First I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 10 years. My husband & I decided to give it a try since the new CEO took over and did a re-vamp. The service was top tier. Our waitress and the manager Julie were great. Very attentive and friendly. Now the food-For appetizers we got the crab queso and dragon shrimp. The queso was delicious! I honestly got full off of that and the biscuits. The dragon shrimp had a weird taste and I couldn't eat more than one. My main meal I tried one of the new offerings, the boil. I was underwhelmed. I'll stick to Fiery Crab for that lol. Overall my experience was decent. It's not Mike Anderson's so I wasn't expecting it to be. I'd probably come back to try additional menu items. read more

It's been about 10 years since I've dined at a Red Lobster restaurant, I arrived at Red Lobster around 5:00 PM for a quick dinner. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the friendly hostess and seated shortly after. The restaurant was very clean but it's aging with some of the booth seating ripped and torn. The server Mechelle approached the table within 5 - 7 minutes of being seated, introduced herself, and took my drink order which came out quickly. She also brought out a basket of cheddar bay biscuits that were served warm, soft, buttery, and had great cheddar flavor. The biscuits were very good. I could return just for the biscuits. I ordered the Lobster Lover's Duo with two lobster tails, a Maine tail and a Rock tail, both roasted to perfection served with melted butter for dipping, and I choose loaded mashed potatoes and bacon mac and cheese for my two sides. The portion sizes were appropriate and filling. The meal was surprisingly very good and exceeded expectations. The lobster tails were average in size, looked amazing and were perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes had plenty of bacon, green onions, bacon, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. The mac and cheese were not dry but could have used a little more of the cream cheese sauce. Overall, it was a good dining experience. My only complaint would be the server could have been a little more attentive and smiled a little more. read more

I came in after doing a few things in the area. I waited at the host stand for almost 20 minutes after several people had walked right by me. I was seated, four separate people at four separate times asked for my drink order. I was brought a sweet iced tea 15 or so minutes after being seated. 45 minutes later my food order was taken and I was given a refill of my beverage. About 30 minutes later my food came. The main dishes were well prepared and flavorful but unfortunately the side dishes were awful. The rice was still crunchy and the baked potato was like a rock. My wife asked me to "cut it " for her but I left my chain saw at home. The bright moments of our evening were with Carlton, our server, who was very pleasant, personable, and responsive. Very large parking lot. We were greeted and seated immediately when walking inside. The restaurant was very clean. My daughter and I shared a platter with lobster, crab and shrimp. The menu clearly states the shrimp are imported. They were small but cooked and seasoned okay. The lobster was good. Crab was overcooked and not edible. My husband has main lobster tail and garlic lobster tail. He said it was all cooked, seasoned and tasted well. We both had a side salad that was very nice but only had a very small amount of dressing. Cheddar biscuits were delicious as always. Our server was outstanding and did a great job. Visited Red Lobster on Friday to use a gift card someone gave me. On arrival no one was at the host stand, but after a few minutes someone came and seated us. Restaurant was pretty empty, especially to say it was a Friday evening. Our server was nice. We were pretty hungry and a little disappointed that it took about 10 minutes for the biscuits to come out. However, they were nice and fresh and we enjoyed it. I ordered the stuffed flounder and it was okay. It came with a sauce on top that was too cheesy to me. It tasted like it had cheddar cheese in it, but I believe a sauce with Parmesan cheese would have paired better. While it is fish, it tasted a little too fishy to me. The food here was disappointing. The biscuits are good but you can tell it is just cheese and a whole block of butter. We ordered a fish sandwich the fish was small and had a really fishy taste it made me think the McDonald fish sandwich would be a better option. I also got the lobster bisque it tasted like chemicals and felt like it was just microwaved and no lobster meat for the price of the bisque it definitely wasn't worth it. The chips and queso was alright and that's about it. Service was also alright. The person who is taking my order seemed like she was done with the job and didn't seem happy. I don't think I saw a smile at all that night. Overall I paid $80+ for food I can get for a much better deal somewhere else I hope the food quality will improve in the future and when that happen I would gladly like to try it again. read more

