Haven't eaten here in over 20 years. I guess there are several towns like GJ that are so full of people with little to no reference for what decent food is that allow Red Lobster to stay afloat. The service was sub par, the biscuits were super salty, the bisque was cold, gelatinous, lumpy and a weird shade of orange. The shrimp were mushy. The salads were the worst part- wilted, warm and some of the leaves were actually a repulsive color brown. The only reason I didn't take pictures was because a family member requested this place for something 'different' as a birthday dinner, and I didn't want to make them feel bad. To be honest....well I'm African American. The area isn't brimming with us I believe. I requested a booth. When it was time to be seated I was literally walked past 5 empty booths in active server stations. I was sat all the way in the back in a corner away from virtually everyone. My server was ok but really didn't recommend much of anything. So I politely ordered and ate. The food was good but I felt put out of sight on purpose. But its 2018 so I tipped 20% for service that was lacking simply to impress upon her and them that stereotypes are so 1960. read more

Probably the worst fried fish I've ever had. Greasy and fishy. Fish and "chips", french fries _ Dripping and oozing grease! Four nearly identical cookie cutter pieces, oddly exactly the same shape, thickness and size. Except one was really fishy dark brown. Couldn't eat it. Also , by our standards, over priced. This is not gourmet sea food. And while I'm at it , the hostess was not very welcoming. Restaurant was not busy for lunch but she said, "Where am I going to put you?" Biscuits are still very good but they won't give them to you until after you order. "People might think they are the appitizers." What??? read more

My husband and I both got diarrhea; both had asparagus. Both meals were NOT hot. Very tasty but this visit made us sick.

The food was pretty good. Not the most amazing thing ever. There were flies buzzing around our entire meal. And when we were done we found one in my cocktail. Ordered the popcorn shrimp, it is not de-veined. Manager came by and gave some excuse it cannot be de-veined, which is BS and then stated they don't de-vein the majority of their shrimp. I have seen plenty of popcorn shrimp that has been de-veined. Gross. Also the waiter wasn't knowledgeable of the menu. When asked what else was in the Pineapple Salsa, "Umm, Pineapples...I think tomatoes..." Then said I get my choice of two sides plus a salad, what sides do you have? His response, it's on the menu...Lastly, no refills, at all, not once did he ask, when clearly the glasses had been empty. The shrimp thing set the mood. read more

Red Lobster is a Nationwide Chain of overpriced frozen food at best. If you can't get to a Seafood Restaurant near the Ocean, this will not satisfy your craving. Sure you get consistancy at every location you go to, but it is very poor qaulity. Don't waste your time. read more

Went to Red Lobster for lunch today. Lunch menu stated under specials that if ordered between 11am and 3 pm, you get $2.00 off. The price listed was $21.39 (ish). DONT FALL FOR IT!!! My 89 year old grandmother ordered the swordfish (she loves swordfish and was excited about the discount) what a surprise when we got the bill. Apparently the discount was included in the advertised price... (Keep in mind that it didn't say that anywhere) waitress was very nice but the manager seemed more concerned to prove that she was right (she evidently does not understand that the burden of clear advertising is on her as the manager) decided that this we not a battle I wanted to fight. But didn't want others to be bamboozled. Food was decent though. read more

One of the best quality service and food out of the all the Red Lobsters that I visited in the country. I usually do not eat at Red Lobster due to poor quality , but I was visting my nephew in Grand Junction. Not many choices for seafood in smll town so we tried and we were very happy with overall service. All other Red Lobstes should follow this stores rules and policies. read more

I ordered the fish and chips and it was nothing to write home about. The fish was coated in a totally unexpected coating, kind of like bread crumbs, very greasy, they were using flounder which was out of the ordinary and it lacked a lot of flavor for some reason, the fries were overly salted and I was not impressed with their tartar sauce. I have always had good experience at this location, they're always pretty much consistently above-average. However, last night's visit was a bit different. I went for 'Crabfest'. Unfortunately they were out a particular type of crap that the dish I wanted was made with. Long story short, I was about to leave disappointed when Robert, the manager, who was a very cordial and considerate person, made sure that I did not miss out on Crabfest or leave unhappy. There was a little piece of wire sticking out of the sit, and my wife hurt her leg while sitting there. The waiter was nice enough to provide us with some bandage and told us to be more careful. We haven't received any apologies, and they did't even fix it right away. The food was OK for the price, but after what happened I'm never coming back. read more

