My family and I came here for dinner yesterday. Let me say the NEW Cedar plank lobster and shrimp was mouth watering good. Very good seasoning. The lobster and shrimp was grilled to perfection. The corn and potato was season good as well and the smoke sausage was delicious as well. You won't be disappointed with the new cedar plank platters. The worst experience by far. We tried to order a togo, which is supposed to be a simple task and we thought that would be preferred over us dining in on New Years. We came in and the entire restaurant was empty, and no one was in the front. We saw one lady sitting in the waiting area and we asked her to help us put in a togo order and she asked us for the name. She ran to the back and came back saying "Theyre working on it." We told her we didnt get to put in the order yet and she just said oh and sat back down playing on her phone. We should have left at this point but instead asked her if we could put the order in? And she finally realized and took our order. She brought our order to the back kitchen and we waited 30 minutes and walked back in to grab the food. The restaurant was empty for 15 minutes and I had to flag down a bartender for help. She went to the back and asked for someone to come to the front and still no one came. After about 10 minutes I went and looked for a server and she told me there was no togo order put in. At this point it had been 45 minutes since we ordered our food and our time had been completely wasted. The bartender even saw me waiting still after she tried to find someone and still didnt attempt to look for someone else to help. Tip: dont open on New Years Day if your staff is incapable of handling even a single togo order! The hubby has always wanted to try shrimp fest, so when we saw it being advertised on TV we had to head over. We got there around 4pm on a Saturday and they were packed! The atmosphere here is like all other Red Lobsters they have lots of nautical themed items and of course a lobster tank up front. It is comparable to an Applebee's or chili's. We stood around for five minutes before a server came up and seated us. Then we waited another 5-10 before our waitress came by. She quickly took our drink and food order. She brought us our drinks, and apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. We got our side salads after about 20 minutes and then about 30 minutes in we got our basket of cheddar bay biscuits and shortly thereafter we got our first order of shrimp. When you order the endless shrimp for $17.99 you get a couple options. We could choose from shrimp Alfredo, fiesta shrimp(tortilla chip battered covered in cheese sauce), shrimp scampi, popcorn shrimp, and a sesame ginger glazed shrimp. Your initial order you get a side of your choice, a side salad and you get to pick two options from the shrimp menu. Thereafter when your waiter drops off your shrimp you can order one shrimp dish at a time. After the rough start of waiting so long for our food a lot of the other diners cleared out and we received our subsequent orders within minutes. The shrimp was good and our waitress was very nice and attentive. Side note they have their waitresses and waiters working so hard! They're in charge of seating, serving, and bussing their own tables. When you're offering a promotion like endless shrimp there is a bunch of dishes to be cleared too! The food was good and fresh but it was nothing amazing. We were disappointed in the shrimp scampi, I don't think that they use real butter, and it was a bit bland it could have used more garlic. Got home and found I was missing my add-on grilled shrimp skewer. I called back and was placed on hold for more than 10 mins then I was told they would transfer me to the manger. Manger never answered and my call was sent back to the front desk she said she would try again then, I kept getting this annoying recording that kept saying the same thing over and over and over again. I went here for lunch with my husband. Our waitress was also the hostess, bartender, and clearing tables. She was awesome, just imagine how much better this lunch would be if they had more employees working here. The food was good, we had the Monday lunch special which is a really great deal. There was no bacon on Mac , no lobster in my mash potatoes which I paid 7 extra dollars for, and the Brussels sprouts were mushy instead of crunchy like usual. Basically $25 of my $40 meal was trashed. I called to get a refund and while the sweet lady named Stacy I believe, helped transfer my call to a manger, the manager never answered. I usually have such a great experience here but this last visit was just shocking. My boyfriend and I arrived mid afternoon on Mardi Gras day and when we got there there was a line out the door. Now we thought wow ok they must be swamped but no there was a line because no one was at the front seating people. I hadn't been to a Red Lobster location in probably 20 years, so when a friend said he'd never been, I decided to join in. Personally, I don't eat a lot of seafood, so I was expecting to have a pretty terrible time. Fortunately