in right off the 10 freeway next to Denny's. This place honestly felt like such a random rediscovery, and now I'm already planning to bring my grandparents back tomorrow because I know they're going to love it. First off, I really appreciated how straightforward the pricing was. They give you two options, either a one-time bowl for around fifteen dollars or all you can eat for a little over twenty. For a sit-down restaurant experience, that felt more than fair. And honestly, if you're even a little hungry, just go all in with the all you can eat because the whole concept is part of the fun. What really stood out to me though was the service. From the second we walked in, we were welcomed so warmly. She explained everything, helped us get set up, and made the whole process feel super easy, especially if it's your first time. At first I thought maybe she was going above and beyond because she saw us taking pictures, but then I noticed her interacting with other customers the exact same way. She was helping a gentleman at his table, checking in on everyone, refilling waters, just genuinely attentive without being overbearing. It felt natural, not forced. The food itself is exactly what you want from a Mongolian barbecue spot. You build your own bowl, choose your sauces, and they even give you a guide if you're not sure how to balance flavors. The sweet and sour sauce was honestly so good. Everything gets cooked right in front of you and comes out in what feels like under two minutes, steaming hot and fresh. If you're doing the one-bowl option, pro tip, stack that bowl high. If you're doing all you can eat, you can take your time and try different combinations each round. One thing that completely caught me off guard was the bread they had in the middle area. It was fresh, slightly sweet, and just really good. It's little things like that that make the experience feel more complete. And then what really sealed it for me was something small but meaningful. As we were leaving, I saw her helping an older woman, literally holding her hand and walking her out. That had nothing to do with us, nothing to do with a review, that was just who she is. That kind of genuine care is rare, and it stuck with me. Overall, this place is easily a five out of five for me. The food is good, the concept is fun, the pricing is fair, but the service is what really makes it stand out. It's the kind of spot you bring family to, especially people like my grandparents who would enjoy the experience of building their own plate and being taken care of at the same time. Safe to say I'll be back very soon.

I really liked the restaurant's simple and clean interior design, especially the Mongolian grassland wall art and the portrait of Genghis Khan, which gave the place a unique atmosphere. The Salt and Pepper Lamb Chops ($33.88) were the highlight of the meal and definitely a must-try! The skin was crispy while the meat stayed tender and juicy. The Shredded Cabbage ($15.99) was also good and the Cold Dish Appetizer Trio -- cucumber, seaweed, and shredded potato salad ($7.99) -- was refreshing. Bowls of steamed rice cost $2.50, and we each got one. Portions are generously large and worth the cost; we took leftovers home. The tea offered to us tasted good. The slippery shrimp had a nice crisp with a pleasant blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. There's a slight spice from the red chili that felt mild on my tongue. This was our first time trying out the dish, and we liked it the most. The orange chicken tasted solid, and it had a slightly crispy texture. For some reason, the rice had an aftertaste I wasn't familiar with, but it was still fresh. There was a fortune cookie at the end of our meal. I'd come back for the slippery shrimp and order something other than the orange chicken. The restaurant opened at 11:30 am, and we were one of the first customers to dine in. The ambience was quiet and relaxed, but they got busier as many more people arrived. Service was good as the staff packed our leftovers in containers for us. Our server asked us where we were from as he was used to seeing regulars during the time we visited.
