Not like how it used to be. I remember coming here often. I feel like the portions are alot smaller now. I asked for tofu and they gave me 4 pieces and when i asked if they could give me a little more she just added 2. The one who gave us meat seemed to give us a decent amount though. She seemed nicer. Noodle sizes seem to have shrunk but i guesd that was why they asked if we wanted extra meat or noodles Im just glad the noodles are back to their orangeyness.

OK, so you've been to these types of spots before, right? These places were huge in the 90s and early 2000s, back when you could load and pile up your bowl with as much "Mongolian" bits as you could. It was like an acquired skill to see how much food you could stuff into one bowl. Those days are over now, unfortunately. They won't let you near their bowls. Thanks a lot, Bin Laden. Well, Red Iron at the food court in the Arcadia Mall still keeps it real, though. Sort of. Prices for their stir-fried noodle entrees are still reasonable, and they load your bowl up big time. Not 2004 big time, but in this economy, it's big. This is a large meal and you won't be getting cheated. Proteins are turkey, beef, chicken and pork. I usally stick with the chicken and pork as those cuts are not as tough and chewy like the beef. Sure, this isn't exactly authentic Mongolian cuisine and nothing is barbecued here, but if you're hungry, this will hit the spot.

Noodles with meat and vegetables $14.85 before tax

Pricing is on the pricier end and so less meat and vegetable. The taste is good though and the two young woman that was helping out was nice. The cooker not so nice, seems like he don't want to work. Food is tasty but i guess the ratio of meat, vegetable, and noodle is the same as ordering a chow mien at a restaurant... i'd eat again but probably not a frequent choice.

Barely any meat. Beef tastes like the freezer

BLAND & STINGY PORTIONS Dont waste your money here. They don't let you grab your own veggies meat! I usually share a plate with my kids when I get Mongolian bbq at the Brea Mall but here it's not enough. Meat tastes like freezer. No flavor in the stir fry my son didn't eat his. They don't have siracha hot sauce just the chili oil one. They don't even give you free cups of water. She said you have to buy it! Never eating here again.

*10/10 Stars!* "I've been around, but this Red Iron in Arcadia, California, takes the cake! The service is top-notch, and the quality of the food is exceptional. If you're a steak lover like me, you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere in the mall is perfect for a night out or special occasion. Highly recommend! Five stars isn't enough - I'm giving it 10 stars!"

Unattentive staff who are more concerned with their mobile devices than assisting customers.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Red Iron Mongolian BBQ. The staff was inattentive and the portions were extremely skimpy compared to what you would expect for the price. They were literally pulling the meat apart into tiny pieces to make the portions look bigger while giving very little actual food. The vegetable portions were also very small, and instead of providing a reasonable amount, they kept pushing customers to pay extra for additional vegetables. It felt more focused on upselling than providing good service or value. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling unsatisfied and not eager to return. Don't waste your time coming here!

Extra noodles in the small bowl instead of the deeper one at the bottom that the guy after me got
    Pattie P.

This place tries to scam your money. For extra noodles it literally says 3.50 and the lady charges me 4.00 as a side noodle instead. When I pointed to the menu she just ignored me and said that's just how it is. On top of that they put the extra noodles in a small bowl and the guy after who orders extra noodles gets his extra noodles put in a bigger full bowl. What an extremely shady place.

I ordered this for dinner through uber eats. The noodles did not have a lot of chicken, they were mostly just noodles with a few vegetables and small amounts of chicken. The flavor was just okay, not the greatest. I did need to add more soy sauce for more flavor. I don't think the price is worth it because of the amount of protein you get. The food did come very fast, probably in about 30 minutes. I cannot comment about the ambiance since I ordered online.

They put the food directly from the grill into this cheap styrofoam container. It's so hot it literally melted me and my boyfriend's boxes together and a hole through the top of the box. Yum styrofoam

Ordered food super late through DoorDash but food came as good as you'd get it at the mall, nice noodle fix. Driver and employees made food quickly and received it quickly

Entree - beef, broccoli, zucchini, celery and lots of water chestnuts. Selected medium heat...and it was not spicy (which is good).
    Bob S.

I was craving Mongolian BBQ and the place I usually order from on Door Dash was closed. Gave Red Iron a shot despite the mixed reviews. Overall...I was satisfied however, it was not as flavorful as I had expected. Food was hot. I got about the amount of beef I expected when you order delivery. What they DID make good on was my request for extra water chestnuts. They were plentiful! Would give 3.5 stars, but can't give it 4.

The main downside to this place is how little meat they give you. This place used to allow you to self serve and add as much stuff as you can fit into your bowl, but after COVID, they switched to the employees adding it to the bowl for you. Today we asked for beef and chicken and they gave us literally four pieces of beef and a small handful of broken pieces of chicken... they were slightly more generous with the vegetables and noodles but if they are going to charge $14.50 for a bowl, at least give more meat.

    Hannah B.

Pretty tasty Mongolian styled food. I appreciate the wide selection of meats and vegetables you can add to your dish. The noodles were al dente and had a lot of flavor. I ordered the beef which was not entirely fresh but just average. Overall, I'd come here when I'm craving for some quick Asian food at the mall.

I will gladly and without hesitation put Canyon City Barbeque up there as some of the best Barbeque I have ever had in my life. When I say I dream of their Barbeque, I mean it. Just writing this review my mouth is salivating as I think back on the food. We ordered the Canyon City Sampler, and it is without a doubt the way to go if it's your first time. It was enough meat for 3 hungry adults with leftovers. The sampler let us to try every cut of meat they had, and every cut is barbecued to the highest level of quality for the cut. The brisket and ribs were our personal favorites. I was also blown away by how perfect the chicken was. Every side is pure deliciousness. Don't sleep on the cornbread. I wish we would've ordered even more. The texture is perfect. Crisp crunch on the outside and perfect moisture on the inside. The way cornbread should be. The Mac and cheese and coleslaw were absolutely delicious as well. We all wish we would've bought some of their Barbeque sauce to take home. They have 2 main sauces, one for pork and one for beef. I would happily drown myself in either. Our server was very polite, attentive, and made amazing recommendations (though I'm now convinced I could close my eyes, point at the menu, and be a happy camper lol) I seldom have reason to be in the area, but I now will be looking forward to making a trip back to specifically to grab some Canyon City Barbeque.