there are even a few items on the menu that are seafood free so everyone can find something. I ended up getting a steak, which was probably one of the worst steaks I've ever had. It was full of gristle and about 1/3 of it was just impossible to eat. My friend had one of the feasts that came with all kinds of seafood and he polished it completely off. He was pretty happy. The service on a Tuesday night was not bad at all. She brought us everything we needed, even anticipating certain requests. Would I be back? Probably not. The price for the 2 of us was over $60 which was just too high for what we got. He didn't notice the hair until he was down to the last piece of shrimp. The manager casually walked over and advised that he'd discount the food item. So in other words we still paid for it as he only took $5 off. My food was ok but I wasn't enthused about finishing it because I was too busy looking for hair in my food. My sister and her family go here all of the time and rave about the Garlic Shrimp. I ended up going to a location in ATL and enjoyed the Garlic Shrimp. It took a lot of convincing and showing pics on Yelp for my husband to agree to go. We went on a Sunday evening around 5:00 and had no wait. My husband was utterly surprised at how much he enjoyed it! He had the wooden grilled shrimp with wild rice, baked potato, and house salad. I had the Garlic Shrimp, house salad, and baked potato. Everything was delicious. We also had the lobster artichoke dip and it was wonderful. With all of that the bill was only $58.00. We will return. I don't suggest any of the fried food but the grilled and baked dishes are very good. A lot of people like the complimentary biscuits but we don't really care for them. read more

What a disappointment! So we went to red lobster for lunch today. . . . It was about a 50 minute wait. I understand the corona thing, but he told us about 30 minutes, ( 4 sets of customers came out and no one went in) and when we were seated, the table had crumbs on it. I was hoping for oysters on a half shell, but apparently they don't serve those anymore. I ordered the 'ultimate surf and turf' ( there is nothing "ultimate" about this plate) for the incredibly overprice for the size of the lobster, the burned brussel sprouts, (presented like they wanted that particular dish to have the main focus) and the completely undercooked bacon in the bacon wrapped scallops of $35.99. The "filet" was small but cooked perfectly. I tipped the waitress, of course, because she did a fabulous job and it's not her fault that the restaurant she works for has gone downhill so poorly. Wonderful experience! Jamarcus was extremely attentive and professional. It is one of my biggest pet peeves when a waiter sits a very hot plate in front of my two year old daughter. So I was extremely appreciative that Jamarcus set her plate out of her reach so she did not have the opportuniy to grab it. The food was phenomenal. I got the Maple Glazed chicken. My broccoli was overcooked and too salty. The shrimp scampi...I honestly, do not-- have-- words. The texture and the taste were all off. My mom wanted some mashed potatoes, but they sent "crispy" brussels sprouts??? She tried but could not stomach them...they were too greasy and nary a crisp to crunch. My dad is just hard to please, in general, so I won't bother saying what he said. What was supposed to be the highlight of the evening, Monsieur Cheddar Bay! The biscuits look as if they just gave up on life and want to return to wherever Cheddar Bay is. They were flat and had no soul. I've actually been to Red Lobster twice in the last two weeks. I would rate this the same both times. They have good service and I've never had a complaint about the place. Both visits were on a weekend around 6:00 pm, and each night we were seated immediately with no wait. The cheddar biscuits were fresh, hot, and delicious. The first visit we tried the spinach and artichoke dip, which was only okay and I would not order again. The second visit we had the seafood stuffed mushrooms, which are excellent and worth a try. I had the ultimate feast both visits, which I love because I get a variety of food. The drinks were well made. I had no complaints about my hurricane the first visit, or my mango mai tai the second. My friend ordered the caramel appletini both visits and loved it. Its a typical chain restaurant but the food is good, as well as the service. If I had any complaint about it, it would only be that during the second visit our waitress was slightly awkward, making a weird comment once or twice that we were unsure how to react to. She also brought our salads before our appetizer, which really in the grand scheme of things isn't a big deal. This is a favorite and we'll definitely go back. read more

He screwed up my drink order. It took about 30-45 mins for our food to get there. The chicken had a glob of sugar sauce in it which was terrible. Once we finished we had to wait about 20 mins for him to bring us our check. We paid and as we were walking out he ran us down in the parking lot and said that we didn't pay for our drinks.