This review saddens me.. Visiting my hometown and was craving an Ultimate Feast.. So took a friend to Red Lobster by the mall. It did not start out well. We stood at hostess stand for 15 min. Made eye contact with a couple of servers & the bartender.. but never got seated.. finally a third server, Cheyanne , saw us and sat us. She was our server. The two bright spots for visit: cheese biscuits & service. My salad had wilted lettuce.. was ordinary at best. My friend ordered coconut shrimp and I ordered the ultimate feast. The lobster & snow crab were good not great.. the Walt's favorite shrimp (fried shrimp) were horrible. Tasted like it was old grease. My friend's coconut shrimp were even worse.. bad grease.. tough.. maybe over cooked.. we told service. She took it back.. manager came out.. asked if she could fry a new order.. so she said sure. Yesterday we went to celebrate my Mom's 79th birthday at her request and this was the worst food ever, we spent almost $400 with a party of 6 . My name is Ada Shavers. My husband & I visited the Red Lobster on Blue Bonnet Blvd in Baton Rouge La. On 8/2/25. We normally go to Mike Anderson for our seafood, but I was very excited to try the new seafood boil. We arrived and were happy to see it wasn't crowded at all. We wait over 30 minutes to be seated, after we were told it would be a 10-minute wait, 3 people left because the wait time was so long. Once we were seated, we waited another 45 minutes for our food. when we finally got our food, it was horrible! it was warm not hot, the sausage that was supposed to be an ounce was 4 tiny slices absolutely not a ounce! We ordered more sausage, that came 25 minutes later. It had been microwaved to the point 3 pieces were black & not inedible! we asked for the manager. She came, apologized & said she would correct it. While she was gone I started a eat the lobster tail. It was RAW! By this point we were DONE!!!! We made the manager aware of this. She said she would take care of it, when we looked up the manager with purse on her arm & bags in hand was quietly slipping out of the door. We asked a waitress to catch her, she went and told her we wanted to know what she was going to do about our food? The waitress apologized to us & said she was going to get the other manager. Manager #2 comes, says she'll take $20 off our ticket. I very firmly said we would pay for our drinks, but not the meal! That's what we did. We tipped the waitress who was very stressed about the situation. After assuring her it was not her fault, we left. I thought about it and because Red Lobster is one of my favorite eateries, (I love lobster), I gave it one last try. I'm glad I did. I came on the right day. There was a decent size crowd there but not too busy. It was quiet and conducive to enjoying a great meal. I was greeted and seated almost immediately with my guest upon arrival. Kia was tending to the bar as well as helping customers in her section. She was very friendly and attentive. She checked on us quite often. I was amazed and very appreciative of the attentiveness and detail that went in to making sure our dishes were prepared correctly. Management also came to check and make sure everything was good. We even had food left over and got to go plates with no problem. If my Red Lobster experience was like this every time, I'd be here every week! It did restore my faith in one of my favorite restaurants, and I'm glad I gave it another shot. read more

The restaurant was open for awhile and was in the middle of the lunch hour. Once the hostess got our names, she went to talk to one of the waitresses to walk us to our table. This didn't last too long and we were seated quickly. The waitress came and gave us our menus and took our drink orders, but she seemed distant and not in a good mood. Once we got our orders in, we waited almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to be served our food. Good thing we had the biscuits to help us through it. The waitress did not refill it often; however, we were able to make it last and got 2 refills within that time. Our waitress did not come and check on us often. We never got our waters refilled, and we had to ask busboys and other servers for refills of the biscuits. Once we did get our orders, the waitress put them all down on the table and did not even put it in front of the right person. We had to switch it around. Additionally, the waitress got one of our orders wrong. We told our waitress and not much was done about it. The only saving grace that this restaurant had was the taste of some of the food. The biscuits were creamy, flakey, and warm. The maple glazed chicken with grilled shrimp skewers were tasty. The chicken had a nice maple glaze that did not over power it with sweetness and did a good job in adding flavor to the dish. The grilled shrimp skewers were seasoned pretty well. The petite lobster and shrimp was decent. The shrimp was bland. The lobster had some shells in it. The bread did have a nice sweetness to it which was good. The presentation for all dishes were nice. The catfish dish that we had was disgusting. It had a strong game-y taste, the kind that indicated that the fish was not fresh. The good parts of this dish was the mashed potatoes and fries which were simple enough to not mess up. Due to the bad service, I took off 2 stars. For my time and mood during and after the experience, I took off 1 star as it made me a little frustrated. The restaurant did deserve the 1 star as some of its food was good.