Wow! I'm shocked at how expensive Red Lobster is now. I don't know when their prices went up, but some menu items have gone up $2-5. And some of their choices have been reduced...for example, the 4-course (soup, salad, entree, and dessert) has increased by $2 with less options. One could get the less expensive entrees, like fish and chips...but they could also find much tastier fish and chips somewhere else for about the same price. Even many of the appetizers are close to $10. Let me say, I don't mind spending money on a great meal. I have many times, but the meals have been great. The prices at the Grand Junction Red Lobster are competing with high end, even gourmet restaurants in town. BUT the quality and/or taste of the food is mediocre. My husband's pasta was heavy and portion smaller than it used to be. My friend ordered the lobster $33, and his sides were okay...asparagus tough and mashed potatoes a little gray. My fish was comparable to what I could find at the frozen section of the grocery store. Luckily the rolls and clam chowder were still delicious. We spent less at a local renowned upscale sushi restaurant (with SAKE!) than we did at Red Lobster. The restaurant is pretty and so are the bathrooms and our server was terrific...the food, not so much. If you're looking to spend money on a good meal, I'd choose something else. read more

We unfortunately chose one of our used to be favorite restaurant for dinner last night. Our drink orders were filled promptly but the biscuits were not served until after we ordered. I ordered the Pub Style fish and chips that touted they were cod. They should have used the caveat minced fish. I think I found two dime sized pieces of cod in four pieces. The rest was ground fish that was unrecognizable. Some paste was very dark. I had to ask for the cole slaw that was supposed to come with it. I should have asked for mushy peas but the irony would have been lost. My fries were cold and soggy. My husband had the shrimp and lobster. No salad and a side anymore. Just one side. He asked for Caesar salad and a baked potato butter only extra butter. The waitress told him it would be $1.99 extra. He said fine. The orders came separately; his last. It had a baked potato with butter and sour cream so she took the whole plate back. By the time she returned his dinner was cold. By the way the new menus are terrible. For all the knocks on Red Lobster...I have never once had a bad experience there. The food is always good, not on the ocean fresh but still good. The service is always good. I recently went to a joes crap shack in CA and experienced what a truly bad chain seafood restaurant is like. Made me appreciate my local Red Lobster all the more. read more

O.K., no, I don't like chain restaurants as a rule because they constantly switch managers, use nearly all canned and frozen food, and every new manager tries to cut food costs and then you wind up with something like Olive Garden. There is no organic or non GMO food in chain restaurants. However, this is a place my mother in law likes to go and I'll concede to her on a few points. The service here at the Grand Junction Red Lobster has always been good. The restaurant (for the most part) has always appeared to be kept clean (not sparkling but clean). I stick with the chowder, salad, and/or Salmon (only Alaskan/wild caught none from British Columbia due to the reported disease outbreak in Salmon there). The biscuits, I have to admit, are good. My husband and kids order Red Lobster's lobster and crab but have never been terribly impressed with the flavor, texture or freshness. Red Lobster will never compare to an ocean front or upscale restaurant that deals in local fresh caught fish. But we don't have an ocean in Colorado and as chains go I have to give this particular restaurant good marks for what it does do well as I mentioned above. You can go out, have good service and a fairly good meal. Desserts of course are frozen fare. Also, you will pay more to eat here. read more

Really had great service. Our waiter worked hard. The food was ok. The worst part was that they turned off the AC and it was so hot. It made it hard to finish our meal. People looked so hot and sweaty as we left. I feel bad for the waitstaff working hard. Maybe that's why they wear black. read more

Red Lobster Grand Junction - I invited friend to join me for my birthday dinner and walked away disappointed and embarrassed to have my friends drive 4 hours for a mediocre meal. I was with other friends a couple days ago (Wed) I had the Roasted vegetable and tilapia. I really enjoyed it. I was looking forward to having it again. It was Father's day, not busy and an early dinner (5:30 -6:00) - they ran out if tiapia - that just seems like poor planning. Well I decided to splurge and ordered Lobster topped with Lobster - the picture was appealing and I love lobster. The final product was NOT at all like the picture - very small, lobster didn't taste fresh - it was more texture than flavor. The lobster on the lobster was 3 very small smashed pieces of something that didn't taste like lobster. The green bean were not cooked through and less than room temperature and the mash potatoes had too much liquid, like mush. And it was overpriced for the product. One of my friends ordered 1 1/2 lb king crab - it was very, very salty and again not a very fresh taste. The corn that came with i looked like to was cooked yesterday and left out. Another ordered a combination - his response was just a shrug. He gave me his shrimp scampi because it was far too garlicky for him - I liked the garlic but the shrimp was small and like the lobster, more texture than flavor. Another had fish and chips - the fish was good but not exceptional and he had few "chips" fries - soggy and room temp. As I was describing our experience I wish I had sent the food back. I don't know if this is normal quality because we don't go out to eat very often, so this fact makes the experience more disappointing. The service was also mediocre.
