Evidently as I was walking out of bathroom, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and $100 fell out of my pocket. I love this place. I don't come here very often though because of the price range. The first time I came was for a shrimp special deal. Other than the thoroughly cooked and marinated shrimp, the order consisted of delicious complimentary biscuits, and one of the most satisfying salads I have ever had with just the right touch of cheese and dressing. The atmosphere is also great. It's very peaceful and classy. Great for a family dinner or a romantic date. My only complaint is that my shrimps were smaller than I had imagined, but nevertheless the deal was still good. read more

Coming from the Houston area always having a wonderful experience while visiting Austin my boyfriend and I decided to keep it traditional tonight choosing red lobster. We both so happen to work as servers in the restaurant industry so we understand the type of hospitality that is required. The staff were some what busy or just short handed but our server Brent was doing an amazing job taking care of us. We accidentally forgot to request the bread from him and figured Emily another server near by would be able to help us, she so rudely let us know that she could not and would have to get our server to assist us. Yuck! My family and I went here for dinner. We ordered stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, and they were sitting in an inch of butter/oil and were really chewy and small. We order steamed Maine lobster tails for dinner. Wow, what a disappointment. They were overcooked and poorly presented. To top it off, the employees were inattentive. When Red Lobster advertises "Lobster Fest" then they should all Lobster to what ever pate they use Lobster on. DO NOT order the Lobster Pizza unless you want more tomato and basil than lobster. Whether its an appetizer or a full meal when you have Lobster Pizza on your menu then the key food item is LOBSTER, NOT tomato or basil. Jeff is the best. We have a large family and we always get him as our waiter. We have teenage boys that destroy the cheddar biscuits and drink 3 or 4 glasses of water before we order, my man is on top of refills for both and is always right on time. Have a severe gluten allergy, was optimistic when I looked online and it said they have many options but when I got here none if those options were on the menu and my waitress was totally oblivious to what gluten even was. After they brought my carefully ordered plate out to me they had placed all my non seasoned food on a bed of gluten and when I pointed it out she simply related my food onto a different plate. At this point I was so hungry and it was obviously hopeless to explain why that was unacceptable so I picked at what I could. She failed to tell me the skewer they just used to cook my food was hot and I burnt my finger so bad it blistered before I left the restaurant. Worst dining experience ever!! read more

Tried the surf and turf, peppercorn streak and lobster tail with mashed potato and broccoli. we asked for medium well and got the meat rare. as we cut into the meat, it left all the juice on the mashed potato. It was sent back for more thorough cooking. I ordered the 4 course meal for 15 bucks. Not a bag deal at all, your choice of soup, salad, entrees and dessert. the entrees are not petite, pretty big portions. Three biscuits are always nice. My husband and I were baby free for the day, and decided we wanted to have dinner. After much discussion, we finally decided on this location and went in. We had an AMAZING time! Our waiters name was Robert, and he did a fantastic job when it came to tending to all of our needs, and the rest of his other tables he had. The food came out in a timely manner, and tasted amazing! This is a good chain restaurant. They have good unique drinks if you have a good bartender. Of course the biscuits are usually warm and Yum-O. The caesar salad is usually good. I'm partial to any place that has seafood. I was looking for oysters on the half shell and surprised that they did not have them, but I stayed anyway. Had the 4 course seafood meal - clam chowder, cesar salad with cheese biscuits, fried shrimp, and then key lime pie (really good). And of course drinks - bloody mary and a dirty martini. I was actually surprised with the tini since I had the bar pour. I watched her make a long island ice tea - wow. Next time I'm going to order the tea. Food was good and hot, service was good. I love this location, I've never had any problems. Food is always great and fills me up every time! Staff is amazing and always nice. Last time i went I got snow crab plate that was extremely juicy! My husband had the steak and lobster but he wasn't very satisfied with his lobster tail. It looked pretty dried out with no taste. His steak was good but was upsetting that he couldn't enjoy his whole plate. They did take along time to bring us our biscuits and had to ask for it. They waited to bring our food out first which i thought was odd because we usually get served that first while we wait for food. But other than it was good. Date of First Visit: June 4, 2008 When I used to live in Boston, I would sometimes get a craving for those Red Lobster biscuits. Unfortunately, the closest Red Lobster was in another state, Connecticut. So, I was a bit excited to learn that there's quite a few Red Lobsters here in town. Yes, they're a national chain, I know, and some of their selections aren't exactly nouveau cuisine or even healthy. But, those cheddar biscuits are something else! I got the Sailor's Platter on my first and only visit thus far. The cod fish fillet tasted off, but the shrimp scampi and fried shrimp at least were as good as I remember them to be. And of course those biscuits! My waitress gave me six, so I took four of them home and had them the next day. Ummm, by the way, they're not as good the next day... So if you're going to red lobster you pretty much know what to expect, mediocre food with mediocre service. We end up going when the need for crab legs strikes usually the service is pretty so so, last night out server was stoned out of his gourd. But he did a great job, forgot some extra napkins but the level of entertainment watching him interact with his other tables earned him a 20% tip! The ends of my crab legs were still cold like they stuck out of the boiling water while the rest of it got warm but that would have happened if I made them at home anyway! My Mai tai was sticky sweet and boozy and the cheddar bay biscuits had my daily allotment of sodium but there were no surprises. I think my favorite dish is the crab and shrimp linguine but I am always ready to try a different entree every time we go to Red Lobster! BUY SOME FREAKIN TEA SPOONS!! The waitress and two managers tell me that corporate will not let them buy teaspoons. I used a butter knife to stir my iced tea. I ordered the best steak on the menu with a side of alaskan snow crab...both come out cold. I don't normally eat at low quality restaurants and don't mind paying 30-40 bucks for lunch. This was the 2nd time I had ever been to RL and obviously I wont be back. Anyone in the kitchen that negligent should not be handling food. Went out for dinner last night and oh boy! Best experience I have ever had at any Red Lobster. Everything from the service to the food was impeccable! The biscuits were so fresh, the cheese instead was stringy when you opened up the biscuit. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I got the Seaside Shrimp Trio and all of it was amazing but the shrimp scampi was definitely my favorite. My boyfriend got the blackened tilapia and savored every bite! Food and service were both great. The price range of "moderate" was for the lunch menu since I went at lunch. I wasn't a fan of the rice -- had the skewered shrimp over bed of rice, but that's just my personal taste. It was cooked properly & I'm sure other people like it. Most likely the worst experience I've had going here. I got a waiter named Micheal, he took over 6 minutes to ask what we would like to drink. Came back 10 minutes later with one drink at a time. Not once did he smile, as if he was disgusted by the fact that he had to work on a Sunday. Not once did he ask if we needed anything or how everything was. The restaurant was not busy at all, I would understand if it was later in the day but we came in 10 mins after they opened. Never going back. Also left a review on google.
