So this review is strictly based on their Caesar Salad with Salmon. OMG- AMAZING. The salad dressing was trasparent for lack of a better word. I even had to ask them if they put dressing on there. But boy when i took a bite I tasted the most amazing dressubg ever. Its like no other caesar dressing i've ever had. The sald was 12 bucks but it was well worth the money. The only issue is parking. I rode around the block for about 30 min till I could find metered parking. So go get the Caesar salad!!! read more

Came here for a quick lunch. The food was good, not great. The service was fast and friendly. It's in the lobby of the Hyatt.

Fantastic service. Cold coors light. The staff works very hard especially Casey who helped me with my weird requests.

We waited 40 minutes for 2 fried egg sandwiches and a banana foster pancakes while there were maybe 2 other tables. They came out cold, and essentially inedible. The only saving grace was the excellent manager who offered to pay for it and let us eat at the buffet instead. The food looked great, but was cold and inedible. read more

Simply the best tomato bisque I've ever eaten. Stayed at the Hyatt last week and arrived around 1:00. Checked into the room and came down for lunch. The menu contains several good choices, but the temperature meant soup for me. As I stated, it was the best. The service was excellent, and the chef sources local suppliers, which makes you feel better on so many levels. read more

Really disappointed in this bar -- Was actually staying at the Hyatt for the eclipse and Red looked good when my wife and I sat down at 9:00 on Sunday night. Unfortunately, the bartender was inattentive in the extreme! -- couldn't bother to look my way despite my standing for 10 minutes at the bar. I'm from LA, so I understand waiting patiently for a bartenders attention, but when Mr. Mr. decided to finish what he was doing and wait on another patron who had just pulled up, I decided there was no reason for me to give him (or the Hyatt) the not inconsiderable money I was planning on spending for drinks and dinner. I had the breakfast buffet. It is a bit pricy but very good. Made to order omelettes, the usual breakfast sides, a nice selection of fruit and breakfast pastries. The price for a sit down omelette breakfast is almost as much as the buffet so you might as well get the buffet. read more

I LOVE VACATIONS... COCKTAILS EVERY NIGHT. And I'm not much of a drinker, as a matter of fact I really don't enjoy the taste of alcohol (I cant speak for my wife though) I don't drink at home and only drink a Miller Lite or 2 - Tuesday nights for 3 months a year during my dart season. But when I go on vacation it different Stoli, Grey Goose, Belvedere at trendy lounges almost every night not to get drunk just to have a good time. RED Bar fits that bill, It took about 15 minutes before a waitress came over and took our order due to a relatively big party in the corner but other then them the place was pretty empty. I ordered a Stoli & Cranberry my wife ordered a Gray Goose Martini with olives. We didn't get our drinks for about 10-15 minutes but it was OK we were in no rush. When we finally got them, my drink didn't have lime and my wife's didn't have the olives even though we asked twice. After we flagged our waitress down to let her know the martini didn't have olives she blamed it on the runner (not in a derogatory way) shes was new and just forgot to put them in she said. I guess the waitress figured we'd believe the "new girl" was making the drinks? Oh I forgot my wife ordered a 7" veg. pizza pie (I could put this sentence up where it belongs near the ordering part but my mouse battery is dead and I don't want to use the arrow keys) she got the pizza and absolutely loved it. Don't let my 3 stars stop you from going its a beautiful bar, our waitress was actually really nice and the drinks were strong and my wife thought the pizza was delicious... but this is a review and rating site and It's on me to be honest. Delicious breakfast buffet! Great food and courteous staff, though the service seemed to drop off as we stayed longer.

Was staying at hotel for conference. Got in late decided to have dinner at bar. Decent wine selection. Awesome roasted beet salad! You must try it - has beets, goat cheese mousse and arugala. The pasta was good not anything extraordinary but good. Overall service was great, ask for Jenny and Jamie to serve you. read more

Two thumbs up to the gal at the hostess stand who was so accommodating with my to-go request. Not only were my two chicken pesto panini perfectly packed, but the hostess even offered to call up to my room when they were ready. The panini were delicious, with generous amounts of chicken and Parmesan potato crisps on the side. Oh, the Parmesan potato crisps! Delicious kettle cooked potato chips--so bad for me but sooooo good! Prices are very reasonable. Or maybe they just seem reasonable because I'm from San Francisco and used to paying $5 for a tomato :) read more

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and service this weekend (23Feb13) at Red Kitchen at Hyatt Regency St. Louis. We ordered three appetizers: Crab Cakes, Beef Short Rib Flatbread, & Toasted Ravioli. The Ravioli was good and the Pomodoro Sauce that accompanied it was fresh and vibrant tasting (perhaps the best part of the whole meal). The Crab cake tasted as if it had been in the back of a freezer too long and had absorbed the flavors/odors of the freezer & and the avocado relish that accompanied it was terrible completely over-powered by onions, you could not taste anything else. The Beef Short Rib Flatbread was soggy and unappetizing too much juice and sauce for the tortilla like "flatbread" to absorb, the Horseradish Cream on top was quite bland and tasted more like Ranch Dressing than Horseradish. Lastly, our waitress was not attentive, she did not offer us a Children's Menu (I was with my two year old daughter), she only offered to refill my water once, after I had asked her for our check; overall she gave the impression that she was not familiar with the requirements of her job. read more

Attended the National Conference of African American Librarians. Ate most of my meals at Red Kitchen. Tasty, meals presented well. , Loved the burger, and the breakfast buffet was best I've experienced in awhile. Great variety. Wait staff were Direct, pleasantly responsive, efficient staff. The server was extremely rude. We walked in and Jose see's us and says "there's another restaurant down the hall." The only table available was dirty, we asked if we could sit there, once they cleaned it off it took several minutes for him to come to our table. When he did goes goes "what do you need?" in a rude impatient tone. We did not have menus so obviously we didn't know. We asked for menus he brings our able of 7, 3 menus and immediately asks us what we want to drink, they didn't have cocktail menus so we felt pressured to just say beer quickly. After he brought is our drinks he goes "do you want food?" When we said yes he moved his hands like hurry up. From the very beginning it was awful and we were made to feel like she shouldn't be there. Will not be returning. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant in the hotel I'm staying at. Great quality food, grass fed beef, free range eggs. Breakfast buffet is excellent . And the dinner buffet is great and a good deal $ 12.95. I highly recommend eating here if you are in St. Louis. read more
